Sprinter van rental in Toronto at TorontoBlackLimousine.com always comes with a professional chauffeur; we never rent vans for self-drive. Choose the seven-seat Executive Sprinter lounge, the six-chair First-class Executive Sprinter (the VIP Jet Sprinter) or the twelve-seat Sprinter luxury van. Book one way or by the hour (three-hour minimum) and see the fixed fare in the reservation engine at /book/ before you confirm.
What does Sprinter van rental in Toronto include?
When people search for a Sprinter van rental they often picture picking up keys at a counter. Ours works differently: the van, the chauffeur, fuel, the tolls on the planned route and the gratuity travel together as one booking, and the reservation engine shows that fixed, all-in fare before you confirm. HST appears separately. Nobody in your group has to drive, find parking at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre or stay sober for the ride home.
All three Sprinter classes are our own vehicles, dispatched from Toronto by our own desk. You pick the class in the engine, choose one way or hourly, and add notes about luggage, child seats or timing. A Sprinter van limo is the right tool when a group should arrive together, talk on the way and keep its bags in one place. For the whole fleet at a glance, see our Toronto fleet; this page goes deep on the Sprinter alone.
Which Sprinter classes can I book in Toronto?
There are three, and each has a different job. The seat count is the number of belted seats for adults; the bag count is full-size checked cases.
| Sprinter class | Seats | Checked bags | Hourly minimum | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Executive Sprinter (lounge) | up to 7 | up to 7 | 3 h | Teams that talk, small wedding parties, wine days |
| First-class Executive Sprinter (VIP Jet Sprinter) | 6 captain's chairs | up to 6 | 3 h | Roadshows, talent, leadership offsites, intercity days |
| Sprinter luxury van | up to 12 | up to 12 | 3 h | Crews, delegations, airport groups, shuttles |
On the engine they appear as Executive Sprinter, First-class Executive Sprinter and Sprinter luxury van. If two classes seem to fit, choose the one whose seating suits the length of the trip: a forty-minute airport run is fine on any seat, a six-hour day is better in captain's chairs.
Is this a self-drive van hire or a chauffeured Sprinter?
Chauffeured, every time. TorontoBlackLimousine.com does not rent vans, cars or SUVs for customers to drive, and no booking on this site hands over keys. If you need a cargo van to move furniture or a self-drive passenger van for a road trip, a rental-car company is the right call; we are not.
What you get instead is a licensed, professional chauffeur who knows where the coach and limousine loading zones are at Union Station, how the Gardiner behaves on a Friday afternoon and which hotel driveways can take a vehicle of this length. The chauffeur loads the bags, handles the routing and waits for you. That is also why a chauffeured Sprinter is usually easier for a corporate travel policy: nobody on the team is driving a large vehicle in an unfamiliar city, and there is one booking, one receipt and one dispatch desk.
Can I hire a 12 seater van in Toronto?
Yes. The Sprinter luxury van is our twelve-seat class, and it is the one to choose when someone types "hire van 12 seater" with a group, a schedule and luggage in mind. Twelve passengers and up to twelve checked cases ride in one vehicle, which matters most at the Pearson curb: one van arriving at the pre-arranged pickup area is far simpler than three SUVs trying to find each other.
The twelve-seat van suits film and TV crews with equipment cases, a sports team heading to a tournament in Mississauga, a choir going to a festival, a wedding party moving between a church in Leaside and a reception in Vaughan, or a conference delegation shuttling between hotels and the convention centre. Count every traveller, including children, and add golf bags, strollers or instrument cases in the notes so dispatch can confirm the luggage plan.
Do you have a 15 passenger van or a 14 passenger van rental?
No, and we would rather say so than overbook. Our largest Sprinter class seats twelve. There is no fourteen-seat or fifteen-seat class on our reservation engine, so searches for "van hire 15 seater", "15 passenger van" or "14 passenger van rental" land on an honest answer: for thirteen or more people, we plan two vans or a coach.
Two Sprinters work well when a group splits naturally, for example executives and support staff, or a wedding party and the family. A 55-seat coach, available through our partner fleet of vetted operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network, suits larger delegations, tour groups and sports teams. Either way the whole movement stays on one file with TorontoBlackLimousine.com, and a coordinator confirms multi-vehicle and coach plans in writing before the day. If the group is celebrating rather than travelling, a party bus or a stretch limousine from the same partner fleet may suit the night better.

What is a Sprinter van limo, and what is the VIP Jet Sprinter?
"Sprinter van limo" is the everyday name for a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter whose passenger cabin has been rebuilt for comfort rather than cargo: higher-grade seats, mood lighting, privacy glass and standing headroom. It gives a group the feel of a limousine without the luggage problem of a stretch car.
