TorontoBlackLimousine.com drives guests from Markham hotels to Pearson and back, and serves Richmond Hill hotels on the same terms. Markham's Highway 7 hotels are about 40 km and 30 to 50 minutes from Pearson, and about 30 to 35 km and 30 to 45 minutes from downtown Toronto. Book your Markham hotel car and the reservation engine shows the fixed fare before you confirm.
Markham hotels to Pearson: how the car service works
Markham and Richmond Hill sit on the northeast side of the Greater Toronto Area, across the region from the airport. That distance is the main reason visitors book a car: a taxi from Pearson to Markham is a long meter ride through three highway systems, and no train runs directly from the airport to York Region. A pre-booked black car turns it into a single fixed-fare trip.
Enter your flight, the hotel name or street address, the number of travellers and bags, and the vehicle class in the reservation engine. The fixed fare appears before you confirm. Your flight is tracked, the pickup is timed from the actual landing, and the chauffeur goes directly to your hotel's front drive. For the return, the car collects you at the hotel at the time you choose and takes you to the right terminal.
Where are Markham and Richmond Hill hotels, and which do we serve?
We pick up and drop off at any hotel with a street address in Markham or Richmond Hill. The hotels cluster in a few places: the Highway 7 business corridor between the 404 and Woodbine and Warden avenues, Downtown Markham around Enterprise Boulevard, the older village of Unionville, and Richmond Hill's stretch of Highway 7 and Yonge Street near the 404 and 407.
On 30 September 2026 we checked Monte Carlo Inn Toronto Markham on the hotel group's own official website, and we name it only as an address we drive to. Most other hotels in these corridors belong to large international chains whose sites block automated checks, so we do not list them. TorontoBlackLimousine.com has no partnership with any hotel, and guests book us directly; enter your hotel's address and the booking works exactly the same.
Distances and drive times from Markham and Richmond Hill hotels
These are dispatcher planning figures for a weekday outside the rush. The reservation engine quotes the exact fixed fare for your hotel, date, time and vehicle.
| Hotel area | To Pearson (YYZ) | To downtown Toronto (Union Station) |
|---|---|---|
| Highway 7 and Woodbine / Warden (Markham) | about 40 km, 30–50 min | about 30 km, 30–45 min |
| Downtown Markham (Enterprise Blvd) | about 42 km, 35–50 min | about 35 km, 30–45 min |
| Unionville | about 42 km, 35–50 min | about 35 km, 35–50 min |
| Richmond Hill (Highway 7 and Leslie / Bayview) | about 35 km, 30–45 min | about 28 km, 30–45 min |
| Richmond Hill (Yonge Street north of the 407) | about 35 km, 30–45 min | about 30 km, 35–50 min |
Add 15 to 30 minutes at the morning and afternoon peaks, when the 404 and the Don Valley Parkway slow sharply. Snow adds more.
The 407 ETR or the 401: which way to Pearson?
Two main routes connect Markham to Pearson. The first is the 407 ETR, a tolled highway that runs east-west across York Region and usually flows freely even when the 401 is jammed. The second is the 401, the busiest highway in North America, which is untolled but regularly slows through North York near Yonge Street and the Allen Road.
The chauffeur chooses based on live traffic. Our fixed fare already includes 407 tolls if the route uses the toll road, so you never see a separate toll charge and there is no reason for the driver to avoid the faster route to save money. At quiet hours the difference between the two is small. At 5 p.m. on a Thursday, the 407 can save 20 minutes or more between Markham and the airport.
What the fare from a Markham hotel includes
We do not publish price lists. The reservation engine shows the fixed, all-in fare before you confirm: chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, 407 ETR tolls if used, airport fees and gratuity, with HST shown separately. No meter, no surge, and no change to the fare if your flight lands late, because the pickup follows the tracked flight.
What changes the fare is simple: the vehicle class, distance and time, extra stops, waiting beyond the included allowance, and the date and season. Included waiting is 30 minutes from landing on Canadian domestic and US flights, 60 minutes on other international arrivals, and 15 minutes on hotel pickups, then 15-minute blocks. Our how our fares work page sets it out, and the trip planner gives distance and drive time for any address.
Meeting your chauffeur at Pearson for the drive to Markham
Your booking will show Terminal 1 or Terminal 3, depending on the airline. The standard fare includes curbside pickup at the designated area for pre-arranged cars on the arrivals level; Toronto Pearson's own ground transportation page describes the options, and you tell the pickup-area dispatcher you are waiting for a pre-arranged ride.
Meet & greet inside arrivals, with the chauffeur holding a name board, is an optional add-on at booking. It is worth it for first-time visitors to Canada, parents travelling alone with young children, and executives arriving on a long-haul flight who would rather not look for a car. Either way, the chauffeur messages when your flight is on the ground, and the drive to a Markham hotel usually starts within minutes of you walking out.
Lobby pickups at a Markham or Richmond Hill hotel
For a departure, the chauffeur arrives a few minutes early at the hotel's front entrance and messages you. Fifteen minutes of waiting is included on hotel pickups. Because Markham is a longer run to the airport than downtown, we suggest leaving about 3 to 3.5 hours before an international flight and 2.5 hours before a domestic one during the day, and a little less very early in the morning when the highways are empty.
If two colleagues are staying at different hotels, one on Highway 7 and one in Richmond Hill, add both as stops when you book. The chauffeur plans the order of pickups so nobody waits in a lobby longer than necessary. For a whole team leaving at once, an SUV or a Sprinter is simpler than two or three sedans.
A day of meetings along Highway 7: when the hourly chauffeur wins
Markham is one of Canada's largest technology and head-office clusters, with offices spread along Highway 7, Woodbine Avenue, the 404 and Warden Avenue. Visiting executives often have three or four meetings across Markham, Richmond Hill and North York in a single day, and each hop is short but awkward by taxi.
