Yorkdale Shopping Centre is at 3401 Dufferin Street, where Highway 401 meets Allen Road, about 14 km (20 to 35 minutes) from Union Station and about 20 km (20 to 35 minutes) from Toronto Pearson (YYZ). TorontoBlackLimousine.com provides a car service to Yorkdale one way or with an hourly chauffeur (3-hour minimum) who waits and handles the bags. Book your Yorkdale car.
Car service to Yorkdale Shopping Centre: the short version
A car service to Yorkdale Shopping Centre is one of the most requested city runs on our dispatch board. Yorkdale calls itself Canada's centre of style, home to the country's largest collection of luxury brands among roughly 270 stores, anchored by Holt Renfrew and Simons (yorkdale.com). It is not downtown, and the 401 is on its doorstep, so parking and traffic decide how pleasant the day is. You can book a single drop and take the subway home, or keep a private chauffeur in Toronto by the hour: the car waits nearby, the chauffeur takes the bags at each check-in, and dinner or a hotel stop follows without a new booking. The reservation engine shows the fixed fare first.
Distance and drive time to Yorkdale
Typical planning figures; the reservation engine quotes your exact trip.
| From | Route | Distance | Typical drive |
|---|---|---|---|
| Union Station / Fairmont Royal York | University Ave, Spadina, Allen Road | about 14 km | 20 to 35 min |
| Yorkville (The Hazelton area) | Avenue Road or Spadina, Allen Road | about 9 km | 15 to 25 min |
| North York Centre (Novotel Toronto North York area) | Sheppard Ave, Allen Road or 401 | about 7 km | 12 to 20 min |
| Toronto Pearson (YYZ), Terminal 1 or 3 | Highway 401 east | about 20 km | 20 to 35 min |
| Billy Bishop Airport (YTZ) | Bathurst, Spadina, Allen Road | about 15 km | 25 to 40 min |
| Vaughan Mills | Highway 400, 401 | about 20 km | 20 to 30 min |
| Square One (Mississauga) | Highway 403, 401 | about 30 km | 30 to 45 min |
The 401 is the variable. At rush hour the Allen Road route from downtown is often faster than going up the Don Valley and across.
The 401 and Allen Road: what the chauffeur watches for
Yorkdale is boxed in by some of the busiest roads in the country. Highway 401 runs along the north side with collector and express lanes, and the Allen Road runs south from it towards downtown, ending at Eglinton Avenue. Yorkdale's plan-your-visit page puts the centre off Highway 401 and Allen Road, reached also by TTC subway, buses and GO Transit (yorkdale.com). For our chauffeurs the traps are the Allen's merge at Lawrence Avenue at rush hour, lane closures on the 401 collectors, and Saturday queues at the Dufferin Street entrances. We check conditions on Ontario 511 before dispatch and choose the approach accordingly. From Pearson the drive is almost all 401; the chauffeur takes the collectors early to avoid being trapped in the express lanes past the exit.
Valet, curbside drop-off and pickup at Yorkdale
According to Yorkdale's own site, curbside valet is on the south side of the centre near Holt Renfrew, and ride-share services have dedicated pick-up areas shown on the mall map. A TorontoBlackLimousine.com chauffeur works like a personal driver rather than a ride-share: at booking you tell us your first stop and we agree a main entrance for the drop. While you shop, the car waits in a legal spot close by; the chauffeur does not sit in the valet lane. When you are ready, you send a message naming the entrance and the car pulls up within a few minutes. On busy Saturdays and in December, we usually fix one meeting entrance for the whole visit to save everyone time. We do not print gate or door numbers, because Yorkdale's layout and signage can change with renovations.

