How do I book Beanfield Centre car service in Toronto (now the Automotive Building)?
Book Beanfield Centre car service in our reservation engine with "Automotive Building, 105 Princes' Boulevard, Exhibition Place" as the address, the time your event begins, and the vehicle you want. The engine shows the fixed, all-in fare before you confirm, including the chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, any 407 ETR tolls, airport fees and gratuity, with HST shown separately. No meter, no surge after the gala ends.
Most Beanfield Centre bookings are evenings: a gala, an awards night, a wedding reception or a congress dinner. Those nights rarely end at a fixed time, so we usually recommend the hourly chauffeur service, where the car waits on or near the grounds and leaves when you do.
Is the Automotive Building the old Beanfield Centre and Allstream Centre?
Yes: the Automotive Building, the Beanfield Centre and the Allstream Centre are one building. The building opened in 1929 as the Automotive Building, an Art Deco exhibition hall at Exhibition Place, and after its conversion into a conference centre it carried a sponsor's name: the Allstream Centre from 2009, then the Beanfield Centre from March 2017. Exhibition Place's own venue page now lists it as the Automotive Building, and the old Beanfield Centre website redirects to Exhibition Place.
For a booking, the name does not matter; the address does. Use 105 Princes' Boulevard, and copy the venue name exactly as it appears on your invitation or registration into the booking notes, so the chauffeur and any guests see the same wording. Searches for Allstream Centre parking or Beanfield Centre parking lead to the same grounds and the same Exhibition Place parking, so the advice here applies whichever name your invitation uses.
What is the Beanfield Centre like as a venue?
According to Exhibition Place, the building offers about 160,000 square feet of conference space, including what it calls Toronto's largest ballroom at 43,900 square feet, divisible in two, with a 30-foot ceiling and views over Lake Ontario. It was Canada's first LEED Silver conference centre and connects to the Enercare Centre, which provides about a million square feet of exhibition space next door.
That combination is why the building is popular for association congresses that pair an exhibition in the Enercare halls with plenary sessions and banquets in the ballroom, and for large galas, cultural celebrations and weddings that need one room for many hundreds of guests.
How far is the Beanfield Centre from downtown and Pearson?
The Beanfield Centre is about 5 km from Union Station and the Financial District, usually 10 to 20 minutes along Lake Shore Boulevard or King Street West. From Toronto Pearson it is about 24 km, typically 25 to 40 minutes via Highway 427 and the Gardiner Expressway, and up to an hour at rush hour. These are our planning figures:
| From | To the Beanfield Centre | Typical drive time |
|---|---|---|
| Union Station / Financial District | about 5 km | 10–20 min |
| Toronto Pearson (YYZ) | about 24 km | 25–40 min |
| Billy Bishop (YTZ), Eireann Quay | about 3 km | 5–15 min |
| Yorkville & Midtown | about 8 km | 15–25 min |
| King West & Liberty Village | 1–3 km | 5–10 min |
| Etobicoke | about 15 km | 15–30 min |
| Mississauga City Centre | about 27 km | 25–40 min |
| Markham | about 35 km | 35–50 min |
Where do cars drop off at the Beanfield Centre?
Exhibition Place does not publish a dedicated limousine bay for the building, so we drop at the main entrance of the Automotive Building on Princes' Boulevard unless your event organiser gives a different arrival point. On gala nights, organisers sometimes set an arrival sequence and a holding area for vehicles; we follow it and grounds staff on the day.
The building's loading bays on the west side are for catering and production trucks, not guests. If you are arriving in formalwear, ask your organiser whether there is a covered entrance in use that night; we will work to it. For pickups, the chauffeur messages you the car's location, and on big nights that may be a short walk to a quieter road on the grounds.
How do galas and awards nights work at the Beanfield Centre?
Galas at the Beanfield Centre follow a pattern: a concentrated arrival in a 45-minute window, a long dinner and programme, then a staggered departure from about 10 p.m. Guests in formalwear, often in heels and winter coats, want a short walk and a warm car. We plan the arrival as timed waves from the main hotels and the return as a call-forward system, with the next vehicle staged nearby as each one leaves.
For hosts, sponsors and honorees we send first-class sedans or premier luxury SUVs by the hour so they are never waiting. Our corporate events and galas page and VIP event transportation page cover arrivals, security coordination and the photo-call timing.
Can I book wedding transport to the Beanfield Centre?
Yes. The ballroom's size and lake views make the Beanfield Centre a choice for large weddings and cultural celebrations. We drive the couple, families and wedding party in sedans, SUVs and Sprinters from our own fleet, and arrange stretch limousines, Rolls-Royce or Maybach cars on request through vetted partner operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network, naming them at booking.
Guest shuttles from hotels downtown or near Pearson work like a gala: a timed outbound wave and a flexible late-night return. Wedding and multi-vehicle plans can be priced in writing by a coordinator. Our wedding limo page covers the couple's day, and the blog's wedding shuttle guide explains guest transport.
Delegate shuttles for congresses at the Beanfield Centre
When a congress uses the Beanfield Centre and the Enercare Centre together, delegates arrive in a morning peak and leave in a late-afternoon peak, with an evening programme on top. Downtown hotels are about 5 km away along Lake Shore, so a loop with 12-seat Sprinter luxury vans can run a short headway; Hotel X Toronto is on the grounds and needs no shuttle at all.
