TorontoBlackLimousine.com runs a Muskoka resorts car service from Toronto and Pearson to any resort in cottage country. Gravenhurst resorts are about 180 km and 115 to 140 minutes from downtown Toronto; Lake Rosseau and Lake Joseph resorts about 200 to 210 km; Huntsville about 215 km and 135 to 160 minutes. Book your Muskoka resort car and see the fixed fare first.
Muskoka resorts car service from Toronto: how the trip works
Muskoka is Toronto's lake country, two to three hours north on Highway 400 and Highway 11. The resorts are spread across Lake Muskoka, Lake Rosseau, Lake Joseph and the Huntsville lakes, and most of them sit on long private roads a good way from the highway. There is no train that gets you to a resort's front door, and the drive is long enough that many visitors would rather not do it after a flight or a working week.
A pre-booked car solves that. Enter your Toronto address or flight number, the resort, the date and time, your group and luggage, and the vehicle in the reservation engine. The fixed, all-in fare appears before you confirm. The chauffeur collects you and drives straight to the resort's main entrance, with a stop on the way if you want one.
Which Muskoka resorts do we drive to?
Any resort, inn or cottage with a street address in the District of Muskoka and beyond. On 30 September 2026 we checked the following on each resort's own official website, and name them only as addresses we drive to. TorontoBlackLimousine.com has no partnership with any resort; guests book us directly.
- Windermere House, on Lake Rosseau.
- Sherwood Inn, on Lake Joseph, on Sherwood Road in Port Carling.
- Taboo Muskoka, on Muskoka Beach Road in Gravenhurst, on Lake Muskoka.
- Deerhurst Resort, on Peninsula Lake in Huntsville.
Some of the region's large branded resorts are listed only on chain booking sites that block automated checks, so we do not name them. The booking works exactly the same for them: type the resort's address, and the chauffeur drives to its front entrance.

A summer Friday afternoon can add an hour or more between Toronto and Barrie. A snowstorm can add as much.
Highway 400 and Highway 11: the route north, and the Friday problem
Every trip to Muskoka from Toronto uses Highway 400 north past Vaughan and Barrie, then Highway 11 towards Gravenhurst, Bracebridge and Huntsville. For Lake Rosseau and Lake Joseph resorts, the chauffeur leaves Highway 11 or the 400 for regional roads through Port Carling or Bala. From Pearson, the car usually takes Highway 427 and the 407 or the 401 across to the 400.
The problem is timing. From May to October, half of Toronto heads north on Friday afternoon and comes back on Sunday afternoon. Leaving before noon on a Friday, or after 7 p.m., can save a lot of time. Our dispatchers watch Ontario 511 and suggest a pickup time that avoids the worst of it. On long weekends, book early; cars and chauffeurs are in high demand.
What the fare to a Muskoka resort includes
We do not publish price lists. The reservation engine shows the fixed, all-in fare before you confirm: the chauffeur, the vehicle, fuel, 407 ETR tolls if the route uses them, airport fees on Pearson pickups, and gratuity, with HST shown separately. A slow Friday on the 400 does not change the fare, because there is no meter.
What does change it: the vehicle class, the distance and time, extra stops, waiting beyond the included allowance, and the date and season. For a long trip like this, compare a one-way transfer with keeping the chauffeur; the hourly minimum is 3 hours for sedans, SUVs, vans and Sprinters, and a coordinator can confirm overnight arrangements in writing. See how our fares work for the details.
Pearson straight to a Muskoka resort
Flying into Toronto for a Muskoka holiday, you can go straight north from the airport. The chauffeur tracks your flight, meets you at the designated area for pre-arranged cars at Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 (see Toronto Pearson's transportation page), and heads for the 400. Included waiting is 30 minutes from actual landing on Canadian domestic and US flights and 60 minutes on other international arrivals.
Meet & greet inside arrivals with a name board is an optional add-on, often chosen by overseas guests heading to a resort wedding or a family reunion. After a long-haul flight, a two-hour drive in a quiet SUV with room to sleep is a much better start to a lake holiday than a rental car counter. Our Pearson airport limo page covers what the airport pickup includes.
One-way, return, or keep the chauffeur for the weekend?
Most resort guests book a one-way drive up and a separate return at the end of the stay. That is usually the simplest plan. Two other patterns work well, though. For a day trip, such as a lunch at a lakeside resort or a fall colours drive, book the hourly chauffeur service for the day: the car waits and brings you home.
For a longer stay where you want a car on hand, such as a corporate retreat with dinners at different resorts or a wedding weekend with several events, the chauffeur can stay over in Muskoka. A coordinator confirms accommodation and driver hours in writing. Chauffeurs take proper rest between long drives, which is safer for everyone and part of why a professional service beats an exhausted driver after a late Sunday check-out.
Hourly chauffeur in cottage country: dinners, golf and towns
Once you are at a resort, the car is useful for the things resorts do not bring to you: a dinner reservation at another lake, a round at a golf course down the road, a boat pickup at a marina, a trip into Bracebridge, Gravenhurst or Port Carling for shopping, or a drive to the Muskoka Wharf in Gravenhurst.
These are short trips on dark, winding roads that many visitors would rather not drive at night after a glass of wine. An hourly booking with our chauffeur covers several stops in one evening, with the car waiting nearby. The minimum is 3 hours, with extra time in 30-minute blocks. For as-directed service with no set plan, see our private chauffeur service.
Windermere House and Lake Rosseau
Windermere House sits on the shore of Lake Rosseau, one of the three big Muskoka lakes. Lake Rosseau is about 200 km from downtown Toronto, and the drive runs up the 400 and then along regional roads through Port Carling or Bala, depending on traffic and the exact address. Allow 2.25 to 2.75 hours on a clear day.