How much time does a Yorkdale visit take?
A focused luxury visit, two or three flagships and a coffee, is about two hours inside, and with the drive from downtown both ways it fits the 3-hour hourly minimum. A full day with lunch at one of the centre's 50-plus places to dine, a fitting and some browsing is four to five hours. Shoppers with personal-shopping appointments booked at several stores should allow five or six hours and share the appointment times with dispatch, so the chauffeur can do a bag run to the hotel in the middle of the day if needed. Store hours vary and holiday closures differ from Square One's, so check Yorkdale's site before setting the return time; extra hourly time is added in 30-minute blocks.
When are the busiest days at Yorkdale?
Saturday afternoons, the pre-Christmas weekends and Boxing Week are the peak, and the 401 is heaviest on weekday late afternoons in both directions. Weekday mornings are the easiest time to be dropped at the door and walk straight into the stores. Yorkdale's 2026 holiday schedule, checked on its site today, lists the centre as closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day and open early on Boxing Day, so plan around those dates. Rainy and snowy days fill the parking decks early, which is exactly when a car that drops you at the door saves the most time.
Hourly itinerary: Yorkdale, Casa Loma and a Yorkville dinner
A midtown day our dispatchers plan often, with km and time between the stops:
- 10:30 pickup in Yorkville, then Avenue Road and the Allen to Yorkdale: about 9 km, 15 to 25 minutes.
- Yorkdale from 11:00 to 14:00 with lunch; the chauffeur collects the first bags at noon.
- Yorkdale to Casa Loma for the castle and gardens: about 8 km, 15 to 25 minutes via the Allen and Spadina Road.
- Casa Loma to a Yorkville restaurant for an early dinner: about 2 km, 5 to 10 minutes.
- Yorkville to the hotel on Bloor Street or back to the Financial District: 1 to 5 km, 5 to 15 minutes.
That is about seven and a half hours with roughly 25 km of city driving and not one parking ticket.
North loop: Yorkdale, Vaughan Mills and Black Creek
For families, the day often heads north instead. From Yorkdale it is about 20 km and 20 to 30 minutes up Highway 400 to Vaughan Mills, home of the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre (see LEGOLAND and Vaughan Mills). On the way back, Black Creek Pioneer Village near York University is about 12 km from Vaughan Mills, 15 to 20 minutes, and about 10 km from Yorkdale. Canada's Wonderland is a little further north again. A six- to eight-hour hourly booking in an SUV covers the whole loop with child seats fitted, and the chauffeur can drop the morning's Yorkdale bags at a North York or Vaughan hotel as you pass. Our North York and Vaughan hotels page covers those pickups.
Yorkdale on the way to or from Pearson
Because Yorkdale sits on the 401 between Pearson and midtown, it is a natural first or last stop. Arriving travellers are met curbside at Pearson's pre-arranged pickup area (torontopearson.com) after the flight lands (30 minutes' included waiting after a Canadian or US flight, 60 after other international flights), and the luggage stays in the trunk while you shop. Departing travellers often spend a final morning at Yorkdale and leave for Terminal 1 or 3 in the early afternoon; the chauffeur builds in extra time for the 401 westbound. Allow at least three hours at Pearson before an international departure. The full airport routine is on our Pearson airport limo page, and our Pearson terminal guide explains T1 and T3.
From downtown and Yorkville hotels
Guests in the Financial District and around Union Station are about 14 km from Yorkdale; guests in Yorkville are closer, about 9 km. Our Yorkville hotels and Financial District hotels pages describe the pickup routine at the front drives there. For downtown guests the chauffeur waits under the hotel canopy or at the front drive, loads any empty suitcases you have brought for the purchases, and uses the Allen Road route to avoid the Don Valley Parkway. At the end of the day the bags go straight to the room with the bell staff. If you are staying near the Eaton Centre, the downtown Yonge hotels page covers those pickups.
Personal shopping appointments and VIP visits
Yorkdale's luxury houses often work by appointment for private clients, and those visits need a car that is on time and discreet. For a VIP, a stylist or a visiting executive, book a first-class sedan or a premier luxury SUV, and put the appointment times and the client's name for the store in the booking notes. The chauffeur arrives early, keeps the car unbranded and quiet, and can move between Yorkdale and the Bloor Street flagships during the same booking. For red-carpet or security-conscious arrivals, our VIP and event transportation team coordinates timings with your assistant. We never share client names with anyone outside dispatch.

Shopping, then a game or a show downtown
Visitors who come to Toronto for a game or a concert often spend the day at Yorkdale first. The chauffeur drops you at the mall, collects you in the late afternoon, takes the bags to the hotel and delivers you to the Rogers Centre for a Blue Jays game, to Scotiabank Arena for the Leafs, the Raptors or a concert, or to a show in the Theatre District. Kept by the hour, the same car waits for the final whistle or curtain and brings you home. On game nights the downtown streets around the venues close and fill, so the chauffeur agrees a pickup point a block or two away and messages it to you.
Subway, rideshare or a private car?
Yorkdale is on TTC Line 1 with its own station, and it has buses and GO service (TTC), so a solo shopper with little to carry can reach it easily by transit. The subway gets crowded at rush hour, though, and carrying several large bags back downtown on it is hard work. A rideshare has a pick-up area, but on a December Saturday the wait and the surge can both climb. A private chauffeur is the better choice for groups, families, heavy shopping, airport connections, several stops or a fixed evening plan. If you only need one leg, a point-to-point booking for the return with the bags is a sensible middle way.
Which car for a Yorkdale trip?
One or two shoppers are comfortable in a business sedan or the electric Tesla Model Y. With more bags or more people, choose an SUV, which seats six and has space for garment bags and boxes. Groups of up to seven who want to talk on the way, a bridal party shopping for the wedding or a corporate team out for gifts, fit well in the Executive Sprinter; larger groups take the 12-seat Sprinter. Stretch limousines and party buses come from vetted partner operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network and suit celebrations rather than serious shopping.
What does a Yorkdale car service include?
Every fare is fixed before you confirm: the chauffeur, the car, fuel, highway tolls when the 407 ETR is used, airport fees on Pearson pickups and the gratuity; HST is shown separately. There is no meter or surge. The amount depends on the vehicle class, the distance and time, extra stops, waiting beyond the included allowance, the date, and for hourly bookings the 3-hour minimum. We publish no prices; the exact fixed fare for your addresses appears instantly at /book/, and our guide to what sets a Toronto limo fare explains the factors.

If the shopping is part of a longer visit, our travel desk can arrange flights into Pearson or Billy Bishop and a hotel in Yorkville, North York or downtown through BookingWorldwide.net, with the chauffeur booked around the same dates.
