For a private jet into Toronto Pearson, TorontoBlackLimousine.com sends a black car and chauffeur to the FBO handling your aircraft, timed to block-in rather than to an airline schedule. Downtown Toronto is about 32 km and 30–50 minutes away. The chauffeur waits at the FBO's landside entrance, meets the aircraft where the FBO permits, and the fixed fare shows before you book.
Private jet Toronto: how a Pearson FBO pickup works
Business aviation at Toronto Pearson runs on a different track from the airline terminals. Private and corporate aircraft park at a fixed-base operator (FBO) on the edge of the field, passengers clear customs in the FBO's own facility, and they walk out a separate door to a car that should already be there. That car is our job. When you book private jet ground transportation in Toronto through our reservation engine, the dispatcher records the tail number, the FBO, the estimated block time and the passenger count, then assigns a chauffeur who knows the FBO side of the airport and not just Terminals 1 and 3. The car is staged before the wheels touch down, so the only thing left on arrival is the bags. If the principal is staying in the city for meetings, the same chauffeur can stay with the car as an hourly chauffeur in Toronto instead of leaving after the first drop.
Which FBO at Pearson are you using?
The business-aviation facility your crew chose at Pearson decides where our chauffeur parks. Signature Aviation's YYZ page, checked on 30 September 2026, lists its Toronto FBO on Derry Road East, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with on-site customs and immigration, conference rooms and a heated hangar in winter. If your crew uses a different FBO or ground handler at Pearson, or a charter operator arranges its own handling, the entrance will be different. That is why the booking form asks for the handler by name. We are not affiliated with any FBO; we are the ground car. Give us the name your flight department or charter broker confirmed, and dispatch will send the chauffeur to that landside entrance, not to the airline curb.
What the fixed fare includes, without surprises
The reservation engine shows a fixed, all-in fare before you confirm. It covers the chauffeur, the vehicle, fuel, 407 ETR tolls if we use the 407, airport fees and gratuity, with HST shown separately. There is no meter and no surge on a busy evening when three jets land at once. What changes the fare is honest and short: the vehicle class, the distance and time of the trip, extra stops, waiting beyond the included window, and whether you book a single transfer or keep the car by the hour. Add-ons such as child seats are available at booking. For the full logic, how our fares work explains each line. The quickest way to see the exact number for your address and aircraft time is to open the booking engine and enter the trip.
Distances and drive times from the Pearson FBO area
Planning figures from the FBO side of Pearson, measured by the routes our chauffeurs actually drive. Rush hour on the 401 and the Gardiner is the biggest variable; the reservation engine quotes your exact trip.
| From the Pearson FBO area to | Distance | Typical drive time |
|---|---|---|
| Pearson Terminal 1 or 3 (crew or passenger swap) | 6–8 km | 10–15 min |
| Airport Corporate Centre hotels | 8 km | 10–15 min |
| Downtown Toronto (Financial District, Union Station) | 32 km | 30–50 min |

Meet at the aircraft: where the FBO permits
Many travellers ask whether the car can drive onto the ramp to the aircraft stairs. At Pearson that is not our decision. Ramp access is controlled by the airport authority and the FBO, and when it is allowed, the FBO escorts the vehicle and sets the conditions. So our promise is simple: the chauffeur meets you at the aircraft only where the FBO permits it, and otherwise waits at the FBO's landside door or in its lobby, name board in hand if you asked for one. In practice the difference is a short walk. The FBO's line staff usually bring bags from the aircraft hold to the car, and the chauffeur loads them. If planeside meeting matters, for a VIP, a medical passenger or a security detail, tell us when you book so the dispatcher can ask the FBO in advance rather than at the gate.

