A Union Station to Pearson car service with TorontoBlackLimousine.com covers about 27 km and usually takes 25–45 minutes via the Gardiner Expressway and Highway 427. We track your VIA, GO or UP Express train, meet you curbside near 65 Front Street West, include 15 minutes of waiting from actual arrival, and show the fixed all-in fare before you book your Union Station pickup.
How does a Union Station to Pearson car service work?
You book online, tell us the train you are arriving on (or the time you want to leave for the airport), and our dispatch desk assigns a chauffeur and a specific curb. On arrival days we watch the train's live status rather than the printed timetable, so if your VIA train from Montreal is forty minutes late, your chauffeur is forty minutes later too, at no extra charge. On departure days we time the pickup around your flight: the terminal, whether you are checking bags, and the traffic we expect on the Gardiner. The chauffeur loads your luggage, drives you the 27 km to Toronto Pearson, and drops you at the departures curb of Terminal 1 or Terminal 3. That is the whole product: one car, one professional chauffeur, one fixed fare with no meter running while the 427 crawls. You can book the Union Station to Pearson transfer here in a couple of minutes.
Where is the Union Station pickup point?
Union Station's official address is 65 Front Street West, and the station's own site lists it as the hub for the TTC, GO Transit, VIA Rail and UP Express. It is a large complex that takes up a full city block between Bay and York Streets, joined to the PATH and to the Union Station Bus Terminal. Because construction, event closures and police direction change which curbs are usable from week to week, we do not promise a door number in advance. Instead, your chauffeur texts the exact meeting point about fifteen minutes before your train arrives, usually on Front Street or on a nearby side street where stopping is permitted. If you prefer not to find the car yourself, add meet and greet at booking: the chauffeur parks, comes inside with a name board and walks you out. The station's own pages at torontounion.ca are the best place to check opening hours and concourse maps.

Is a car better than the UP Express from Union to Pearson?
Sometimes it is not, and we would rather say so. The UP Express runs from Union Station to Pearson's Terminal 1, and its own site describes the trip as 28 minutes. If you are one person with a carry-on, flying from Terminal 1, and leaving during the day, the train is hard to beat. A car wins when you are two or more people sharing, travelling with children and car seats, carrying ski bags or several suitcases, flying from Terminal 3, starting at a hotel or office rather than at Union itself, or leaving at an hour when you would rather not wait on a platform. Our UP Express vs limo guide walks through the trade-offs honestly, and the UP Express and Pearson station page covers the airport end.
Transportation from Toronto airport to Union Station
The reverse trip is just as common: you land at Pearson and need to reach Union to catch a VIA train to Ottawa, a GO train home, or simply to check in at a Financial District hotel. For transportation from Toronto airport to Union Station we track your flight, include 30 minutes of waiting for Canadian domestic and US arrivals and 60 minutes for other international arrivals from actual landing, and meet you at Pearson's designated pre-arranged pickup area on the arrivals curb (Pearson's own pre-arranged services page explains how that area works). Meet and greet inside the terminal with a name board is an optional add-on at booking. If you have a tight rail connection, tell us the train time: dispatch will warn you if the connection looks too tight and suggest a plan B.
Union Station taxi or a pre-booked black car?
A Union Station taxi from the stand is fine when you have no plan and no bags to speak of. The differences with a pre-booked black car are practical ones. Our fare is fixed before you travel, including fuel, any 407 ETR tolls, airport fees and gratuity, with HST shown separately, so a stalled Gardiner does not change what you pay. The car is waiting for you rather than you queueing for it, which matters at 11 p.m. when three VIA trains arrive at once. The vehicle is chosen for your group and luggage instead of whatever is next in line. And you deal with one dispatch desk that already knows your train number. See how our fares work for exactly what the fixed fare includes and what changes it.
Union Station limo options: which vehicle should you book?
Most Union Station pickups are a business sedan for one or two passengers with up to two suitcases. Four or five people with luggage need an executive SUV such as a Navigator or Escalade, or a Yukon XL or Suburban class SUV. Wedding parties, sports teams and conference groups arriving by VIA fit a Sprinter or a luxury van. If you are after a true Union Station limo for an occasion, a stretch limousine comes from a vetted partner operator in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network, with a four-hour minimum; we say so plainly at booking. For quiet executive arrivals, a first-class sedan (Mercedes-Benz S-Class or equivalent) is the usual choice.

Car service Union Station Toronto: what does the fare include?
A car service at Union Station Toronto booked with us has one fixed, all-in fare shown in the reservation engine before you confirm. It covers the chauffeur, the vehicle, fuel, 407 ETR tolls if the route uses the toll highway, airport fees where they apply and gratuity. HST is shown separately. There is no surge and no meter. What changes the fare is the vehicle class, the distance and time, extra stops, waiting beyond the included 15 minutes at a station pickup (then charged in 15-minute blocks), the date and season, and any add-ons such as meet and greet or child seats (infant, convertible and booster seats are available at booking). The fastest way to see the exact figure is to enter your train, destination and vehicle at /book/.
