A One of a Kind Show car service from TorontoBlackLimousine.com drops you at the Enercare Centre at Exhibition Place, where the show's own directions name the Hall D entrance for vehicle drop-off, then waits or returns for you and your purchases. The venue is about 4 km, 10–20 minutes, from Union Station and about 24 km, 25–40 minutes, from Pearson. Book your show car and see the fixed fare first.
What is the One of a Kind Show, and why go by car?
It is Toronto's big makers' market: independent artists, designers, craftspeople and food producers selling directly to shoppers in the halls of the Enercare Centre. Visitors walk for hours, buy far more than they planned, and leave with bags, framed prints, ceramics and gift boxes. That is exactly the moment a car is worth having. A One of a Kind Show car service means your chauffeur meets you at the drop-off, holds the first round of shopping in the trunk if you step out mid-visit, and drives everything home in one trip. Most guests book the hourly chauffeur service in Toronto so the car is there whenever they finish.
When is the One of a Kind Show held?
There are usually two editions: a larger Christmas show that runs from late November into early December, and a shorter spring show, usually in April. For 2026 the organisers list the spring show as 9 to 12 April and the Christmas show as 27 November to 6 December. Hours differ by day, and dates change from year to year, so check the One of a Kind Show site before you book. We plan the car around your visit time, not around a date we have assumed.
Where is the show, and how far is it?
At the Enercare Centre at Exhibition Place, 100 Princes' Boulevard, on the lakeshore west of downtown. These are planning figures for typical traffic:
| From | Distance to Enercare Centre | Typical drive time |
|---|---|---|
| Union Station / Financial District | about 4 km | 10–20 min |
| Yorkville & midtown | about 7 km | 15–25 min |
| Toronto Pearson (YYZ) | about 24 km | 25–40 min |
| Etobicoke | about 14 km | 15–30 min |
| Mississauga | about 27 km | 25–40 min |
| North York | about 18 km | 25–40 min |
| Oakville | about 35 km | 30–45 min |
| Markham | about 35 km | 35–50 min |
Late-afternoon traffic on the Gardiner and Lake Shore can stretch these times, especially on weekdays in December. The reservation engine quotes the exact fixed fare for your address, time and vehicle before you confirm.
Where does the car drop you off at the Enercare Centre?
The show's own getting-here page says vehicles can drop off at the Hall D entrance, and that drivers reach Exhibition Place from Lake Shore Boulevard West using Ontario Drive or Newfoundland Drive; the Princes' Gates are closed to vehicles. Our chauffeurs follow that guidance and the venue's on-site signs on the day. If other events share the grounds, staff may redirect traffic, and the chauffeur will text you the exact stopping point. For the latest details, check the show site and the Exhibition Place site before you travel.
How does pickup work when you are finished?
Message the chauffeur when you head for the exit. The car comes from its waiting spot to the agreed pickup point, usually the same entrance you used on arrival, and the chauffeur loads your bags. On the final weekend of the Christmas show, everyone leaves at closing time and the grounds' roads can back up; leaving thirty minutes before closing, or staying for a later pickup, avoids the worst of it. With an hourly booking the car is already on site, so the timing is yours.
Why keep the chauffeur by the hour?
Because shopping takes as long as it takes. Some visitors cover the show in two hours; many stay for four or more and stop for lunch inside. An hourly booking (3-hour minimum for sedans, SUVs and Sprinters, extra time in 30-minute blocks) keeps the car and the trunk available for the whole visit. You can walk out with the first armful, drop it in the car and go back in. Our private chauffeur page explains how the as-directed format works.
Can we combine the show with other errands?
Yes, and December is when guests do it most. A typical day starts with the show, continues to the Eaton Centre or Yorkville shopping, adds a lunch, and ends at the Distillery Winter Village after dark. One chauffeur, one booking, and every bag stays in the car between stops. Tell us the plan at booking and we will suggest an order that avoids the worst downtown traffic.
Which vehicle suits a day at the show?
- One or two shoppers: a business sedan; for large framed art, consider an SUV for the cargo space.
- Up to six, or lots of bulky purchases: an SUV (Yukon XL or Suburban) or a premier luxury SUV.
