When your private jet charter lands at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ), TorontoBlackLimousine.com has a black car and chauffeur ready on the mainland side at Eireann Quay, or at the FBO where it permits vehicle access. The Financial District is only 3–5 km and 10–20 minutes away, Pearson about 30 km. The fixed fare shows before you book.
Private jet charter Toronto: why Billy Bishop is different
Billy Bishop sits on the Toronto Island at the foot of Bathurst Street, a few minutes from the towers of the Financial District. For a charter passenger that proximity is the whole point: you can land and be in a boardroom on King Street before a Pearson arrival has cleared the 427. The trade-off is geography. The airport is on an island, reached by a pedestrian tunnel or a short ferry, and cars do not simply pull up beside the aircraft. Our job is to make the island part invisible, with a chauffeur timed to your block-in, a clear meeting point, and a car that is already facing the right way on Lake Shore Boulevard. For a full day in the core, the same car can stay as an hourly chauffeur in Toronto.
The FBO at Billy Bishop
Porter FBO's own site, checked on 30 September 2026, describes it as the full-service FBO at CYTZ, located in Hangar 6 just east of the control tower, with published daily hours of 05:30 to 23:00. Its services page lists a passenger lounge, a courtesy shuttle to the terminal and tunnel, Canadian customs clearance with posted hours, and airside vehicle access among its ground services. FBO hours and services change, so crews should confirm with the FBO before the flight. We are not affiliated with the FBO or with the airport; we are the car on the other side of the fence. Tell us when you book that your aircraft is using the FBO, and our dispatcher will plan the meeting point with that in mind.
Where the chauffeur actually meets you
At Billy Bishop there are two realistic meeting points, and we agree which one at booking.
- The mainland pavilion on Eireann Quay. This is where cars pick up and drop off for the airport, as the airport's pick-up and drop-off page explains. The FBO's courtesy shuttle brings passengers to the terminal and tunnel, and the tunnel or ferry brings them across. The chauffeur waits at the pavilion with a name board if you asked for one.
- At the FBO, where the FBO permits it. Airside vehicle access is something the FBO arranges, not something we can assume. When it is allowed for your movement, the FBO sets the conditions and the escort, and the chauffeur follows their instructions exactly.
Most charter passengers find the pavilion meeting quick and simple. If a principal cannot walk the tunnel, or security wants the car at the aircraft, ask us to request it in advance.

What the fare includes
Every booking made through our reservation engine shows a fixed, all-in fare before you confirm: chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, 407 ETR tolls if we use the 407, airport fees and gratuity, with HST listed separately. There is no meter running while the ferry crosses. What changes the number is the vehicle class, the distance and time, extra stops, waiting past the included window, and whether you keep the car by the hour. Child seats and a name-board meet and greet are available at booking. See how our fares work for each element, or open the engine and enter your address to see the exact fare in seconds.
Short island hop, long day in the city
Because Billy Bishop is so close to the core, a single transfer is often only ten minutes long. That makes the hourly option especially sensible. A charter passenger landing for a day of meetings might go from the pavilion to a law firm on Bay Street, to lunch in Yorkville, to a site visit in the Port Lands and back to the island for a late departure. An hourly private chauffeur covers all of it with one car and one chauffeur for a three-hour minimum or the whole day, bags locked in the trunk and the car outside each door. Extra time goes in 30-minute blocks, so a signing that runs long simply extends the day.

