Ajax to Pearson airport is about 62 km and 45–65 minutes by car; Pickering to Pearson is about 55 km and 40–60 minutes, via Highway 401 or the 407 ETR and the 427. Downtown Toronto is about 40 km from Pickering. TorontoBlackLimousine.com runs pre-booked limo and black car service both ways and shows the fixed all-in fare before you confirm. Book your Pickering or Ajax car direct.
How far is it from Ajax to Pearson airport, and from Pickering?
Pearson sits on the far side of the city from Durham Region, so the drive crosses almost the whole width of Toronto. These are the planning figures our dispatchers work from; the reservation engine measures your exact address.
| Trip | Distance | Typical drive time |
|---|---|---|
| Central Ajax to Toronto Pearson (YYZ) | about 62 km | 45–65 min |
| Pickering City Centre to Pearson | about 55 km | 40–60 min |
| Seaton or Duffin Heights to Pearson (407 option) | about 55 km | 40–55 min |
| Pickering to downtown Toronto (Union Station area) | about 40 km | 30–45 min |
| Ajax to downtown Toronto | about 45 km | 35–50 min |
| Pickering to Billy Bishop (YTZ) | about 42 km | 35–50 min |
| Pickering to Oshawa Executive Airport (YOO) | about 25 km | 20–30 min |
| Pickering to the Toronto Zoo | about 15 km | 15–20 min |
Rush hour matters more on this side of the city than anywhere else we drive, because the 401 carries commuters west in the morning and east in the evening.
Which route does an Ajax or Pickering airport limo use?
Two lines compete. The first is the 401 west through Scarborough and North York, using the express lanes where they move, then the 427 or Highway 409 into the airport. The second is the 407 ETR, picked up north of Pickering and followed across the top of the city to the 427. The 407 is tolled; when we use it the toll is already inside your fixed fare, and on weekday mornings it often saves 15 minutes or more. Our dispatchers check Ontario 511 before each departure and the chauffeur adjusts on the road. Whatever the route, the fare you confirmed does not change.
Who provides limo service in Ajax and Pickering?
TorontoBlackLimousine.com runs limo service in Ajax and Pickering from its Toronto dispatch desk, with its own chauffeurs and cars. Durham families fly often, and a pre-booked car is the practical answer to a long trip across the city: no week of airport parking, no hunting for a ride after a red-eye, and a fixed fare agreed in advance. We also run the everyday Durham bookings: commutes into Toronto's Financial District on days with early meetings, evenings at the casino, games and concerts downtown, and weddings along the lakeshore. Every trip starts on our reservation engine, and any trip can switch to the hourly chauffeur when the day has several stops.
Which Pickering and Ajax neighbourhoods do you cover?
Every one of them, from the lake to the rural north. Our most frequent pickups are in:
- Bay Ridges and West Shore: the lakeside streets around Frenchman's Bay and the Pickering waterfront.
- Pickering City Centre: the condos and offices near the town centre mall and Pickering GO station.
- Liverpool, Amberlea, Dunbarton and Highbush: established family neighbourhoods either side of the 401.
- Brock Ridge, Duffin Heights and Seaton: newer communities in north Pickering, closest to the 407.
- Claremont and rural north Pickering: hamlets and farms where a fire number and driveway note help.
- South Ajax and Pickering Village: the waterfront and the historic village core along Kingston Road in Ajax.
- Central and north Ajax: the subdivisions around Harwood Avenue, Salem Road and Taunton Road.
The City of Pickering and the Town of Ajax both post road closures and events worth checking.
Where do I meet my chauffeur at Pearson for the ride home to Durham?
At the pre-arranged pickup area on the arrivals level of Terminal 1 or Terminal 3, which Toronto Pearson explains on its pre-arranged services page; your booking tells you which terminal your airline uses. We track the flight, so early and late landings are handled without a call. Included waiting runs from actual landing: 30 minutes on Canadian domestic and US flights, 60 minutes on other international arrivals. When you have your bags, message the chauffeur and the car pulls to the curb. Meet & greet inside the arrivals hall, with a name board, is available as an add-on at booking. Our Pearson terminal pickup guide walks through each step.

Can you take us to Pickering Casino Resort or Casino Ajax?
Yes, both are local runs. Pickering Casino Resort stands beside Highway 401 in Pickering, and Casino Ajax is at the Ajax Downs racetrack; each is only minutes from most addresses in the two towns, and about 40–45 km from downtown Toronto. For a night out, the hourly chauffeur is the natural booking: dinner, the gaming floor or a show, then a ride home whenever the group is ready. We also drive further afield to the Great Blue Heron Casino near Port Perry, roughly 45 km north. Casino guests must be 19 or older, and PlaySmart has responsible-gambling information. Our Pickering casino car service post has more on timing.
When is an hourly chauffeur better than a one-way car from Pickering or Ajax?