Pearson-area hotels need an express service rather than a loop. For very large programmes we add 55-seat coaches from vetted partner operators and name them in the plan. Our Sprinter group transportation page explains how we size loops and how many vehicles a peak really needs.
What traffic should I expect around Exhibition Place on event nights?
Exhibition Place is busy far beyond the Beanfield Centre. A Toronto FC or Argonauts game at BMO Field, a concert at Coca-Cola Coliseum or a big public show in the Enercare halls can land on the same evening as your gala. Lake Shore Boulevard, Strachan Avenue and the roads into the grounds then fill at once, and the walk from the gate to the car gets longer.
We check the grounds' calendar and stadium fixtures for every evening booking and plan the arrival before the crowd and the departure after the stadium exit has cleared, staging cars on the quieter side of the grounds. In late August the CNE changes the whole site; plan any event during the CNE with extra time. Our BMO Field games page shows the stadium pattern.
Is transit an option for getting to the Beanfield Centre?
For daytime sessions, yes. Exhibition Place has TTC streetcar service and Exhibition GO station on the Lakeshore West line; check the Exhibition Place visiting page and the GO Transit site for current service before you travel, because big events change service patterns.
For evenings in formalwear, winter galas, guests with mobility needs and anyone heading on to a second venue, a car is the better option. Our cars fold and stow wheelchairs and walkers for passengers who can transfer to a seat; for anyone who must stay seated in a wheelchair or scooter, our wheelchair-accessible vehicle is available when booked in advance.
Why keep an hourly chauffeur on a Beanfield Centre night?
Because the end of an evening at Exhibition Place is unpredictable and the grounds are not a place to stand looking for a taxi. With an hourly booking your chauffeur is parked nearby, knows where you will walk out, and can take you on to a late dinner on King West, a hotel bar in Yorkville or home without a wait.
Hourly bookings start at 3 hours for sedans, SUVs, vans and Sprinters, and 4 hours for stretch limousines, with extra time in 30-minute blocks. For a congress day that ends with a gala, a full-day booking is usually the simplest plan. Our private chauffeur page explains how it works.
How do Pearson arrivals work for Beanfield Centre guests?
Pearson pickups are flight-tracked, and the fare includes curbside pickup at the pre-arranged pickup area on the arrivals level, as described on Toronto Pearson's pre-arranged services page. A meet-and-greet inside arrivals with a name board can be added at booking for VIPs, speakers and wedding guests arriving from abroad.
Included waiting is 30 minutes from actual landing on Canadian domestic and US flights and 60 minutes on other international flights. The run from either terminal to Exhibition Place is about 24 km. Guests flying into Billy Bishop are only about 3 km away, a five to fifteen minute drive from the Eireann Quay pavilion.
Which hotels are closest to the Beanfield Centre?
Hotel X Toronto stands on the Exhibition Place grounds, a short walk from the Automotive Building. King West and Liberty Village have more hotels a few minutes north, and the Financial District, about 5 km east, has the largest room blocks for big events.
Our convention hotels in Toronto page groups hotels by venue, and the Entertainment District and King West hotels page covers front-drive pickups nearby. For flights and room blocks for a delegation or wedding party, the travel desk books through BookingWorldwide.net so the hotel, flights and cars are planned together.
Can one chauffeur cover a multi-day congress at Exhibition Place?
Yes, and for a speaker, a board member or a sponsor's host it is often the calmest arrangement. The same chauffeur collects you from the hotel each morning, waits during sessions, runs you to lunch meetings in Liberty Village or the Financial District, returns you for the evening reception in the ballroom, and takes you to Pearson or Billy Bishop on the last day. Continuity matters: the chauffeur learns which door you prefer, how long your sessions really run and where your colleagues are staying.
We book it as consecutive hourly days, each starting from the 3-hour minimum and extending in 30-minute blocks, with the fare for each day shown in the reservation engine. For several executives, a coordinator can set the whole week out in writing.
What vehicle suits a Beanfield Centre event?
For one or two guests, a business sedan or first-class sedan. For a family or a small table of guests with coats and bags, an SUV. For seven to twelve guests travelling together, the 7-seat executive Sprinter, the six-seat first-class executive Sprinter, or the 12-seat Sprinter luxury van.
For a celebration, stretch limousines seating 8 to 18 and party buses come from vetted partner operators and are named at booking. The fleet page lists capacity for every class, and the reservation engine shows each fare before you confirm.
How do I book Beanfield Centre transportation direct?
Book transfers and hourly chauffeurs in the reservation engine on any page or at /book/, with 105 Princes' Boulevard as the address. The fixed, all-in fare appears before you confirm, and one dispatch desk handles the night from the first pickup to the last drop. Galas, weddings and multi-vehicle programmes can be priced in writing by a coordinator.
Individual bookings follow the sitewide cancellation policy: no charge more than 72 hours before pickup, 10 % at 72 hours or less, 50 % at 48 hours or less, and 100 % at 24 hours or less or for a no-show. For congresses that also use other Toronto venues, see trade show transportation in Toronto and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre page.
