A Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto car service connects the Woodbine resort at 1133 Queens Plate Drive with Pearson (YYZ), about 8 km and 10 to 15 minutes away, and the airport hotel strip, 5 to 10 km away. Travellers book it for a stopover dinner, a show before a morning flight or a client evening near the airport. Guests must be 19+.
Why book a Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto car service from the airport side?
Because the resort, the former Woodbine casino, is the closest major entertainment venue to Toronto Pearson. For most Torontonians it is a 30 km trip from downtown, covered on our Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto limo page. For travellers it is different: it is a 10- to 15-minute ride from the terminals and a short hop from the hotels along Dixon Road and in the Airport Corporate Centre. That makes it a realistic evening for anyone with one night in Toronto, a long stopover or a morning flight. This post is written for those travellers: timings from the airport, the airport hotels, layover rules, business use and the honest alternatives.
How far is the resort from Pearson and the airport district?
These are planning figures; the reservation engine quotes the exact fixed fare for your address, date and vehicle.
| From | To the resort at Woodbine | Typical drive |
|---|---|---|
| Pearson (YYZ) Terminal 1 or 3 | about 8 km | 10 to 15 min |
| Dixon Road airport hotels | about 6 km | 8 to 12 min |
| Airport Corporate Centre, Mississauga | about 12 km | 15 to 20 min |
| International Centre, Mississauga | about 12 km | 15 to 20 min |
| Toronto Congress Centre, Dixon Road | about 6 km | 8 to 12 min |
| Downtown Toronto (Union Station) | about 30 km | 25 to 40 min |
| Canada's Wonderland, Vaughan | about 25 km | 20 to 30 min |
The airport district's busiest roads are Highway 427 and the 401 at rush hour, from about 3:30 to 6:30 pm on weekdays. Outside those hours, the drive from the terminal to the resort is one of the shortest rides we do.
Can you visit the resort during a layover?
Only if you are allowed to leave the airport and have plenty of time. Passengers connecting between two international flights who are not admitted to Canada cannot leave the secure area. If you are entitled to enter Canada and your connection is long, for example an overnight stopover, the resort is close enough for dinner or a show. Plan for customs on arrival, which can take up to an hour on busy afternoons, and be back at the terminal with your airline's recommended check-in time to spare. Check your entry requirements with the CBSA and your airline before planning. For connections under about six hours, we suggest a meal at the airport instead.
What does an overnight stopover plan look like?
A real-world plan for a business traveller landing at 4:00 pm with a 9:30 am flight the next morning:
- 4:00 pm Landing at Terminal 1. The chauffeur tracks the flight.
- 4:40 pm Out through customs; meet at the pre-arranged pickup area on the arrivals level, as Pearson explains.
- 4:55 pm Check in at a Dixon Road hotel, about 3 km from the terminal.
- 6:30 pm Pickup at the hotel; 10 minutes to the resort for dinner and a show at The Theatre.
- 10:45 pm Back at the hotel.
- 7:15 am Short morning transfer to the departures curb.
Book it as three pieces: the airport pickup, an evening hourly block and the morning drop. Our Pearson airport hotels page lists the hotel areas.

Is it better to stay at the resort hotel or an airport hotel?
Both work. The resort has its own hotel on site, which suits a concert night or a celebration: you walk from dinner to the show to your room. A one-way transfer from Pearson and a morning drop back to the terminal is all you need. An airport hotel on Dixon Road or in the Airport Corporate Centre suits business travellers who have meetings nearby, loyalty points to use or an early flight; the evening becomes a short hourly booking. Check the resort's official page for its hotel and current services. Our Airport Corporate Centre hotels page covers the Mississauga side of the airport.
How does an hourly chauffeur work for a short evening?
You book one car and one chauffeur by the hour, with a 3-hour minimum for a sedan, SUV or Sprinter and extra time in 30-minute blocks. From an airport hotel, three hours covers dinner at the resort and the ride back. A show night is usually four to five hours. The chauffeur waits nearby, so you leave when you are ready, not when a ride-hail accepts. Our hourly chauffeur service page explains the details. For a single ride with no waiting, for example to the resort hotel, a one-way booking is simpler.
Is the resort good for a client dinner near the airport?
