Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, the former Woodbine casino at 1133 Queens Plate Drive in north Etobicoke, is about 30 km from downtown Toronto (25 to 40 minutes) and about 8 km from Pearson (10 to 15 minutes). TorontoBlackLimousine.com drives you there by black car, SUV or Sprinter and waits on an hourly booking. Book your Woodbine casino car. Guests must be 19+.
How do you get to Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto by limo or black car?
The simplest way to reach Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto without driving is a pre-booked black car or limo: one vehicle, one chauffeur, pickup at your door and the same car waiting when you want to leave. From the Financial District the route is usually the Gardiner Expressway west to Highway 427 north, then Highway 409 or Rexdale Boulevard toward Woodbine; from midtown and North York the chauffeur often takes the 401 west to the 427. Either way you are setting down at the resort in roughly half an hour outside rush hour.
You book it yourself on TorontoBlackLimousine.com: choose one-way, round trip or hourly, enter your address and the casino, pick a vehicle and see the fixed fare before you confirm. No app, no marketplace, one dispatch desk. We are the transport only; we have no affiliation with the casino or its operator.
Is it still called Woodbine casino?
Many people still search for "Woodbine casino" or "casino Woodbine", and our chauffeurs know it by both names. The property beside Woodbine Racetrack now trades as Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, and its official page on the Great Canadian Entertainment site lists the address as 1133 Queens Plate Drive, Toronto. When you book, typing either "Woodbine" or "Great Canadian Toronto" in the notes is fine; dispatch will route to the resort entrance rather than the racetrack grandstand, which matters on race days when both draw crowds.
The resort and the racetrack share the Woodbine lands in Rexdale, but they have different entrances and traffic patterns. If you are going to the races as well as the casino, tell us which one first, and the chauffeur will plan the move between them.
How far is the casino from downtown Toronto, Pearson and the GTA suburbs?
These are planning figures from our dispatch notes, measured from the Union Station area, Pearson's terminals and the centre of each suburb. The reservation engine works out the exact route and fixed fare for your address, date and vehicle.
| From | Distance | Typical drive time |
|---|---|---|
| Downtown Toronto (Union Station area) | about 30 km | 25–40 min |
| Toronto Pearson (YYZ), Terminals 1 and 3 | about 8 km | 10–15 min |
| Yorkville and midtown | about 30 km | 30–40 min |
| North York | about 20 km | 20–30 min |
| Mississauga (City Centre) | about 20 km | 20–30 min |
| Brampton | about 20 km | 20–30 min |
| Vaughan | about 20 km | 20–30 min |
| Oakville | about 40 km | 30–40 min |
| Richmond Hill | about 35 km | 30–40 min |
| Markham | about 45 km | 35–50 min |
| Scarborough | about 45 km | 35–50 min |
Weekday evenings between 4 and 7 p.m. are the slow window: the 401 westbound and the 427 northbound both back up, so a 6 p.m. dinner reservation from downtown needs a 5 p.m. pickup. Late at night, the drive home is often 20 to 25 minutes.
Why book an hourly chauffeur for a night at Woodbine?
Because the hard part of a casino evening is not getting there; it is getting home. With an hourly chauffeur in Toronto, the car and chauffeur stay for the whole evening, from a three-hour minimum, and you leave when your group is ready rather than when a ride-hail finally accepts. Extra time is added in 30-minute blocks.
The resort is close enough that three or four hours covers a typical dinner-and-a-few-hours evening from downtown. A concert night with dinner before it runs to five. A one-way drop makes sense only if you are staying in the resort's hotel or someone else is collecting you; for everything else, hourly keeps the evening simple and nobody has to be the designated driver.
What is the drive from Pearson to Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto like?
It is one of the shortest airport runs we do. From Terminal 1 or Terminal 3, the chauffeur takes Highway 427 north and the 409 or local roads into the Woodbine lands, typically 10 to 15 minutes. That makes the resort practical for a stopover: land in the afternoon, check into a hotel, have dinner and a show, and fly out the next day.
The chauffeur tracks your flight and meets you at Pearson's designated pre-arranged pickup area on the arrivals curb; Pearson explains how that works on its ground transportation page. Meet and greet inside arrivals with a name board is an optional add-on at booking. Included waiting is 30 minutes for Canadian domestic and US flights and 60 minutes for other international arrivals, from actual landing. Our Pearson airport limo page covers terminal details.

Where does the chauffeur drop off and pick up at the resort?
We set you down at the resort's main entrance and collect you from the same area unless you agree on another spot. The resort has a large enclosed parking garage and, according to its own site, a valet service; neither is part of your booking and your chauffeur does not need them. Event nights change the traffic flow around the entrances, so the chauffeur texts the exact pickup point when the car is in position rather than promising a particular door in advance.
Two habits make the end of the night smooth: agree on one phone number for the group, and message the chauffeur about ten minutes before you walk out. On a concert night, when thousands leave at once, consider waiting fifteen minutes inside; the queue at the exits clears faster than you think and your car is already there.
What shows and concerts are at the resort's theatre?
The resort's entertainment venue is called The Theatre, and the official site describes it as seating more than 4,000 for concerts and live theatre and around 1,500 for galas. It books touring musicians, comedians and special events through the year. We do not list dates here because line-ups change; check the resort's own page for the current calendar and tell dispatch your show time when you book.
Concert nights are where hourly service earns its keep. Book the pickup so you arrive 60 to 75 minutes before the doors, have dinner at the resort, and leave the car parked with the chauffeur. When the show ends you skip the garage exit queue entirely. For larger venue nights in the city, our concert and game day limo page covers Scotiabank Arena and RBC Amphitheatre (formerly Budweiser Stage) too.
