Long distance car service from Toronto with TorontoBlackLimousine.com is a door-to-door black car, SUV or Sprinter to another city: Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, Barrie, Niagara Falls, London, Ottawa, Montreal or across the border. The fare is fixed before you confirm on /book/, covering chauffeur, fuel, tolls and gratuity, and the chauffeur can wait and bring you back the same day.
What is a long distance car service in Toronto?
A long distance car service is a private, chauffeured ride from one city to another, booked for your door and your time rather than a station timetable. With TorontoBlackLimousine.com you reserve a specific vehicle class, the chauffeur collects you at home, the office, a hotel or Pearson, and drives straight to your destination address. No transfers, no platform changes, no waiting with luggage at a bus bay.
The fare is fixed in advance and includes the chauffeur, the vehicle, fuel, 407 ETR tolls if we use the highway, and gratuity, with HST shown separately. There is no meter and no surge. For trips where you need the car at the other end as well, the booking can switch to an hourly chauffeur for the day.
Where do our city-to-city car services go?
These are the trips we run most often, with typical planning distances and drive times from downtown Toronto (the Union Station area) and from Pearson (YYZ). They are planning figures, not promises; the reservation engine quotes the exact fixed fare for your address, date, time and vehicle.

Car service from Toronto to Niagara Falls
The Toronto to Niagara Falls car service is our most requested city-to-city trip. It is about 130 km and 85 to 110 minutes along the Gardiner Expressway and the QEW, through Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington and the Niagara fruit belt. Most guests go for the day: a one-way drop at a Fallsview hotel works, but an hourly booking lets the chauffeur wait while you see the falls, visit a winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake and drive home in the evening.
For sightseeing days, read Niagara Falls limo tours. For a simple ride, see the Toronto to Niagara Falls route with notes on the QEW, the Burlington Skyway and weekend traffic.
Car service between Kitchener-Waterloo and Toronto
Kitchener-Waterloo is about 110 km and 75 to 95 minutes from downtown Toronto via the 401, and closer to Pearson, which makes it one of our busiest corporate corridors. Technology companies, the universities and the region's manufacturers send visitors to Toronto for meetings and back to Pearson for flights, and the 401 between Milton and Cambridge is one of the most congested stretches in Ontario at rush hour.
A car service from Kitchener to Toronto lets a team work in a Sprinter or an SUV instead of watching the road. The Toronto to Kitchener-Waterloo route page has timing advice, and our Waterloo airport (YKF) page covers flights from Breslau.
Limo and car service to Hamilton, Barrie and Guelph
Shorter intercity runs are where a private car saves the most time. Hamilton is 68 km and 50 to 75 minutes by the Gardiner and the QEW; Guelph is about 95 km and 65 to 85 minutes along the 401 and Highway 6; Barrie is 95 km and 70 to 90 minutes up Highway 400. For each of these, a limo or car service beats a combination of GO train and local taxi when you have luggage, a tight meeting slot or a group.
Barrie trips often continue north to cottage country. If you are heading beyond Barrie in winter, allow extra time: snow squalls off Georgian Bay can slow the 400 sharply. Our cars run on winter tires from November to April, and the chauffeur checks Ontario 511 road conditions before leaving.
Long distance limo to Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec
Ottawa is about 450 km and four and a half to five hours from Toronto; Montreal is 545 km and five and a half to six and a half hours; Quebec City about 800 km. Clients choose a chauffeur over flying or the train for these distances when they are travelling as a group, carrying equipment or samples, or making stops along the way at Kingston, Belleville or a client site.
Long days are planned with rest breaks. For a one-way drop in Montreal or Quebec City, the fare accounts for the chauffeur's return. For a round trip with the same chauffeur, we either keep the car overnight at your destination or plan a schedule with enough rest; we will not stretch a single chauffeur past a safe working day. See the Toronto to Ottawa and Toronto to Montreal routes.
Toronto to New York car service and other US cities
A Toronto to New York car service is about 790 km and eight to nine and a half hours of driving, plus the border. It is a long day, but for a family moving a student to university, an executive team with meetings on the way, or anyone who cannot fly, it is practical and private.
Every passenger needs valid travel documents for the United States and for re-entry to Canada. The full border guide is on our cross-border limo to the USA page, and the New York City to Toronto page covers the route in both directions, with bridge choices and rest stops.
Why choose a car over the train, the bus or flying?
We will be honest: for a solo traveller with a carry-on going from Union Station to downtown Ottawa or Montreal, VIA Rail is often simpler and cheaper. GO Transit runs commuter trains and buses to Hamilton, Kitchener, Barrie and Niagara, and is excellent value for one person heading to a station.
