Toronto Jazz Festival car service is a chauffeured black car or SUV for the TD Toronto Jazz Festival, which runs for about ten days, usually in late June, with Bloor-Yorkville at its heart. Yorkville is about 5 km (10–20 minutes) from Union Station and about 27 km (30–45 minutes) from Pearson. Most guests book an hourly chauffeur for the evening; see the fixed fare at /book/.
What is Toronto Jazz Festival car service?
The festival mixes free outdoor sets, ticketed concerts in halls and clubs, and a lot of dinner reservations in between. A chauffeured car turns that into one smooth evening: pickup at home or the hotel, a drop at the first venue, a short hop to dinner, another to a late show, and the ride home with no parking ticket on a Yorkville side street. Booked through the Toronto hourly chauffeur service, one car and one chauffeur stay with you, staged a short walk away and moved up when you text. For a single ticketed concert with a fixed end, a one-way transfer each way also works, and our concert and game-day limo page explains both options.

When does the Toronto Jazz Festival take place?
The festival is held every summer, usually over about ten days in late June, and the organisers describe the most recent edition as featuring more than 500 musicians from over 20 countries. Dates, lineups and stage locations are announced each spring, so we do not print them here: check the TD Toronto Jazz Festival site for the schedule and tickets. The organisers also present concerts outside the festival window, for example at Massey Hall in the autumn, and the same chauffeur plan applies to those nights.
Where are the festival stages and venues?
Bloor-Yorkville is the festival's best-known area, with outdoor programming in the streets and squares around Yorkville Avenue and Cumberland Street, and the wider neighbourhood is described on the Bloor-Yorkville site. Ticketed concerts are spread across halls and clubs in the city, which can include Massey Hall on Shuter Street and other downtown and midtown venues depending on the year. The chauffeur reads your tickets and the festival map before the evening and plans drop-offs at the nearest permitted curb to each one. See our Yorkville and Bloor Street shopping page for the neighbourhood's streets and stops.
Distance and drive time to Yorkville and the concert halls
Planning figures in normal traffic. Summer evenings in Yorkville and the core are busy, and festival programming can close part of a street, so allow time; the reservation engine quotes the exact fixed fare for your address, date, time and vehicle.

|---|---|---|
| Union Station to Yorkville | about 5 km | 10–20 min |
| Union Station to Massey Hall | about 1.5 km | 5–10 min |
| Yorkville to Massey Hall | about 3.5 km | 10–15 min |
| Pearson (YYZ) to Yorkville | about 27 km | 30–45 min |
| Billy Bishop (YTZ) to Yorkville | about 6 km | 15–25 min |
| North York to Yorkville | about 12 km | 20–30 min |
| Mississauga to Yorkville | about 30 km | 35–50 min |
| Oakville to Yorkville | about 40 km | 40–55 min |
| Vaughan to Yorkville | about 30 km | 30–45 min |
| Markham to Yorkville | about 30 km | 30–45 min |
| Richmond Hill to Yorkville | about 27 km | 30–45 min |
From downtown and Yorkville hotels
If you are staying at one of the Yorkville hotels, the outdoor stages are a walk away, and the car comes into its own for the ticketed show downtown and the late return. From the Financial District hotels or the Entertainment District hotels the chauffeur goes up University Avenue and Queen's Park, or Avenue Road from the west, avoiding Bloor Street at its busiest. Guests in a luxury hotel often keep the car for the whole evening because it is the simplest way to make a restaurant booking, a 9 p.m. set and a nightcap in three different places.
From Pearson and the suburbs
Visiting musicians' families, out-of-town fans and business travellers sometimes arrive at Pearson on the night of a show. The chauffeur tracks the flight and meets you at the pre-arranged pickup area on the arrivals curb (name-board meet inside arrivals available at booking), then drives about 27 km via the 427, the Gardiner and the DVP or the 401 and Avenue Road, whichever is moving. From Vaughan, Richmond Hill and Markham the 400 or 404 and the 401 lead south to Avenue Road; from Mississauga and Oakville the Gardiner is the usual approach. Luggage waits in the car during the show.
Drop-off and pickup in Yorkville during the festival
Yorkville's streets are narrow and busy at the best of times, and festival programming can take over part of a street or square. We do not name fixed pickup doors; the chauffeur picks the nearest legal curb on a street that is open, often on Bloor Street, Avenue Road, Bay Street or a quieter side street, and texts you the location. For a hall show, the drop is at the venue's front where stopping is allowed, and the pickup is a block away when the audience pours out at once. Our Yorkville dinner drop-off notes describe the side streets that work best.
Street closures and summer traffic
Late June is one of Toronto's busiest stretches: Pride Toronto and its closures, Blue Jays home stands, construction season on the arterials and patio crowds on Bloor all overlap with the festival. Outdoor stages can take over part of a Yorkville street or square for an evening. The chauffeur checks the City's road notices and Ontario 511 before leaving and plans a route that avoids the closed blocks. For a fixed concert start, leave a margin of 15 minutes from downtown and 30 from the suburbs on a weekday evening.
Why an hourly chauffeur suits a jazz night
Jazz nights rarely end when the program says. Sets run long, an encore follows, a second club calls, and dinner moves later. An hourly booking (3-hour minimum, then 30-minute blocks) means none of that needs a new ride. It also suits corporate hosts entertaining clients during festival week: the car collects guests from the office, carries them to dinner and a show, and drops each at home or their hotel, so nobody has to choose between the encore and the last train north. Visiting executives staying a few days often keep the same chauffeur for meetings by day and the festival by night. Read hourly vs point-to-point to see when the hourly option comes out ahead, and our private chauffeur page for as-directed evenings.
Vehicle choice for the festival
between dinner and a show.
- Business sedan or first-class sedan: a couple or a host with one guest.
- Tesla Model Y: an electric black car for a quieter footprint.
- Premier luxury SUV or SUV: four to six friends, instrument cases or a client party.
- First-class executive Sprinter: six captain's chairs for a corporate group moving
- Sprinter luxury van: up to twelve, for a band's crew or a large group.
Musicians, crews and gear
Performers and their crews often need different things from fans: an early soundcheck call, gear that must ride with them, and a late load-out. We handle those as as-directed bookings with a named lead contact. An SUV or Sprinter takes cases that will not fit a sedan, and the chauffeur waits through load-out and drives the crew back to the hotel or to Pearson. Tell us the instrument sizes in the booking notes. Our film and TV production page covers crew transport for longer engagements in the city.