As soon as the car has to wait or make several stops, hourly wins. Durham examples we see every week: a family day at the Toronto Zoo, 15 minutes away, followed by dinner; a senior parent's appointments at hospitals in Toronto with waiting in between; a group heading downtown for a concert where the finish time is unknown; an executive with meetings at the Financial District, a client lunch in Yorkville and an evening flight from Pearson, all in one car. The chauffeur stays with you and keeps the car close, and your bags and shopping stay aboard. The minimum is three hours in a sedan, SUV, van or Sprinter, then 30-minute blocks. See our hourly versus point to point guide.
Which vehicle suits a Pickering or Ajax airport run?
Choose by passengers and bags. A business sedan or the electric Tesla Model Y takes two passengers and two large suitcases; the first-class sedan does the same in a Mercedes S-Class. Families flying for a holiday usually need an SUV or premier luxury SUV, which seat six with room for four large bags. Sports teams and extended families heading to Pearson together travel best in an executive Sprinter or the 12-seat Sprinter luxury van. The reservation engine only lists vehicles that fit what you enter. Child seats (infant, convertible or booster) are available at booking.
What attractions near Pickering and Ajax do you drive to?
Durham's west end is close to some of the region's best outdoor spaces. Rouge National Urban Park runs along the Toronto–Pickering boundary, and the Toronto Zoo sits at its edge. Frenchman's Bay, the Ajax waterfront and Petticoat Creek give lakeside walks and picnics within minutes of home. In summer, beach and trail days are popular as short hourly bookings, and in winter, the drive into downtown for holiday markets and shows is the common request. For wider ideas across the region, Durham Tourism keeps an events calendar. Wherever you go, the chauffeur handles the drop-off at the gate and waits nearby.

Can I take the GO train from Pickering or Ajax to the airport?
You can, with a change. Pickering and Ajax stations are on GO Transit's Lakeshore East line into Union Station, and from Union, UP Express reaches Pearson Terminal 1 in about 28 minutes. That works for a solo traveller with light luggage on a weekday. It is much less convenient for families, for Terminal 3 departures, for heavy bags and for flights that leave before the first trains; the whole journey involves two trains, a transfer at Union and the full length of the city. A car goes door to door in 40–65 minutes. Check GO Transit for current schedules, and see our UP Express versus limo guide.
Do you pick up at Guildwood or Union for VIA Rail trips?
Yes. Durham travellers heading to Montreal, Ottawa or Kingston by VIA often board at Guildwood station in Scarborough, about 20 km from Pickering, or at Union Station downtown. We run the drop-off and the return pickup, tracking the train and waiting 15 minutes after its actual arrival. Our post on Guildwood parking and pickups explains why many travellers skip the lot. For a longer trip east, a car can also do the whole journey: the Toronto to Kingston route passes straight through Pickering and Ajax on the 401.
Where do visitors to Pickering and Ajax stay?
Durham's hotels cluster near the 401 interchanges in Pickering, Ajax and Whitby, with newer rooms around the Pickering casino and entertainment district. Visiting families, sports teams and wedding guests often base themselves here for easy access to both Toronto and the rest of Durham. Our Pickering, Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa hotels page lists the main hotel areas with drive times to Pearson and Union Station. We collect from any front drive; include the guest's name and the hotel in the booking notes. For events, a Sprinter can shuttle guests between hotel and venue to a timetable you set.
Can we book an Ajax or Pickering limo for a wedding or prom?
Yes. Lakeside parks, golf clubs and banquet halls across Pickering and Ajax host weddings most summer weekends, and we plan transport around the ceremony, photos and reception. Our own fleet provides the couple's car (a first-class sedan or luxury SUV) and Sprinters for the wedding party and guests. Stretch limousines and party buses come from vetted partner operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network, priced in writing by a coordinator. For proms, parents usually choose a Sprinter with a professional chauffeur and a clear no-alcohol rule. See our wedding limo page and prom limo page, and book early for June.
What does the fare include, and why is there no price on this page?
Every Durham address, date and vehicle produces a different fare, so we show the exact figure on the reservation engine instead of printing numbers that would be wrong for most readers. The fare is fixed and all-in: chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, 407 ETR tolls if used, airport fees and gratuity, with HST shown separately. There is no surge and no meter, which matters on a 60 km run through Toronto traffic. The fare changes with the vehicle class, the distance and time, extra stops, waiting beyond the allowance, the date and season, and the three-hour minimum for hourly work. Meet & greet and child seats are available at booking. See how our fares work.
How early should I leave Pickering or Ajax for a Pearson flight?
Earlier than from most of the GTA, because the drive crosses the city. For a domestic flight, leave about three hours before departure; for US and long-haul flights, three and a half to four hours. Weekday mornings between 6:30 and 9:30 on the westbound 401 are the biggest variable, followed by Friday afternoons and snow. Very early departures are easier: at 4 a.m. the drive is usually at the short end of the range. The dispatcher checks every pickup time against the flight, the day and the forecast and will suggest an earlier start if the plan looks tight.
