To book a wedding limo in Toronto, fix the ceremony and reception addresses, count passengers per vehicle, then build a timeline backwards from the ceremony. Choose vehicles (stretch limousine, luxury SUV, Sprinter or coach), book months ahead for Saturdays in season, and check the cancellation terms. The wedding limo cost depends on vehicles, hours and distance; see the fixed fare in our reservation engine.
How to book a wedding limo: the steps in order
Most couples start by asking about price, but a quote is only accurate once a few decisions are made. Work through them in this order and the booking takes minutes:
- Fix the addresses: getting-ready locations, ceremony, photo stops, reception, hotel.
- Count the people: who rides in which car, at what time.
- Draft the timeline: start at the ceremony time and work backwards and forwards.
- Choose the vehicles: one per group, plus the couple's car if wanted.
- Check the date: Saturdays in wedding season go first.
- Book and confirm: single vehicles online; multi-vehicle plans with a coordinator.
- Reconfirm the week before: final times, contacts and any changes.
This guide follows those steps. For the vehicles and services themselves, see our Toronto wedding limo service.
When should you start looking for a wedding limo?
As soon as the date and venues are booked. Stretch limousines and classic cars are the scarcest vehicles in the Toronto market, and Saturdays from late spring to early autumn are the busiest days of the year for them. Long weekends and fall colour season add pressure, and a reception in Niagara-on-the-Lake or Muskoka means the car is away from the city for longer.
There is little downside to booking early with us. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before the pickup time, so a confirmed booking holds the vehicle without locking you in months ahead. Smaller adjustments, such as an extra half-hour or a changed photo stop, can usually be made up to the final reconfirmation.
Which details do you need before booking?
Dispatch will ask the same questions every time, so have the answers ready:
- The wedding date and the time of the ceremony.
- Every address, in order, with names of the venues.
- How many people ride in each car at each stage.
- Who the day-of contact is (often the planner or a sibling), with a phone number.
- Whether anyone uses a wheelchair or walker, or needs a child seat.
- Whether you want a separate car for the couple's exit.
- Any guests flying in who need airport pickups.
With that list, the timeline almost writes itself. Without it, quotes are guesses.
How do you build a wedding day transport timeline?
Anchor everything to the ceremony start. Work backwards to the getting-ready pickup, adding the real drive time plus a buffer, and forwards to photos and the reception. Loading a wedding party into a car always takes longer than anyone expects: dresses, bouquets, a forgotten ring box. Build in that time.
A Toronto example, for a midtown ceremony and a downtown reception:
| Time | Step | Vehicle |
|---|---|---|
| 1:15 pm | Chauffeur arrives at the getting-ready address; car staged for photos | Stretch limousine |
| 1:45 pm | Depart for the ceremony (about 5 km, 10–20 min) | Stretch limousine |
| 2:30 pm | Ceremony begins | — |
| 3:30 pm | Wedding party to the photo location | Stretch limousine |
| 5:00 pm | Arrive at the reception | Stretch limousine |
| 11:30 pm | The couple's exit to their hotel | First-class sedan |
That afternoon is about four hours of stretch time, the 4-hour minimum, plus a separate sedan for the late exit.

Which vehicle should we book for each part of the day?
Match the vehicle to the group, not to a package. Our reservation engine lists these classes, all bookable by the hour:
- Stretch limousine seating 8, 10, 14 or 18: the classic bridal-party car, 4-hour minimum.
- Premier luxury SUV for up to six: parents, a small wedding party, winter weddings.
- First-class sedan for two: the couple's getaway car.
- Sprinter luxury van for twelve: groomsmen, family groups, small guest shuttles.
- Party bus for 20 or 30, and coach for 55: big parties and guest shuttles.
Our own dispatch runs the sedans, SUVs and Sprinters. Stretch limousines, party buses, coaches and Rolls-Royce or Maybach cars come from vetted partner operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network, and we say which at booking.
How many hours should the booking be?
Stretch limousines have a 4-hour minimum; sedans, SUVs, vans and Sprinters 3 hours; party buses 4 to 5 hours. Extra time is added in 30-minute blocks. A compact city wedding usually fits within four or five hours of stretch time. A ceremony in Toronto with a reception in King City, Caledon or Niagara-on-the-Lake can stretch to seven or eight hours because of the driving alone.
Splitting the day often makes more sense than one long block: the stretch for the afternoon, then a sedan booked separately for the couple's late exit. Our guide to hourly versus point-to-point service explains when each model fits.
What decides the wedding limo cost in Toronto?
We do not print figures, because no two wedding plans are the same. The wedding limo cost is decided by:
- The vehicle class and how many vehicles you need.
- The hours booked, against the minimum for each class.
- The distance between venues, especially out-of-town receptions.
- The date and season: peak Saturdays and holiday weekends are in highest demand.
- Extras such as meet and greet for airport guests or child seats, available at booking.
What the fare includes is fixed: chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, 407 ETR tolls if used, airport fees where they apply, and gratuity, with HST shown separately. The reservation engine at /book/ shows the exact fixed fare before you confirm. Read how our fares work for the full picture.