"Windermere House Muskoka" is one of the most searched resort names in the region, and it is a popular choice for weddings and family gatherings. For a wedding group, a Sprinter luxury van carries up to 12 guests from a Toronto hotel or from Pearson in one run. For couples, the business sedan or first-class sedan is the quiet option. The Township of Muskoka Lakes website has local information about the Lake Rosseau and Lake Joseph area.
Lake Joseph and Port Carling
Port Carling sits between Lake Muskoka and Lake Rosseau, with Lake Joseph just to the west, and it is often called the hub of the three lakes. The Sherwood Inn on Lake Joseph is one of the resorts we checked; it lists its address on Sherwood Road in Port Carling. Lake Joseph resorts and cottages are about 205 km from downtown Toronto.
Port Carling's locks and main street are busy in summer, and parking is tight. A chauffeur who drops you in town and collects you later solves that neatly. Many Lake Joseph cottages are reached only by long private lanes or by boat, so give the exact address and any marina or boat-launch details when you book, and the chauffeur will confirm the meeting point before the day.
Gravenhurst and Lake Muskoka
Gravenhurst, at the south end of Lake Muskoka, is the closest part of Muskoka to Toronto, about 180 km and 115 to 140 minutes from downtown. Taboo Muskoka, on Muskoka Beach Road, is one of the resorts we checked, and the town's Muskoka Wharf area on the lake is a popular place for dinners and boat tours. The Town of Gravenhurst site covers local events.
Gravenhurst is also where many Toronto visitors start a Muskoka trip, because it is the first real lake town on Highway 11. For a Friday evening arrival, leaving Toronto by early afternoon usually gets you to the resort in time for dinner. For an easy weekend, book the drive up and the drive home on one reservation and let the chauffeur handle the luggage and golf clubs.
Huntsville and Deerhurst Resort
Huntsville is further north, about 215 km and 135 to 160 minutes from downtown Toronto via Highway 11. Deerhurst Resort sits on Peninsula Lake just outside the town, and it is one of the best-known resort names in the region. The Town of Huntsville site covers the town itself.
From Huntsville, Algonquin Park's West Gate is about 45 minutes further east on Highway 60, so a Huntsville resort stay pairs well with a day of hiking or fall colours in the park. With an hourly chauffeur, you can spend the day in Algonquin without worrying about parking or driving back in the dark. Our Huntsville car service page covers the route and local trips in detail.
Flying in: Muskoka Airport (YQA) and private aviation
Some guests fly into Muskoka rather than Toronto. The Muskoka Airport near Gravenhurst handles private and general aviation aircraft, and a chauffeur can meet you there and take you to a resort a short drive away. Our Muskoka Airport (YQA) page covers the airport, and our Muskoka private aviation page covers private jet arrivals, with ramp access only where the operator permits.
For guests arriving at Pearson on a private jet, the car can meet you at the business aviation side of the airport and drive straight north. Check the airport's own information on the District of Muskoka site for current operations before you travel.
Corporate retreats and resort weddings
Muskoka resorts host a steady stream of corporate retreats, leadership offsites and weddings, and each one involves moving a group of people 200 km from the city. A coach from a partner operator can carry a whole company from a downtown Toronto office to the resort. A Sprinter luxury van for 12 or an executive Sprinter for 7 suits smaller teams and wedding parties.
For executives who need to leave early or arrive late, a sedan or SUV with its own schedule is simpler than holding the group. Weddings, coaches and multi-vehicle bookings are priced in writing by a coordinator, so the whole plan sits on one confirmation. Our corporate car service page covers company accounts and invoicing.
Which vehicle suits a Muskoka resort trip?
Muskoka luggage is bigger than city luggage: golf bags, coolers, strollers and boots. For two travellers with light bags, a business sedan or the first-class sedan works. For most families, the SUV or the premier luxury SUV is the right choice, with six seats and room for four large bags, and the traction you want in winter.
Seven people, or a family with a lot of gear, take the executive Sprinter. Up to 12 fit the Sprinter luxury van. Tell us about golf bags, skis or unusual items in the booking notes so the vehicle has room. Infant, convertible and booster seats are available at booking. We have a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, available when booked in advance; for passengers who can transfer to a seat, the chauffeur stows a wheelchair or walker.
Seasons in Muskoka: summer, fall colours and winter
Summer is peak season, with full resorts and heavy weekend traffic on the 400. Fall colours, usually from late September into October, bring a second rush, and the drive itself is part of the attraction. Discover Muskoka, the regional tourism site, posts seasonal updates.
Winter is quieter but needs more planning. Snow squalls off Georgian Bay can close stretches of the 400 and Highway 11 with little warning, and resort roads may be slow to clear. Our cars run winter tires from November to April, and we check the Environment Canada forecast before long trips north. If conditions are poor, dispatch will suggest moving the pickup rather than risk the road.
Rooms, flights and the travel desk
If you have not booked the resort or the flight yet, our travel desk works with BookingWorldwide.net for flights, hotels and packages. That helps when a family flies in from overseas for a resort wedding, or a company books a retreat with guests from several cities.
Book the car itself directly on TorontoBlackLimousine.com: one reservation engine, one dispatch desk, and a fixed fare you see before you confirm, with no marketplace commission. For a guide to the region itself, see Muskoka and cottage country and our Toronto to Muskoka route page.
Changes, cancellations and delays
Long trips change more often than short ones. Update the booking or message dispatch with new times, and we adjust. Our cancellation policy is measured from the scheduled pickup: more than 72 hours before, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10 %; 48 hours or less, 50 %; 24 hours or less or a no-show, 100 %. Weddings, coaches and multi-vehicle retreats are confirmed in writing by a coordinator.
