Car service to Enercare Centre drops you at 100 Princes' Boulevard on the Exhibition Place grounds, about 4 to 5 km and 10 to 20 minutes from Union Station and about 24 km and 25 to 40 minutes from Pearson. On show days, agree the entrance and a pickup point before you go in, and keep the car by the hour if your finish time is uncertain.
The Enercare Centre is the largest exhibition building at Exhibition Place, and on a busy weekend the grounds can host a consumer show, a BMO Field match and a conference at the same time. This post is the show-day playbook: gates, parking, drop-off habits, transit and the cases where a chauffeur clearly wins. For the venue overview, including VIP and exhibitor services, see our Enercare Centre and Exhibition Place car service page.
Car service to Enercare Centre: how does a show-day drop-off work?
The chauffeur enters the grounds through whichever vehicle gate is open and least congested, follows the grounds staff's directions, and sets you down at the entrance your show uses. Exhibition Place does not publish a limousine bay, so we do not invent one. On quiet days the set-down is at the building's main public entrance on Princes' Boulevard; on peak days it can be a short walk away, wherever traffic staff allow passenger cars to stop.
Before you step out, agree two things: which door you will come back to, and how you will signal the chauffeur. A text when you start walking out is enough. The chauffeur waits nearby, not in the set-down lane.
Which gates and roads lead onto the grounds?
Exhibition Place lists five vehicle entrances on its getting here page, named for the roads that feed them: Dufferin, Strachan, Newfoundland, Ontario and British Columbia. In practice, cars from downtown come along Lake Shore Boulevard or King Street West, and cars from Pearson come off the Gardiner Expressway.
Which gate is best changes by the hour. A BMO Field match loads the east side near Strachan; a big consumer show's parking traffic loads the lots near the Enercare Centre. Our chauffeurs check the grounds' event calendar and Ontario 511 before leaving and choose the approach on the day.
How much parking is there, and does it fill?
Exhibition Place lists about 5,400 parking spaces across the grounds, including 1,300 underground, with the Enercare Centre's own garage holding 850 of them. Surface lots carry numbers in the 850s, and payment is by Green P mobile pay. There are 88 accessible spaces across the lots and the garage, plus EV charging in the underground garage.
It does fill. The Royal's visitor page warns that parking is not guaranteed because the grounds host several events at once, and the same applies to big show weekends. We do not print parking rates; check the grounds' page for current charges.
How do driving and a chauffeured car compare?
| Factor | Drive and park | Chauffeured car |
|---|---|---|
| Getting a space | Not guaranteed on peak weekends | Not needed |
| Walk to the hall | From the lot or garage level | From the set-down point |
| Purchases and brochures | Carried to the car | Left in the trunk on hourly bookings |
| Leaving at close | Lot exit queues with the crowd | Chauffeur meets you at an agreed door |
| From Pearson | Rental, 427 and Gardiner, about 24 km | Flight-tracked pickup, 25-40 min |
| Evening plans | Drive after the event | No driving; alcohol stays at the event |
When is transit the better choice?
For a solo visitor or a couple travelling light, transit to Exhibition Place is good. Exhibition GO station on the Lakeshore West line sits beside the grounds, and Exhibition Place notes a newer north-side station entrance opened in October 2024. The TTC has drop-off points on the grounds, and the Royal's visitor page lists the 29 Dufferin bus and the 509 Harbourfront and 511 Bathurst streetcars for its show. Check GO Transit and the TTC before travelling, because event days change service.
A chauffeured car is better for families with young children, older relatives, mobility needs, exhibitors with kit, visitors arriving from Pearson with luggage, and late finishes in winter.
What timing should visitors plan from downtown and Pearson?
Typical planning figures to the Enercare Centre: Financial District hotels about 4 to 5 km, 10 to 20 minutes; Yorkville about 7 to 8 km, 15 to 25 minutes; Billy Bishop about 3 km, 5 to 15 minutes; Pearson about 24 km, 25 to 40 minutes; Mississauga about 27 km, 25 to 40 minutes; Oakville about 33 to 35 km, 30 to 45 minutes.
On a show day, add 10 to 15 minutes for the last part of the drive onto the grounds. For a timed session, such as a horse-show performance at the Royal or a keynote at a trade show, add 20 minutes from uptown or the suburbs.
Which shows bring the biggest show-day crowds?
The consumer shows in the cooler months. As checked on official sites on 2 October 2026, the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair runs 6 to 15 November 2026, the One of a Kind Christmas Show runs 27 November to 6 December 2026, the Toronto International Boat Show is listed for 16 to 24 January 2027 and the National Home Show for 5 to 14 March 2027, all at the Enercare Centre.