How do we book online, and when do we need a coordinator?
For one vehicle, book it yourself in the reservation engine: choose hourly service, the vehicle class, the date, the start time and the number of hours, then paste the timeline and addresses into the notes. The fixed fare appears before you confirm.
For two or more vehicles, guest shuttles on a schedule, or a party bus or coach, note "wedding, multi-vehicle" in the booking and a coordinator prices the whole day in writing. That written plan lists each vehicle, start and finish times and every address, so the planner, the photographer and the chauffeurs all work from the same page.
How far are popular venues from downtown and from Pearson?
Distance drives both the hours and the timeline. Planning figures:
| Wedding area | From downtown Toronto | From Pearson (YYZ) |
|---|---|---|
| Yorkville & Midtown | 5 km, 10–20 min | about 25 km, 25–40 min |
| Vaughan | 35 km, 30–45 min | about 20 km, 20–30 min |
| Markham | 35 km, 30–45 min | about 35 km, 30–45 min |
| Oakville | 38 km, 30–45 min | about 30 km, 25–35 min |
| King City | 45 km, 40–55 min | about 40 km, 35–50 min |
| Hamilton | 68 km, 50–75 min | about 60 km, 45–65 min |
| Niagara-on-the-Lake | 125 km, 85–105 min | about 120 km, 80–100 min |
Our city pages for Vaughan, King City and Niagara-on-the-Lake cover the local roads and venues.
Where can the car stop for wedding photos?
Most Toronto wedding photographers suggest a mix of architecture, greenery and water. In general terms: historic brick streets and laneways, a formal garden or ravine park, the waterfront, and the grounds of a landmark building. In spring, the cherry blossoms in High Park draw crowds; in autumn, ravines and parks are at their best.
Many sites have rules for professional photography, and some require a permit or booking, so confirm before you put them in the timeline. The City of Toronto sets rules for photography in its parks on its official site, and landmark properties such as Casa Loma manage photography on their grounds. The chauffeur stages the car where it can legally stop, which is not always where the photographer would like; allow time to walk.
What paperwork should be sorted besides transport?
The transport booking is not the legal part of the day. Ontario requires a marriage licence or the publication of banns and an authorized officiant; the province sets out the steps on its getting married page. Give the licence to someone in the first car, so it travels with the ceremony party.
From our side, the booking confirmation and the written timeline are the documents that matter. Share them with the planner, and make sure the day-of contact has the dispatch number from the confirmation.
How do we arrange cars for guests flying in?
Book airport pickups as separate trips, not as part of the stretch booking: a stretch limousine is the wrong car for luggage. Toronto Pearson (YYZ) is about 27 km and 25–45 minutes from downtown. Every airport pickup includes flight tracking, with 30 minutes of waiting on Canadian and US flights and 60 minutes on other international arrivals, and curbside pickup at the designated pre-arranged area; meet and greet inside arrivals with a name board is available at booking.
For a large guest list arriving across a weekend, a coordinator can schedule Sprinter runs from Pearson to the hotel. Our travel desk can help guests with flights and hotel blocks, and our Pearson airport limo page has the arrival details.
What is the cancellation policy for wedding bookings?
The same sitewide policy applies to weddings, measured from the scheduled pickup time:
| When you cancel | Charge |
|---|---|
| More than 72 hours before pickup | No charge |
| 72 hours or less | 10 % of the fare |
| 48 hours or less | 50 % of the fare |
| 24 hours or less, or a no-show | 100 % of the fare |
If a date moves, tell us as early as possible; a booking moved more than 72 hours out is treated as a change rather than a late cancellation, subject to vehicle availability on the new date.
What should we confirm the week before the wedding?
Call or email dispatch with the final timeline. Confirm every address, the exact start time, the passenger count for each car, the day-of contact and any last changes to photo stops. Mention anything new: a grandparent who needs a walker stowed, a child seat for a flower girl, a late-night drop-off for parents.
Our cars take folding wheelchairs and walkers for passengers who can transfer to a seat; for anyone who must stay seated in a wheelchair or scooter, our wheelchair-accessible vehicle is available when booked in advance. Telling us early lets dispatch plan which car carries whom.
What happens on the day itself?
The chauffeur arrives early, checks the car, and reports to the day-of contact. Between stops the chauffeur waits with the vehicle, keeps the cabin at a comfortable temperature, carries umbrellas and helps with dresses at every door. If the schedule slips, the chauffeur adapts within the booked hours and calls dispatch before any extension, so nothing is added without the couple's or planner's agreement.
Alcohol is a common question, and the answer is simple: alcohol is not allowed in our vehicles, including partner stretch limousines and wedding shuttles, so the toasts happen at the venue. Ontario's drinking age is 19. The AGCO regulates liquor in Ontario.
Can we also book the rehearsal dinner, the honeymoon run and other occasions?
Yes, on the same account. Many couples book a sedan for the rehearsal dinner, an SUV for the morning-after brunch and a car to Pearson for the honeymoon flight. Through the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network the account also books chauffeured cars in more than 70 countries and 500 cities, so a car can meet you at the honeymoon airport.
