For NXNE in Toronto and events in Yorkville, the practical booking is an hourly chauffeur: one black car stays with you while you move between festival venues, dinners and after-parties, with a 3-hour minimum. Yorkville is about 5 km and 10 to 20 minutes from Union Station, and about 27 km from Pearson. Book your festival-night car and see the fixed fare first.
NXNE Toronto: why a car by the hour fits the festival
NXNE (North by Northeast) is Toronto's long-running June music festival and conference, spreading hundreds of emerging artists across dozens of venues around the city over several nights. The official NXNE site publishes the lineup, venues and set times each year; the 2026 edition ran in mid-June. The festival is built for wandering: a showcase in one club at eight, a band you heard about at ten somewhere else, a late set across town. That is exactly the pattern where an hourly chauffeur in Toronto beats ride-hailing. You keep one car and one chauffeur, the vehicle is never more than a phone call away, and the night's plan can change without a new booking each time. Industry guests, label teams and artist managers use the same arrangement to move between showcases, meetings and hotels.

Limo to NXNE: how a festival night runs
Most NXNE bookings start at a hotel or home in the early evening. The chauffeur drops you at the first venue, parks nearby (or loops, where stopping is restricted), and waits for your message. When you are ready, you walk out to an agreed corner and the car pulls up. Repeat as often as the night demands. At the end, the chauffeur takes everyone home, including friends dropped at different addresses along the way. For bands and crews we can carry guitars, merch boxes and small amps in a Sprinter; tell dispatch the gear list so the right vehicle turns up. A limo to NXNE is less about arriving in a stretch and more about never losing an hour between sets.

Downtown in June means patios, construction and festival closures, so these figures stretch on Friday and Saturday nights. The fixed fare for your plan shows in the reservation engine before you confirm.
Which neighbourhoods does NXNE use?
NXNE venues change every year, and the festival publishes the current list on its site, so we never print a venue list from memory. The showcases tend to cluster in the downtown club and bar districts, particularly the west-end strips along Queen Street and Dundas Street and the streets around Kensington Market, with larger halls closer to the core. Wherever the venues are, the driving pattern is the same: narrow streets, streetcar tracks, bike lanes and very little legal stopping space. Chauffeurs know where they can briefly pull over, which side streets work for a pickup, and when it is better to meet you a block away than to block a streetcar outside the door.
Yorkville events and evenings
Yorkville is Toronto's luxury pocket north of Bloor Street between Avenue Road and Yonge Street: designer boutiques, galleries, hotel bars and some of the city's best-known restaurants, with the Royal Ontario Museum on its western edge. The neighbourhood hosts events across the year, from summer street programming to holiday lighting, and it becomes the city's red-carpet district during TIFF in September. The local business associations at Bloor-Yorkville and Yorkville Village post what is on. A Yorkville car service is usually booked for a dinner and a show, a shopping afternoon on Bloor Street, or a gala in a hotel ballroom, and the chauffeur waits nearby rather than circling the one-way streets.