Our Royal Agricultural Winter Fair visit notes, Toronto Boat Show car service and National Home Show guide cover each show's quirks. In late August the CNE takes over the whole grounds, and traffic runs differently again; see our CNE page.

Where should you agree to meet the chauffeur at the end?
Inside, if possible. Pick a landmark in the main lobby rather than "outside the doors", because at closing time the doors are crowded and every car is trying to stop at the same kerb. Text the chauffeur when you start walking; they move from their waiting spot to the agreed door, usually within a few minutes.
If you lose signal in a large hall, step outside the main entrance and call; the chauffeur will already be close. On an hourly booking there is no penalty for a few extra minutes inside.
What mistakes do show-day visitors make?
- Booking the return for the closing time. Halls empty slowly; book 20 to 30 minutes later or keep the car hourly.
- Choosing a meeting point outside in winter. Lake winds at Exhibition Place are cold in November and January.
- Not checking BMO Field. A match on the same evening loads Lake Shore Boulevard and the east gates.
- Under-sizing the vehicle. A family of five with coats and a stroller needs an SUV, not a sedan.
- Leaving purchases to carry on transit. Big bags from a craft or home show are awkward on a crowded train.
How should exhibitors handle drop-off on move-in days?
Exhibitors use different entrances from the public and follow the show's move-in instructions. Freight goes through the show's contractor and the building's truck bays; passenger cars do not use them. Our chauffeurs set exhibitor teams down at the entrance the organiser names and help unload personal cases and display pieces at the kerb.
An hourly chauffeur in Toronto, from a 3-hour minimum with extra time in 30-minute blocks, suits move-in because nobody knows when the stand will be finished. The car waits nearby and does the supply run.
Should you book one-way, a return or an hourly car?
It depends on how fixed your day is.
- One-way: you are dropped and make your own way home, for example by GO train. Good for a visitor with a firm plan.
- Return: two fixed times. Good when the session has a known end, such as a ticketed performance.
- Hourly: one car and chauffeur from a 3-hour minimum, extra time in 30-minute blocks. Best when the finish is uncertain, when you carry purchases, or when the day continues elsewhere.
For most consumer shows, families choose hourly because nobody knows when the children will be ready to leave.
What does a family day at a consumer show look like?
A worked example for a family of five staying in Yorkville:
- 9:30 a.m. SUV at the hotel with two booster seats, booked in advance.
- 9:55 Set-down at the show entrance on Princes' Boulevard; meeting point agreed in the lobby.
- 12:30 Lunch inside the show; the chauffeur waits nearby.
- 2:30 Purchases dropped in the trunk during a quick text-and-meet at the door.
- 4:15 Collected at the lobby door and taken to the hotel, avoiding the 5 p.m. exit queue.
That is about seven hours by the hour, with no parking search, no carrying bags to a train platform and no cold wait outside.
Can visitors with mobility needs be dropped closer?
Usually the chauffeur sets down at the closest point that grounds staff allow for passenger cars on the day, which is often closer than any parking space. A wheelchair-accessible vehicle is available when booked in advance; tell us about the wheelchair or scooter at booking. Chauffeurs also fold and stow wheelchairs and walkers for passengers who can transfer to a seat.
Exhibition Place lists 88 accessible parking spaces for visitors who drive their own adapted vehicle.
How does the Enercare Centre fit a longer Toronto day?
Exhibition Place is close to many other places but not walkable to most. A family might do the show in the morning, lunch in Liberty Village, then the CN Tower in the afternoon, about 4 km east. A business visitor might move from the show to a Financial District meeting, then to Billy Bishop. Booked by the hour, one car strings these together; booked as one-way rides, each leg is a new wait.
What happens on the busiest evenings?
When a show closes at the same time as a BMO Field match or a Coca-Cola Coliseum event, everyone leaves together. Our chauffeurs stage away from the busiest gate and may ask you to walk a few minutes to a quieter side of the grounds, which is usually faster than waiting in the queue at the main entrance. Waiting ten minutes in the lobby while the first wave clears often gets you home sooner, too.
How do I book car service to the Enercare Centre?
Open the reservation engine on any page or go to /book/, enter the Enercare Centre, 100 Princes' Boulevard, and your pickup address, choose a transfer, a return or an hourly booking, and the fixed fare appears before you confirm. It includes the chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, tolls on the planned route and gratuity, with HST shown separately. If you are coming from out of town, the travel desk can book flights and a hotel near the grounds.