That is where our lead product, the hourly chauffeur service in Toronto, makes the most sense. You keep one car and one chauffeur for a 3-hour minimum or the whole day, with extra time in 30-minute blocks. The car waits outside each building, you work between stops, and lunch or the airport run at the end of the day are part of the same booking. For as-directed days with no fixed plan, see private chauffeur service.
Events at Markham and Vaughan venues
York Region hosts a steady calendar of banquets, weddings, product launches and conferences in hotel ballrooms and large banquet halls, many of them on Highway 7 and in the business parks beside the 404 and 407. Our Markham and Vaughan event venues page covers the main ones and how drop-offs work.
For a corporate event, the useful pattern is a Sprinter that shuttles guests from their hotels to the venue and back at set times, with one or two sedans for executives on their own schedules. For a wedding, a stretch limousine from a partner operator for the couple and a Sprinter luxury van for the wedding party keeps everyone together. Groups and multi-vehicle bookings are priced in writing by a coordinator.
Richmond Hill hotels: Highway 7, Yonge Street and the 404
"Richmond Hill hotels" usually means one of two areas: the Highway 7 corridor between Leslie Street and Bayview Avenue, close to the 404 and the 407, or the Yonge Street hotels north of the 407. Both are convenient for offices in the Beaver Creek business park and for visitors to family in York Region.
From Richmond Hill, Pearson is about 35 km and 30 to 45 minutes via the 407, and downtown Toronto is about 28 to 30 km and 30 to 50 minutes via the 404 and the Don Valley Parkway or down Yonge Street. The City of Richmond Hill site covers local events and road closures. For a longer look at the city itself, see our Richmond Hill car service page.
From a York Region hotel into downtown Toronto
Staying in Markham and spending evenings downtown is common for families and business visitors alike. A chauffeured car avoids the Don Valley Parkway at rush hour and event parking downtown. From Highway 7 to Union Station is about 30 km and 30 to 45 minutes on a clear evening; to Scotiabank Arena or Rogers Centre, similar.
For a Blue Jays game, a Leafs or Raptors night or a concert, book by the hour so the chauffeur stays close and collects you as the crowd leaves. For a conference at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, a morning drop and an evening pickup may be enough; for an executive who also has lunches and client dinners, keep the car all day. Our convention and meeting hotels page explains how the downtown halls fit together.
Which vehicle suits a Markham hotel transfer?
For one or two travellers with standard luggage, a business sedan is the everyday choice, and the electric Tesla Model Y fits the same two passengers and two bags. Executives often choose the first-class sedan for a long drive across the region.
Families and teams of up to six with four large bags take the SUV or the premier luxury SUV. For seven people, or a delegation who want to talk on the way, the executive Sprinter has lounge seating; the first-class executive Sprinter has six captain's chairs and work tables. Stretch limousines, party buses and coaches come from vetted partner operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network, booked through the same Toronto account.
Families, visiting relatives and weddings in York Region
Many guests at Markham and Richmond Hill hotels are here for family: a wedding, a graduation, a new baby, or a long visit with relatives who live nearby. The airport transfer is often the most stressful part of the trip, especially for older relatives arriving on a long international flight.
Book meet & greet for them as an add-on and the chauffeur waits inside arrivals with a name board, helps with the bags and walks them to the car. Child seats (infant, convertible or booster) are available at booking. We have a wheelchair-accessible vehicle for anyone who must stay seated in a wheelchair or scooter, available when booked in advance; for passengers who can transfer to a seat, the chauffeur folds and stows a wheelchair or walker.
GO trains, Union Station and York Region
GO Transit's Stouffville line serves Unionville and Markham, and the Richmond Hill line runs north from Union Station, so commuting downtown by train is possible on weekdays. Check GO Transit for current schedules before you rely on it, because service patterns differ by time of day and on weekends.
A car makes more sense when you have luggage, when you are heading to the airport rather than downtown, when the train timetable does not match your meetings, or when you travel as a group. A common mix for visitors: take the train downtown for a weekday meeting, then book a car home from a late dinner. For arriving by rail from Montreal or Ottawa, our Union Station car service page covers pickups at the station.
Winter, rush hour and the 404
The 404 and the Don Valley Parkway carry most of the traffic between Markham, Richmond Hill and downtown, and both slow badly at peak times. On snow days, the stretch of the 401 through North York and the ramps to the 404 back up quickly. Our cars run winter tires from November to April, and our dispatchers watch Ontario 511 for closures and collisions.
On a storm day we build extra time into airport departures and message you if we recommend leaving earlier. For a critical flight after a heavy snowfall, it is better to spend an extra half-hour at the airport than to cut it fine on the 407 or the 401. The City of Markham site posts local road and snow-clearing updates.
Rooms, flights and the travel desk
If you still need a hotel, our travel desk works with BookingWorldwide.net for flights, hotels and packages, so a family visit or a sales trip can be planned in one place. It is especially useful when several people fly in from different cities for the same event and need rooms close together.
Book the car itself directly on TorontoBlackLimousine.com. There is no app to download and no marketplace commission: one reservation engine, one dispatch desk and a fixed fare you see before you confirm. For hotels closer to the airport, see our Pearson airport hotels page; for hotels on the other side of the 400, see North York and Vaughan hotels.
Changes, cancellations and delays
Flights change, and meetings run long. Message dispatch or update the booking with a new flight or pickup time and we adjust; tracked flights are handled automatically. Our cancellation policy is measured from the scheduled pickup: more than 72 hours before, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10 %; 48 hours or less, 50 %; 24 hours or less or a no-show, 100 %. Group bookings with several vehicles are confirmed in writing by a coordinator.