How dispatch tracks a private flight
Airline flights have public flight numbers; private flights have tail numbers and filed flight plans. Give us the registration (for example C-XXXX or N-number) and the estimated time of departure, and the dispatcher follows the flight from wheels-up. If the aircraft leaves late, the car is re-timed at no charge; you only need to tell us about schedule changes the tracking cannot see, such as a passenger who will stay aboard during a fuel stop. Included waiting runs from actual arrival: 30 minutes for flights from within Canada or the United States, and 60 minutes for flights from anywhere else, which covers most customs clearances at the FBO. After that, waiting is billed in 15-minute blocks. Crew changes, catering pickups and a second leg later in the day can be written into the same booking.
Customs at a Pearson FBO
International private flights clear the Canada Border Services Agency at the FBO rather than in the airline halls. Canada's rules are set by the CBSA, not by the FBO or by us. For general aviation, the CBSA's telephone reporting page says the pilot calls the Telephone Reporting Centre at least two hours and no more than 48 hours before arrival, lands at an approved airport of entry, and that passengers stay aboard until authorised to leave. Members of the CANPASS private and corporate aircraft programs follow a streamlined version. The CBSA's directory of offices and services lists Pearson as an airport of entry. For the traveller, the practical point is that clearance time varies, so our included international waiting is 60 minutes and the chauffeur stays put until you walk out.
Choosing the vehicle for a private jet arrival
Private flights carry fewer people and more bags than you might expect: golf clubs, garment bags, equipment cases, a dog in a travel crate. Match the car to the load, not only the head count.
- First-class sedan for one or two executives with carry-ons, the usual choice for a Bay Street day.
- Premier luxury SUV for up to six with real luggage, and the best winter car when the 427 is slick.
- Executive Sprinter for a team of up to seven with cases, and a mobile meeting room on the way downtown.
- Sprinter luxury van for a larger delegation or a crew of twelve.
Our fleet page lists capacities. If the aircraft is a large-cabin jet with a full manifest, we can send two vehicles, one for people and one for bags, so nobody waits for the second car.
When the hourly chauffeur beats a one-way transfer
A private flight is rarely a single hop. The principal lands, goes to a meeting on King Street, lunches in Yorkville, visits a site in Vaughan and flies out the same evening. Booking four separate transfers means four cars and four waits. Booking an hourly private chauffeur means one car and one chauffeur for a three-hour minimum or the whole day, waiting outside each stop, bags locked in the trunk, and back at the FBO for the return leg with no second pickup to arrange. Extra time is billed in 30-minute blocks, so a meeting that overruns does not strand anyone. For roadshows with several investors in a day, see roadshow and investor-meeting transport; the same car can shadow the schedule from wheels-down to wheels-up.
Crew transport, overnight stays and positioning legs
Flight crews need cars too, and their timing is different. After a late arrival, pilots and cabin crew want a quick ride to a hotel near the airport and a reliable pickup before the next day's duty. We can book the crew car on the same file as the passengers, with a separate pickup time and a separate drop. For overnight stays near the field, the hotels around the airport strip and the Airport Corporate Centre are 10 to 15 minutes from the FBO area; our Pearson airport hotels page covers that district. When an aircraft repositions empty to another field, we can also move crew between airports, for example from Pearson to Billy Bishop private aviation or to Hamilton (YHM) private aviation.
Departures: getting to the FBO on time
For departures, the question is when to leave, not when the flight leaves. Private passengers do not queue for security in the airline sense, but the crew still needs time to load bags and brief, and the drive across the city can change by 30 minutes between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Our dispatchers plan a Financial District pickup about 60 to 75 minutes before wheels-up on a weekday afternoon and closer to 45 minutes early on a Sunday morning, then adjust for weather, a Leafs game or a Gardiner lane closure. Tell us the planned departure time and the FBO; we will suggest a pickup time and send the chauffeur's details the evening before. If the crew changes the slot, one message to dispatch moves the car.
Winter at Pearson: snow, de-icing and slower roads
Toronto winters change the timing of everything at the airport. De-icing can hold an aircraft on the ground, and a band of lake-effect snow can slow the 427 to a crawl. Our cars run winter tires from November to April, and our dispatchers watch the forecasts from Environment Canada before they set pickup times on a snowy day. On arrivals, the flight tracking absorbs the delay automatically. On departures, we add buffer time rather than asking you to rush, and the chauffeur keeps the car warm at the FBO door until the crew calls you forward. Luggage stays dry in the trunk, and a winter emergency kit rides in every vehicle.

Privacy, discretion and VIP arrivals
People fly privately for privacy as much as for time. Our chauffeurs do not post photos, do not name passengers and do not discuss who they drove. Vehicles are unbranded black cars with no roof signs. If you need a name board with an alias, a car that waits out of sight until the principal is ready, or coordination with a security detail, write it in the booking notes. For heads of delegation and protocol visits, diplomatic and VIP protocol transport explains how we work with advance teams, motorcade timing and multiple vehicles.
Accessibility, children and pets on private flights
Private aviation is often chosen by families and by travellers with reduced mobility. Child seats (infant, convertible and booster) are available at booking, so tell us the ages. We have a wheelchair-accessible vehicle for anyone who must stay seated in a wheelchair or scooter, available when booked in advance: for passengers who can transfer to a seat, the chauffeur folds and stows the wheelchair or walker. Pets in carriers need prior approval: request it at booking and wait for written confirmation. Mention anything unusual, such as oxygen equipment or a service animal, so the chauffeur has the right vehicle and the right space.
Beyond Toronto: the rest of the trip
Many private arrivals at Pearson continue somewhere else: a cottage in Muskoka, a winery lunch in Niagara, a factory visit in Waterloo Region, or across the border to Buffalo. The same chauffeur can drive the whole way, and for trips outside Ontario our city-to-city car service covers driver hours and rest stops. If the next leg is a flight on another continent, our network reach is useful: through the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network, chauffeured cars in more than 70 countries and 500 cities can be booked on the same Toronto account. For flights, hotels and packages around the trip, our travel desk handles the rest.
Why book direct rather than through the FBO or a broker
FBOs and charter brokers will happily arrange a car, and sometimes that is convenient. Booking directly with TorontoBlackLimousine.com gives you one dispatch desk, the fixed fare in writing before you confirm, and a chauffeur you can reach on the day without going through a third party. There is no app and no aggregator commission. For companies that fly often, a corporate account keeps every trip, receipt and passenger name in one place; corporate car service explains monthly invoicing and account managers. Either way, you book through the same reservation engine that sits on every page of this site.
Cancellations and changes
Private schedules move, so the cancellation rules are published rather than negotiated at the curb. More than 72 hours before pickup, cancellation costs nothing. At 72 hours or less it is 10 %, at 48 hours or less 50 %, and at 24 hours or less, or a no-show, 100 %, measured from the scheduled pickup. A flight delayed by weather or by the aircraft is not a cancellation: the tracking moves the car. If the trip is cancelled outright, tell dispatch as early as you can. Changes to vehicle class, pickup time and stops can be made in writing before the day.