Can I keep the chauffeur by the hour from Union Station?
Yes, and for many travellers this is the smarter booking. Our lead product is the hourly chauffeur service: one car and one chauffeur kept for a three-hour minimum or a full day, with extra time in 30-minute blocks. From Union Station that might mean a morning VIA arrival from Ottawa, a meeting on Bay Street, lunch in Yorkville, a site visit in Vaughan and a 6 p.m. flight from Pearson, all in one car with your luggage staying in the trunk. It also suits roadshows, medical appointments, a day at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre next door, or a night out when you do not know when you will want to leave. If you would have booked three or more one-way rides, compare the hourly option first; our guide to hourly vs point-to-point sets out when each wins.
How much time should I allow from Union Station to Pearson?
For a domestic flight we suggest leaving Union about two and a half hours before departure at rush hour and a little over two hours at quieter times; for US and international flights add another half hour to hour. The drive itself is 25–45 minutes in normal traffic, but weekday mornings westbound on the Gardiner, Friday afternoons, snowstorms and Blue Jays or Leafs game nights can stretch it. Check the airline's own check-in cut-off and Pearson's advice at torontopearson.com. Your chauffeur checks live traffic on Ontario 511 and will choose between the Gardiner and 427 or the 401 and 427 on the day. If you are unsure, book earlier: the pickup time can be changed in the reservation engine without penalty up until the cancellation windows below.
Which routes do chauffeurs take between Union and Pearson?
The default route is west along the Gardiner Expressway to Highway 427 north, then the airport ramps to Terminal 1 or Terminal 3. When the Gardiner is closed for construction or an event, the chauffeur uses Lake Shore Boulevard to the 427, or heads north to Highway 401 and west to the 427. The 407 ETR is rarely useful for this particular trip but is included in the fixed fare if it helps. On weekend closures of the Gardiner (usually announced by the City of Toronto well ahead) we build extra time into your pickup automatically. None of these choices changes your fare: the price is fixed at booking, and routing is the chauffeur's job, not a line item.
Union Station pickup for VIA Rail arrivals
VIA trains reach Union from Montreal, Ottawa, Kingston, London, Windsor, Sarnia and beyond, and the Maple Leaf connects Toronto with New York in partnership with Amtrak. VIA arrivals often come with larger suitcases, so a Union Station pickup for VIA passengers is booked with enough trunk space and, if you have checked baggage, extra time for the bags. If you are arriving on the Maple Leaf from the United States, border formalities are handled on the train or at the border rather than at Union, but the train can still run late, and we track it. Current VIA schedules and station services are on viarail.ca.
Union Station pickup for GO Transit and UP Express riders
GO trains on the Lakeshore West, Lakeshore East, Milton, Kitchener, Barrie, Richmond Hill and Stouffville lines all terminate at Union, along with GO buses at the Union Station Bus Terminal. Most GO riders do not need a car, but some do: a late train that misses the last connecting bus, a hospital appointment, a family visit with luggage, or a meeting where arriving composed matters. Give us the GO trip and scheduled arrival and we follow it live. Timetables are on gotransit.com. UP Express riders coming in from the airport who then need to reach Forest Hill, Rosedale or the Bridle Path with bags can also be met at Union for the last leg.
What happens if my train is late or I cannot find the car?
Station pickups include 15 minutes of waiting from the train's actual arrival time, then waiting is added in 15-minute blocks and you are messaged before any extra time begins. Because we track the train, delays before arrival do not count against you. If you walk out and cannot see the car, reply to the chauffeur's text or call the number in your confirmation; dispatch can see where both of you are and will guide you. Union Station is busy, loud and has several exits, so we always recommend that you read the chauffeur's meeting-point text before you leave the platform.
Accessibility, luggage and children at Union Station
We have a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, available when booked in advance. For passengers who can transfer to a seat, the chauffeur folds and stows a wheelchair or walker and meet and greet brings them inside to help. Tell us about the wheelchair or scooter at booking so that vehicle is reserved. Child seats (infant, convertible and booster) are available at booking; list the children's ages and we fit the seats before the chauffeur leaves. For heavy luggage, oversized bags or equipment cases, say so at booking so we send a vehicle with enough room rather than a sedan.
Union Station hotels, venues and onward connections
Many Union Station pickups are really hotel runs: the Financial District towers, the waterfront hotels and the convention hotels around Front Street. Our Financial District and Union Station hotels page lists the neighbourhood and distances. If your plans include flights or a hotel stay elsewhere, our travel desk can arrange them alongside your ground transfers, so the car and the booking line up. From Union we also run the longer trips people take after a train: downtown Toronto to Pearson, to Niagara, to cottage country and across the border.
Cancellation and changes
Plans made around trains change, so here is the policy in full. Cancel more than 72 hours before pickup and there is no charge. At 72 hours or less the charge is 10 % of the fare; at 48 hours or less it is 50 %; at 24 hours or less, or a no-show, it is 100 %. Times are measured from the scheduled pickup. Changing the pickup time to follow a rebooked train is not a cancellation: update the booking or message dispatch and we will move the car.