Dinner, show and casino: what does a typical evening plan look like?
Here is how a four-to-five-hour booking from a downtown condo usually runs:
- 17:30 Pickup downtown; Gardiner west to the 427 (about 30 km).
- 18:10 Drop at the main entrance; dinner at one of the resort's restaurants.
- 19:45 Doors open at The Theatre; show at 20:00.
- 22:15 Show ends; your group decides whether to stay a little longer.
- 22:45 Text the chauffeur; the car is at the entrance a few minutes later.
- 23:15 Home, with no taxi line and no parking ticket to find.
On a quieter evening without a show, three hours is plenty: dinner, a walk through the resort, and home.
Which vehicle should you book for Woodbine?
- Two guests: a business sedan or, for an anniversary or a client dinner, a first-class sedan.
- Three to six: an SUV or premier luxury SUV, with room for coats in winter.
- Seven to twelve: an Executive Sprinter or Sprinter luxury van, the usual choice for birthday groups and staff nights.
- Up to 18: a stretch limousine from our partner network, four-hour minimum.
- 20 to 55: a party bus or coach from vetted partner operators, priced in writing by a coordinator.
Stretches, party buses and coaches come from vetted operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network; we say so at booking. Our own fleet covers sedans, SUVs and Sprinters.
Is the 19+ rule enforced at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto?
Yes. In Ontario you must be 19 or older to enter a gaming floor, and the resort's own site notes that most of its dining venues are also 19+, with only some open to all ages. Bring valid government photo ID for every guest. If your group includes someone younger, check the resort's site for which venues they may use before you leave; a young passenger can ride in the car but cannot join you on the floor.
Our chauffeurs do not take minors to gaming areas, do not hold cash or chips for guests and do not promote gaming. Casino gaming in Ontario is conducted and managed by the OLG and regulated by the AGCO. If gambling stops being fun for anyone in your party, PlaySmart has information and support.
Can you stay at the resort hotel and still use a chauffeur?
Yes. Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto has its own hotel on site, which suits concert nights and stopovers. In that case book one-way: a drop at the resort, then a separate pickup the next morning for Pearson, a downtown meeting or the drive home. If you have a day of meetings in the airport district, book an hourly block starting at the hotel lobby.
Other options around the airport strip and Etobicoke are covered on our Pearson airport hotels and Airport Corporate Centre hotels pages. Our travel desk can reserve the room, flights or a package for out-of-town guests, so the hotel, the show and the car sit on one plan.
Is there a shuttle or casino bus to Woodbine?
We do not run a casino bus, and the resort's own page does not describe a shuttle program as of today; public transit serves the Rexdale area, and you can plan a TTC trip on the TTC site. For a solo visitor on a tight budget, that may be enough. A private car is the better fit when you are a couple or a group, when there is a dinner reservation, when it is late, or when it is snowing.
For groups, a Sprinter is effectively a private casino bus: one pickup address, one departure time you choose, and everyone home together. Our casino limo service page compares group options across all the casinos we serve.
Corporate events and client dinners at the resort
The Theatre's gala configuration and the resort's restaurants make it a venue for company events, award nights and client entertainment close to the airport. For those evenings we run Sprinters from downtown offices and airport hotels, or a set of SUVs for executives, with a named host on the booking who can approve extra time.
A good corporate plan has a firm office departure time, an agreed latest return, and one invoice. Our corporate car service handles accounts, and the VIP event transportation page covers multi-vehicle staging.
Race day, holidays and other busy nights
Woodbine Racetrack and the resort share the area, so big race days and holiday long weekends bring heavier traffic on Rexdale Boulevard and the 427. Saturday nights with a headline concert are the busiest of all. On those dates, add 15 to 20 minutes to the outbound drive and agree on a pickup time that avoids the minute the show lets out.
In winter, the 427 and 409 are usually well cleared, but freezing rain on the airport plateau can slow everything. Our cars run winter tires from November to April and dispatch checks Ontario 511 before late returns. Overnight closures on the Gardiner are common in summer; the chauffeur reroutes via the 401 and the DVP when needed.
Combining the casino with other Toronto plans
Because it sits between the airport and the city, the resort fits into bigger days. Business travellers combine an airport-area meeting, dinner at the resort and the flight home. Families visiting from out of town pair a day at Canada's Wonderland in Vaughan, about 20 km away, with an adults' evening after the children are back at the hotel. Groups heading east sometimes visit Pickering Casino Resort on another night; the two are about 60 km apart along the 401.
If you want the bigger resort experience, the Fallsview casino page and the Casino Rama page cover the longer runs. Our casinos near Toronto overview compares all of them.

What does the fare include, and how do you book direct?
The reservation engine shows a fixed, all-in fare before you confirm: vehicle, chauffeur, fuel, 407 ETR tolls if used, airport fees where relevant and gratuity, with HST shown separately. No meter, no surge. What changes it: the vehicle class, the number of hours, the distance from your pickup, the date and time, waiting and extra stops. We publish no prices; how our fares work explains the details, and the engine gives the exact figure in seconds.
To book, open our reservation engine, choose hourly or one-way, enter the pickup address and "Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto", add your guest count, show time and latest return in the notes, and confirm. Cancellation is measured from scheduled pickup: more than 72 hours before, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10 %; 48 hours or less, 50 %; 24 hours or less or a no-show, 100 %.