- Office or club outings of seven to twelve: the Executive Sprinter or the Sprinter luxury van.
- Larger groups: a partner coach, priced in writing by a coordinator.
Is GO Transit an easier way to get to the show?
For some visitors, yes. Exhibition GO station sits right beside the grounds on the Lakeshore lines, and the show itself promotes GO Transit as a way to arrive; the TTC also serves Exhibition Place. For a solo shopper with a small bag, transit is honest advice. A car is better when you are carrying framed art or several large boxes, when you are coming from a suburb far from a GO line, when the weather is bad, or when you are taking an older relative who should not walk the length of the grounds.
What about parking at Exhibition Place?
There is underground and surface parking at the grounds, at the venue's own rates, and it fills on busy show days. With a chauffeur you skip the search for a space, the walk from the far end of a lot and the queue to pay on the way out. The car waits away from the busiest areas and comes to the door when you call. That is often the difference between a relaxed day and a frustrating one in December.
Is a group trip to the One of a Kind Show easy to arrange?
Yes. Book clubs, offices and craft guilds often visit together, and a Sprinter keeps the group together from the first pickup to the last drop. We can collect from several addresses in a planned loop, or from one meeting point such as an office lobby or a GO station. For corporate gifting trips, the company can be invoiced. For bigger outings, see our page on Sprinter group transportation.
What time of day is best to visit by car?
Weekday mornings are usually the quietest on the show floor and on the roads around Exhibition Place, once the morning rush on the Gardiner has eased. Weekend afternoons and the final days of the Christmas show are the busiest, inside and out. If you can choose, a mid-morning pickup with a three-hour booking gives you a relaxed visit and gets you home before the late-afternoon slowdown along the lakeshore. Evening visits work well too, and the chauffeur makes the dark walk to a far parking lot unnecessary.
Can we visit the show and the Royal Winter Fair on the same trip?
Exhibition Place hosts several big events through the autumn, and some years their dates sit close together. If two events overlap on the grounds, traffic and drop-off patterns change, so check both official sites and tell us which hall you are visiting. Our Royal Agricultural Winter Fair page covers that event's transport, and the same chauffeur can take you between halls and on to dinner if you book enough hours.
What does the chauffeur do while you shop?
The chauffeur parks in a permitted spot away from the busiest entrances, stays with the vehicle, keeps it warm or cool, and watches for your message. Purchases left in the car stay locked inside. When you are ready, the car comes back to the agreed door, the chauffeur loads the bags and you are on your way. If you want to stop for something on the way home, an hourly booking simply continues; there is no new fare to arrange.
Winter driving and the Christmas show
Late November and early December bring the first snow and freezing rain, short days and slow lakeshore traffic. Our cars run winter tires from November to April, and the chauffeur keeps the car warm while you shop. If you are travelling in from outside Toronto, check Ontario 511 before leaving. A car also keeps fragile purchases out of the cold and wet, which matters for paintings, candles and food gifts.
Coming from out of town for the show?
Plenty of shoppers make a weekend of it. We pick up curbside at Pearson with flight tracking and included waiting, then drive you to a hotel downtown or near the lakeshore; our waterfront hotels and Entertainment District hotels guides list good bases close to Exhibition Place. Arriving by train? Union Station is about 10 to 20 minutes away by car. The travel desk can arrange flights and rooms if you are planning the whole trip.
Getting purchases home to the airport
If you are flying home after the show, the chauffeur can take you straight from Exhibition Place to Pearson with your new purchases in the trunk. Pack fragile pieces in the carry-on where possible, and ask makers to wrap them well. Our downtown Toronto to Pearson page has more on the airport run, including timing for Terminals 1 and 3.
Accessibility at the Enercare Centre
The halls are large, and a full visit means a lot of walking. Tell us at booking if anyone in your party has limited mobility; the chauffeur will use the nearest permitted drop-off point and help at the door. We have a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, available when booked in advance; for guests who can transfer to a seat, the chauffeur folds and stows wheelchairs and walkers. Tell us about the wheelchair or scooter at booking so that vehicle is reserved.