Accessibility and comfort on a long evening
Summer evenings can be humid and warm, and a car with air conditioning is a welcome break between sets. For guests with limited mobility the chauffeur drops as close to each venue as the street allows. We have a wheelchair-accessible vehicle for anyone who must stay seated in a wheelchair or scooter, available when booked in advance: chauffeurs fold and stow wheelchairs and walkers for passengers who can transfer to a seat. Child seats are available at booking for families going to daytime outdoor sets.
Building a summer evening around the festival
The festival sits in the middle of Toronto's festival season. Many visitors pair a jazz night with Luminato and Hot Docs programming in June, the NXNE crowd covered on our NXNE and Yorkville events page, or Canada Day fireworks if the festival runs into the long weekend. Couples turn a concert into a full night out with a dinner booking; see our date night and proposals page for how chauffeurs handle those evenings discreetly.
Step by step: planning a festival night with a chauffeur
- Buy concert tickets and note the venue address and the doors and show times printed on them.
- Book any dinner reservation, then decide whether you need the car for one leg or the whole evening.
- Book the car at /book/, choosing hourly if there is more than one stop, and add the venue and restaurant in the notes.
- On the day, the chauffeur texts when on the way and again on arrival at your pickup.
- At the end of the show, text the chauffeur as you leave your seat; the car moves up to the agreed street.
Corporate hosting during festival week
Festival week is a favourite for client entertaining because it offers something for every taste: an early outdoor set for the team, a headline concert for key clients and a late club for the night owls. For hosts, the logistics are the hard part. We set up one booking per vehicle under a single company file, with each guest's pickup address and a named lead passenger, and the chauffeurs coordinate so that cars arrive at the restaurant in the right order. Sedans peel off to take guests home at the end. Our corporate car service page explains billing to an account.
Tickets, hotels and flights
Buy concert tickets directly from the festival's official site or the venue. For flights and rooms around festival week, our travel desk can book a Pearson or Billy Bishop flight and a hotel in Yorkville or downtown, and we add the chauffeured transfers to the same plan. Late June rooms in Yorkville go quickly, so book early if you want to walk to the outdoor stages.
What the fare includes and how to book
Every booking carries a fixed price that bundles the chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, 407 ETR tolls where used and gratuity, with HST itemised. You influence it through the vehicle class, the distance and the hours, waiting, extra stops, the date and the hourly minimum; a late encore or a detour around a closed street does not set a meter running. Reserve on TorontoBlackLimousine.com at /book/ or through the "Book now" button. There is no fee to cancel more than 72 hours before the pickup time. See more Toronto events.