Yes, and that is one of its main uses for business visitors. A sales team in town for a trade show at the International Centre or the Toronto Congress Centre can host clients at the resort's restaurants or a show without crossing the city. A Sprinter collects the group at the venue or hotel at a fixed time and returns them afterwards, with one named host who can approve extra time. Our corporate car service handles accounts with one invoice, and our trade show transportation page covers shuttles between hotels and exhibition halls.
Which vehicle suits an airport-side evening?
For one or two travellers, a business sedan or the electric Tesla Model Y is quick and quiet. For a client dinner, the first-class sedan or the premier luxury SUV makes the arrival feel right. Seven to twelve travel in the executive Sprinter or Sprinter luxury van, which is the usual pick for a team night. If you have luggage because you came straight from the airport, mention it at booking so we send a vehicle with room. Alcohol is not allowed in any of our vehicles; have your drinks at the resort.
What should you know about the 19+ rule and ID?
The minimum age for casino gaming in Ontario is 19, and the resort checks valid government-issued photo ID. International visitors should bring their passport, since a foreign driver's licence may not be accepted everywhere on site; check with the resort. The resort's own site notes that several of its restaurants are also 19+. Gaming in Ontario is conducted and managed by the OLG and regulated by the AGCO. Our chauffeurs provide transport only, with no gaming advice or promotions. If gambling stops being fun, PlaySmart offers free information and support.
What are the honest alternatives from Pearson?
A taxi from the airport taxi stand is a simple way to make the 8 km trip one way, and ride-hail works from the designated pickup zones. Public transit reaches the Rexdale area, though it is not a quick ride with luggage. If you are staying at the resort and only need to get there, any of these may be enough. A pre-booked chauffeur is better when the flight could be late (we track it), when you want the car to wait through dinner and take you back to an airport hotel, when you are hosting clients, or when the evening ends late and you do not want to wait outside. Our Uber pickup at Pearson post explains the ride-hail zones.
What happens if your flight is delayed?
The chauffeur tracks every flight and adjusts the pickup. Included waiting is 30 minutes from actual landing for Canadian domestic and US flights and 60 minutes for other international arrivals; after that, waiting is charged in 15-minute blocks. If a long delay means you miss your dinner reservation or show, message dispatch and we will move the evening booking. Cancellation rules are measured from the scheduled pickup, so change the time as soon as you know rather than cancelling at the last minute.

Can you go from the resort straight to a late or early flight?
Yes, and the short distance makes it practical. For a red-eye departure after midnight, an evening hourly booking can end at the departures curb instead of a hotel: dinner and a show, then 10 to 15 minutes to the terminal with your bags already in the car. Allow your airline's full recommended check-in time; late-night security lines are shorter, but international check-in counters can close earlier than you expect. For a first flight of the morning, staying at the resort or an airport hotel and taking a 6 am transfer is simpler than staying up all night. Put the terminal and flight number in the booking notes either way.
Is the trip accessible for a guest who uses a wheelchair?
It can be. For a guest who can transfer to a seat, the chauffeur folds and stows a wheelchair or walker in the back of the vehicle. For a guest who needs to travel seated in the wheelchair, we have a wheelchair-accessible vehicle that must be booked in advance; tell us about the wheelchair or scooter at booking so we can confirm it. The resort's main entrance is the natural set-down point, and its own site describes the services available inside. At Pearson, airlines arrange wheelchair assistance inside the terminal when you request it before travel.
What mistakes do travellers make?
- Planning a casino visit on a short connection. Customs and security take longer than the drive.
- Forgetting the passport as ID. International visitors should carry it into the resort.
- Booking one-way and then waiting for a taxi at 11 pm. Hourly keeps the car close.
- Leaving late for a morning flight. The drive is short, but airport lines are not.
- Not mentioning luggage. A sedan with two people and four suitcases does not work.
What does the fare include, and how do you book direct?
The reservation engine shows the fixed, all-in fare before you confirm: chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, 407 ETR tolls on the planned route, airport fees where relevant and gratuity, with HST shown separately. No meter and no surge. What changes it is the vehicle class, one-way or hourly, the hours booked and the date. To book, open our reservation engine, enter Pearson with your flight number or your hotel, the resort and any show time. Our travel desk can book the hotel and flights. Cancellation: free more than 72 hours ahead, 10 % within 72 hours, 50 % within 48 hours and 100 % within 24 hours or for a no-show.