Tracking the flight and included waiting
Give the dispatcher the tail number and the estimated departure time, and the flight is followed from the moment it leaves. If the charter is held on the ground elsewhere, the car moves with it at no charge. Waiting is included from actual arrival: 30 minutes for flights from within Canada or the United States and 60 minutes for flights from anywhere else. After that, waiting runs in 15-minute blocks. At an island airport, add a few minutes for the shuttle and the tunnel or ferry; our chauffeurs plan for it and do not start the clock early.
Customs for private flights into Billy Bishop
International charters clear Canadian customs before passengers leave the airport. The CBSA's Directory of Offices and Services lists Billy Bishop as an airport of entry, and the CBSA's general aviation reporting rules require the pilot to call the Telephone Reporting Centre at least two hours and no more than 48 hours before arrival, and to land at an approved airport of entry during CBSA business hours unless other arrangements are made. Porter FBO also lists customs clearance hours on its site. Travellers enrolled in CANPASS for private or corporate aircraft follow the program's rules. For the passenger, the only practical question is time, and the included 60 minutes for international arrivals usually covers it.
Getting to Billy Bishop for a departure
Leaving from the island is quick, but the last kilometre is busy. Bathurst Street and Queens Quay get congested at rush hour, and the streetcar right-of-way limits where cars can stop. Our chauffeurs drop at the Eireann Quay pavilion, unload the bags, and point you to the tunnel entrance described on the airport's pedestrian tunnel page. From Bay Street we plan a pickup 30 to 40 minutes before the crew wants you at the FBO on a weekday afternoon; from Pearson, where a passenger might arrive on an airline and connect to a charter, allow at least an hour. Our Pearson to Billy Bishop route covers that cross-town connection in detail.
Choosing a vehicle for a Billy Bishop charter
Charters into the island are usually smaller aircraft, so manifests are modest, but luggage can still surprise. A first-class sedan suits two executives with carry-ons. A premier luxury SUV takes up to six with suitcases and is the safer bet in snow. An Executive Sprinter seats up to seven, useful when a deal team arrives together and wants to keep talking on the way to the office. Our luxury SUV service and the fleet page describe each class. If the group is larger than one vehicle, two cars can leave together.
Downtown timing: events, closures and waterfront traffic
Billy Bishop's neighbourhood has its own traffic calendar. Blue Jays home games fill the streets around the Rogers Centre, concerts empty Scotiabank Arena late at night, and the waterfront hosts festivals and marathons that close Lake Shore Boulevard for a morning. The airport's ferry page and the pedestrian tunnel keep the island reachable during all of it, but the car side needs planning. Our dispatchers check the City of Toronto's closures and the Ontario 511 traffic map before setting pickup times, and they will route by Spadina, Bathurst or Lower Simcoe depending on the day.
Crew cars and quick turns
A charter that drops passengers and repositions needs crew transport on a different timetable. We can book the crew on the same file with separate pickup times, whether they are heading to a downtown hotel for rest or across the city to Pearson for an airline flight home. For crew staying near the water, the waterfront hotels page covers the hotels closest to the pavilion. For a quick turn where the passengers leave and the aircraft departs within the hour, the car simply drops the passengers where they need to be and the crew stays on the island with the FBO.
Privacy and discreet arrivals downtown
A downtown arrival is visible: the pavilion is a public place on a busy quay. When discretion matters, we plan it. The chauffeur can wait out of sight until you call, use an alias on the name board, or position the car a short walk away on Eireann Quay rather than at the busiest point. Our cars are unbranded black vehicles with no roof signs, and chauffeurs do not photograph or discuss passengers. For heads of delegation and security details, diplomatic and VIP protocol transport explains how we coordinate multiple vehicles and advance teams.

Children, mobility and pets
Families on charters often land at Billy Bishop because the city is so close. Infant, convertible and booster seats are available at booking; give us the ages and they will be installed before arrival. We have a wheelchair-accessible vehicle for anyone who must stay seated in a wheelchair or scooter, available when booked in advance: passengers who can transfer to a seat travel with the wheelchair or walker folded in the trunk. The tunnel has moving walkways, but if walking it is a problem, ask us to request vehicle access through the FBO. Pets in carriers need prior approval, requested at booking and confirmed in writing.
Connecting the rest of the trip
Few charter trips end at the first meeting. The same chauffeur can take you to the Pearson FBO area for a larger aircraft, north to Muskoka, or down the QEW to Niagara. For other fields, compare Pearson private jet ground transportation and Oshawa Executive Airport car service. Travelling on abroad? Through the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network, chauffeured cars in more than 70 countries and 500 cities are bookable on the same Toronto account, and our travel desk can add flights and hotels around the charter.
Cancellation policy for charter pickups
Charters change, so the rules are written down. More than 72 hours before pickup, cancelling costs nothing. At 72 hours or less it is 10 %, at 48 hours or less 50 %, and at 24 hours or less, or a no-show, 100 %, measured from the scheduled pickup. A delayed charter is not a cancellation; flight tracking moves the car. If the whole trip is cancelled, one message to dispatch closes the booking.