The First-class Executive Sprinter is the top of that idea. Clients call it the VIP Jet Sprinter because six individual captain's chairs, work surfaces and space between seats feel closer to a private jet cabin than to a van. It is booked when the people inside matter as much as the trip: an investor roadshow, a touring artist and manager, or a board that wants to arrive at an offsite already briefed. The seven-seat Executive Sprinter keeps the lounge feel with one extra seat; pick it when headcount matters more than individual chairs.
Which Sprinter works best for a Pearson airport group pickup?
For a group landing at Toronto Pearson (YYZ), the deciding numbers are people and checked bags. Seven travellers with a case each fit the Executive Sprinter; up to twelve with a case each fit the Sprinter luxury van. We track the flight, and included waiting runs from actual landing: 30 minutes on Canadian domestic and US flights, 60 minutes on other international arrivals.
Pearson's own pre-arranged services page explains how pre-booked cars meet passengers: go to the designated area on the arrivals level and tell the dispatcher you are waiting for your ride. When we checked on 4 October 2026, the designated pickup area for pre-arranged taxis and limos was Door A at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Curbside pickup there is included; a chauffeur meeting the group inside arrivals with a name board is an add-on at booking, and it helps when a dozen people come through customs at different speeds. See our Toronto Pearson airport page for the terminal detail.
Can a Sprinter serve Billy Bishop airport?
Yes, with one practical note. Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) sits on the Toronto Island, and road vehicles pick up and drop off at the mainland pavilion on Eireann Quay at the foot of Bathurst Street, as the airport explains on its pick-up and drop-off page. Passengers then walk the pedestrian tunnel or take the short ferry.
A Sprinter is a good fit for a team arriving together on a morning flight for meetings in the Financial District, which is only about 3 to 5 km and 10 to 20 minutes away. Because the quay area is compact and busy around departure banks, the chauffeur plans the stop carefully and the group should be ready at the pavilion doors. For a full rundown of the island airport, see our Billy Bishop transfer page.
How far and how long are typical Sprinter trips from downtown Toronto and Pearson?
These are planning figures for common Sprinter work. Downtown means the Union Station area; times are typical and move with rush hour, weather and events.
| Trip | From downtown Toronto | From Toronto Pearson (YYZ) |
|---|---|---|
| Toronto Pearson (YYZ) | 27 km, 25-45 min | - |
| Billy Bishop (YTZ), Eireann Quay | 3-5 km, 10-20 min | about 30 km, 30-50 min |
| Metro Toronto Convention Centre | under 1 km, 5-10 min | about 27 km, 25-45 min |
| Toronto Congress Centre (Dixon Rd) | about 25 km, 25-40 min | about 5 km, 5-15 min |
| Vaughan | 35 km, 30-45 min | about 25 km, 20-35 min |
| Markham | 35 km, 30-45 min | about 40 km, 30-45 min |
| Hamilton | 68 km, 50-75 min | about 60 km, 40-60 min |
| Niagara Falls | 130 km, 85-110 min | about 125 km, 80-105 min |
| Ottawa | 450 km, 270-300 min | about 430 km, 260-300 min |
The reservation engine quotes the exact fixed fare for your addresses, date, time and vehicle; these figures only help you plan the day.
Is a Sprinter right for concerts, games and evening events?
Very often, yes. A Sprinter drops a group of up to twelve together at Scotiabank Arena, the Rogers Centre or BMO Field and collects them together afterwards, which beats a dozen phones fighting for rideshares on Bremner Boulevard when the doors open. For a gala at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the chauffeur can stage the van nearby and bring it round when the speeches end.
Event endings are unpredictable, so the hourly chauffeur in Toronto model suits most nights: book the van for the evening, let the chauffeur wait, and leave when you are ready. Game days and festival weekends close downtown streets and slow Lake Shore Boulevard; dispatch plans the drop and pickup points around the closures. Alcohol is not allowed on board our vehicles at any time, so plan drinks at the venue, not in the van.
How do Sprinters work for trade shows and crew shuttles?
Trade shows and productions are where the twelve-seat van earns its place. A common pattern is a loop: hotels near the airport, the Toronto Congress Centre or the convention centre downtown, and back, repeated on a timetable you set. The van is booked by the hour and the chauffeur runs the loop, with dispatch watching traffic on the 427 and the Gardiner.
For exhibitors, the van also handles the awkward jobs: moving sample cases, collecting a late flight's arrivals, or taking clients to dinner after the floor closes. The Metro Toronto Convention Centre publishes its own access details, which we follow for loading and drop-off. Read our trade show transportation page for show-week planning and employee and crew shuttles for recurring programmes.
Can we take a Sprinter to Niagara Falls or wine country for the day?
Yes, and it is one of the best uses of the vehicle. Downtown Toronto to Niagara Falls is about 130 km and 85 to 110 minutes on the QEW; from Pearson it is about 125 km and 80 to 105 minutes. A group of seven or twelve rides together, the chauffeur waits at each stop, and nobody worries about who drives home after a tasting.