Yorkville car service: drop-off and pickup tips
Yorkville's streets are short, many are one-way, and the front drives of the big hotels are busy in the evening. Your chauffeur will use a hotel's front drive when you are staying there or attending an event inside, and otherwise the curb on a side street where stopping is allowed. For restaurant dinners, give dispatch the address and reservation time; the chauffeur arrives a few minutes early and texts when outside. After dinner, a message when the bill arrives is enough. Our Yorkville and Midtown car service page covers the neighbourhood in more detail, and the post on Yorkville restaurants and dinner drop-off lists practical stopping points.
Hotels for NXNE and Yorkville weekends
Out-of-town festival guests usually stay downtown near the venues or in Yorkville for the shopping and dining. Our page on Yorkville hotels covers transfers to and from the neighbourhood's hotels, and Entertainment District hotels are the shortest ride from the west-end club strips. Our travel desk books rooms, flights and packages if you are coming in for the festival, and the chauffeur can collect you from Pearson or Union Station on arrival and stay with you for the first night.
Arriving at Pearson for NXNE
Toronto Pearson is about 27 km from downtown, typically 25 to 45 minutes in the evening and longer in Friday rush hour. Your chauffeur tracks the flight and waits in the pre-arranged pickup area on the arrivals curb; meet and greet inside arrivals with a name board is an optional add-on at booking. Included waiting is 30 minutes after landing on Canadian domestic and U.S. flights and 60 minutes on other international arrivals. Artists flying in with instruments should tell us the case sizes so we send a vehicle that fits. See Pearson airport limo for how airport pickups work.
Which vehicle for a festival night?
minimum, which is more about the occasion than getting through Queen West traffic quickly.
- Two people, dinner and shows: a business sedan or the electric Tesla Model Y.
- An executive or artist who wants privacy: the first-class sedan.
- Up to six with a guitar or two: a business SUV.
- A band, crew or label team of up to twelve: the Sprinter luxury van.
- A celebration night with friends: a stretch limousine from a partner operator, four-hour
Ride-hailing, TTC or a chauffeur?
Toronto's TTC streetcars run along Queen and King and are a sensible way to hop between nearby venues if you are travelling light. Ride-hailing works for a single short ride. The chauffeur wins when you are moving several times in one night, travelling as a group, carrying gear, heading to Yorkville or the suburbs late, or simply want a car that is already waiting when you step out at two in the morning. On busy June weekends, surge pricing and long waits for app rides are common around venue exits; a booked hourly car avoids both because the fare is fixed in advance.
How many hours should I book?
Festival nights run long. A dinner plus two showcases usually needs four to five hours; a full venue-hopping night from 7 p.m. to after midnight needs six or more. The minimum is three hours for sedans, SUVs, vans and Sprinters (four for stretch limousines), and you can extend in 30-minute blocks by messaging the chauffeur. If you are unsure, book the realistic duration rather than the minimum: running out of booked time at 12:30 a.m. with one more set to see is the most common regret we hear.
NXNE for industry: meetings by day, showcases by night
NXNE has always included a conference and industry side, and many visitors split their days between panels, label meetings and evening showcases. A private chauffeur turns that schedule into one day-long booking: hotel to conference in the morning, lunch in Yorkville, a studio visit across town, and the venues at night. For teams, the private chauffeur service keeps one vehicle on standby, and our corporate car service handles monthly billing for agencies and labels that send people every year.

A Yorkville shopping afternoon with a waiting car
Not every Yorkville booking is a night out. Visitors often book three or four hours for Bloor Street and the side streets of the village: the chauffeur drops you at the first boutique, holds the shopping bags in the locked car, and moves you between stores, galleries and a late lunch without anyone carrying parcels along the sidewalk. Our Yorkville shopping page covers the neighbourhood's main streets and the best places for a short stop. Combine it with an evening reservation and the same car takes you to dinner and home again, or to the airport for a late flight.
Other June festivals and nights downtown
NXNE overlaps with a busy stretch of Toronto's calendar. Pride Toronto usually falls in June with major downtown road closures, and the Toronto Jazz Festival brings its own evening crowds. Later in the year, TIFF in September turns Yorkville and King Street into red-carpet territory. The full calendar is on our events page, and Destination Toronto's visitor site lists what else is on during your stay.
Safety, late nights and getting everyone home
The last part of the night matters most. Your chauffeur confirms the final drop-offs before the night starts, keeps the car nearby for the last hour, and waits until each passenger is inside before driving on. Lost phones and jackets come back with the car: tell dispatch the next morning and we will arrange the return. Chauffeurs never pick up anyone not on the booking, and the person who booked can change the plan by message at any time.
What does the fare include?
The reservation engine shows a fixed, all-in fare before you confirm: chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, gratuity and any fees, with HST shown separately. The fare changes with the vehicle class, the number of hours, the pickup and drop-off addresses, and the date, since festival weekends book up first. No surge, no meter. Cancellation follows the sitewide rule: free more than 72 hours out, 10 per cent at 72 hours or less, 50 per cent at 48 hours or less, and the full fare at 24 hours or less or on a no-show.