A private car wins when:
- You travel as a family or group, where one vehicle replaces several tickets.
- You have heavy luggage, sports gear, musical instruments or sample cases.
- Your start or end point is not near a station, such as a cottage, a plant or a rural venue.
- You need to leave at a time the timetable does not offer, especially early mornings and late nights.
- You want to work, take calls or sleep without a connection to catch.
- You need several stops on the way.
Which vehicle is best for a long drive?
Comfort matters more over three or five hours than over thirty minutes. Choose for passengers and bags:
| Vehicle | Seats / bags | Best for long distance |
|---|---|---|
| Business sedan | 2 / 2 | One or two travellers with standard luggage |
| First-class sedan | 2 / 2 | Executives who want the quietest ride |
| SUV | 6 / 4 | Families and winter trips north |
| Premier luxury SUV | 6 / 4 | Executive teams and VIP families |
| Executive Sprinter | 7 | Teams that want to work together on the road |
| Sprinter luxury van (12) | 12 / 12 | Delegations, sports teams and wedding parties |
The reservation engine lists the exact bag capacity for each class. If you are carrying skis, golf bags or equipment cases, add them in the notes so dispatch can confirm the vehicle.
How the fare works on a city-to-city trip
We do not publish prices on this site, because a fixed quote for your exact trip is more useful than a range. The fare depends on:
- Vehicle class, from business sedan up to Sprinter.
- Distance and drive time to your destination address.
- One-way or round trip, and whether the chauffeur waits, returns empty or stays overnight.
- Waiting and extra stops along the way.
- Date and time, including holiday weekends.
Enter the trip in the reservation engine at /book/ and you see the fixed, all-in fare before you confirm. Our fare guide explains what is always included.
One-way, round trip or hourly: which should you book?
- One-way suits airport runs, moving day and dropping a traveller at a hotel or campus.
- Round trip, same day suits a meeting in Kitchener, a funeral in London or a day at the falls. The chauffeur waits, and hourly usually prices this best.
- Round trip, different days suits a weekend in Niagara-on-the-Lake or a week in Ottawa. We book two separate trips.
- Chauffeur overnight suits multi-day roadshows and tours, where you want the same car and driver throughout.
Not sure? Our guide to hourly vs point-to-point walks through real examples.
Highways, tolls and timing on long trips
The routes out of Toronto are well known to our chauffeurs: the QEW to Niagara, the 401 west to Kitchener, London and Windsor and east to Kingston and Montreal, the 400 north to Barrie, and the 407 ETR across the top of the city. The 407 ETR is a toll highway, and when we use it to save time the toll is already in your fixed fare.
Plan around the rush: weekday mornings into the city and late afternoons outbound are slow on every corridor, and Friday afternoons in summer are slowest of all on the 400 north. Holiday weekends add long lines at the border and at cottage-country exits.
Airport connections: Pearson and beyond
Many city-to-city trips begin or end at an airport. Pearson is 27 km and 25 to 45 minutes from downtown, and we track every flight; included waiting is 30 minutes after Canadian domestic and US arrivals and 60 minutes after other international arrivals, from actual landing. Curbside pickup at the pre-arranged pickup area is included, and meet and greet inside arrivals is available at booking.
Some travellers fly into Hamilton, Buffalo or Waterloo to save on airfare. We run Buffalo airport, Hamilton airport and Waterloo transfers to anywhere in the Toronto area on the same fixed-fare basis.
Long distance travel with kids, seniors and pets
Private cars suit travellers who need more space and more stops. Infant, convertible and booster seats are available at booking. For seniors, the chauffeur helps with luggage and plans rest stops every couple of hours on long runs. Folding wheelchairs and walkers are stowed for passengers who can transfer to a seat; we have a wheelchair-accessible vehicle for anyone who must stay seated in a wheelchair or scooter, available when booked in advance.
If you want to travel with a pet, request prior approval at booking and wait for written confirmation; dispatch then assigns a suitable vehicle and allows for a carrier. Service animals are welcome; mention them at booking.
Corporate intercity travel and roadshows
Companies book city-to-city travel for plant visits, client meetings, due diligence and investor roadshows, often with three or four stops in a day. A chauffeur turns drive time into work time, and a single booking keeps receipts simple. For multi-city roadshows, see roadshows and investor meetings and our corporate car service for monthly invoicing on a company account.
If the trip continues by air, our travel desk can add flights and hotels to the same plan.