Book it by the hour so the day can flex: the Falls and the parkway, lunch in Niagara-on-the-Lake, two or three wineries, and back to Toronto in the evening. Niagara Parks lists the attractions along the river. Sealed, unopened bottles bought at a winery may ride in the trunk area; nothing is opened or consumed on board. Our Toronto to Niagara Falls route page has the drive in detail, and Niagara Falls and wine tours covers itineraries.

How does a Sprinter compare with an SUV, two SUVs or a coach?
The choice usually comes down to headcount, luggage and whether the group should travel together.
| Option | Seats | Luggage | When it wins |
|---|---|---|---|
| SUV (Yukon XL / Suburban) | 6 | about 4 cases | Families, small teams, winter trips north |
| Executive Sprinter (lounge) | 7 | up to 7 cases | Seven people who want to talk face to face |
| First-class Executive Sprinter | 6 | up to 6 cases | Long days where every seat must be a good one |
| Sprinter luxury van | 12 | up to 12 cases | Groups of 8-12 with full luggage |
| Two Sprinters | up to 24 | up to 24 cases | Groups of 13-24, or two schedules |
| Coach (partner fleet) | 55 | luggage bays | Large delegations, tours, teams |
Six adults with a large case each overload an SUV's cargo area; that group belongs in a Sprinter. Two SUVs can work for split schedules, but one Sprinter keeps the group, the bags and the timing in one place. Smaller parties do better in a Cadillac Escalade-class SUV or, for one or two travellers, a black sedan. Our Sprinter group transportation page covers multi-vehicle planning.
How does hourly Sprinter hire work?
Every Sprinter class can be kept by the hour with a three-hour minimum, and extra time runs in 30-minute blocks. The van and chauffeur stay with you between stops, bags stay locked inside, and the chauffeur repositions the vehicle while you are in meetings or at a venue.
Hourly beats one way whenever the plan contains the word "then": the airport, then the hotel, then a site visit; the ceremony, then photos, then the reception. It also wins when the finish time is uncertain, such as a gala, a game that might go to overtime or a client dinner. For whole-day work, tell dispatch the outline in the notes so the chauffeur can plan breaks and refuelling around your schedule. Our hourly vs point-to-point guide explains the trade-off with examples.
How do I book a Sprinter in the reservation engine?
Booking direct takes a few minutes and needs no app.
- Open the reservation engine at /book/, or tap the floating Book now button on any page.
- Choose one way or hourly, then enter the pickup address, destination and time (or the flight number for an airport pickup).
- Pick the class: Executive Sprinter, First-class Executive Sprinter or Sprinter luxury van.
- Add passengers, luggage, child seats, meet and greet, and any stops in the notes.
- Review the fixed, all-in fare and confirm.
Multi-vehicle and coach movements are confirmed in writing by a coordinator. If the trip is part of a larger journey with flights and hotels, the travel desk can keep those on the same file.
What changes the fare for a chauffeured Sprinter?
We do not print fares, because the reservation engine shows the exact one for your trip. What moves it is predictable: the Sprinter class you choose, the kilometres and the realistic drive time for that hour, the date (Saturdays in wedding season and big event weekends are busiest), waiting beyond the included allowance, extra stops, and, for hourly bookings, the number of hours above the three-hour minimum.
What the fixed fare already includes is just as important: the chauffeur, the vehicle, fuel, airport fees, the 407 ETR and any bridge or tunnel tolls on the planned route, and the gratuity, with HST shown separately. There is no surge and no meter, so a slow Gardiner does not change a one-way fare after you book. For the full explanation, read how our fares work.
What can go in the Sprinter: luggage, skis, golf bags and child seats?
Each Sprinter class carries roughly one checked case per seat, plus carry-ons. Tell us about the awkward items: golf bags, ski and snowboard bags, hockey bags, instrument cases, camera kits and folding strollers all fit, but dispatch needs to know so the chauffeur can plan the load before arriving.
Infant, convertible and booster seats are available at booking; add each child's age and weight in the notes. A wheelchair-accessible vehicle is available when booked in advance, so mention a wheelchair or scooter at booking and we will send the right vehicle. Pets need prior written approval, requested at booking; service animals are welcome but should be mentioned too.
Can a Sprinter go long distance or across the US border?
Yes. Sprinters run intercity days to Ottawa, Montreal and cottage country, and cross-border trips to Buffalo, Niagara Falls NY and beyond. For very long days we can add a second chauffeur, and for multi-day trips the chauffeur can stay over, arranged at booking.
For the border, every passenger needs their own valid passport or other accepted document; the Canada Border Services Agency and US CBP explain the rules. A NEXUS lane only helps if everyone in the vehicle holds a NEXUS card, and NEXUS-holding chauffeurs are available on request. Bridge tolls on the planned route are included in the fixed fare. Before any long run, dispatch checks highway conditions on Ontario 511, and our cars run winter tires from November to April.
