A party bus to an Argonauts game seats 20 or 30, has a 4–5 hour minimum and comes from a vetted partner operator, priced in writing by a coordinator. BMO Field is about 5 km (10–20 min) from Union Station and 24 km (20–40 min) from Pearson. Alcohol is not allowed on board, and the bus waits outside the grounds for the ride home.

Our BMO Field limo page for Argos and TFC games covers the stadium and the standard vehicles. This post is for the big group: a stag party, an office outing, a minor-football club or a birthday crowd that wants to travel to an Argonauts game together. Party buses do not behave like sedans at Exhibition Place, so the plan is different. Smaller groups can book a sedan, SUV or Sprinter directly in the reservation engine, which shows the fixed fare first.

Is a party bus to an Argonauts game the right choice for your group?

A party bus to an Argonauts game suits a group of roughly 15 to 30 who want to ride together, with music and lights, and arrive as one crowd. Below about 12 people, a Sprinter luxury van is simpler: it is part of our own fleet, needs less kerb space, and has a 3-hour minimum rather than four or five. Above 30, a 55-seat coach is the practical choice. Party buses and coaches are partner vehicles, supplied by vetted operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network, and a coordinator confirms the vehicle, timings and price in writing. Our party bus rental page explains the classes.

Seat counts are maximums; leave a little room for coats and team gear.

Can you drink on the party bus on the way to the game?

No. Alcohol is not allowed in any of our vehicles, and that includes party buses and stretch limousines from partner operators. We say this plainly because it is the most common question about game-day buses. The good news is that the stadium works the same way: BMO Field's FAQ says outside alcohol cannot be brought in, that nobody may enter while intoxicated, and that anyone buying or drinking alcohol must be 19 or older with photo ID, with staff checking ID for anyone who looks under 25. Plan pre-game drinks at a bar or restaurant near the stadium, keep the bus for music and the ride, and the whole group gets through the gate.

How do party buses get in and out of Exhibition Place?

Big vehicles are where Exhibition Place gets tricky. The grounds are wrapped by Lake Shore Boulevard West to the south and the rail corridor to the north, with a limited number of internal roads. BMO Field's directions page describes the car route from the Gardiner to the Lake Shore Boulevard West exit and Ontario Drive. A 30-seat bus cannot pull up anywhere a sedan can, and where it may drop off and wait is set by matchday traffic management on the grounds. The partner operator and our coordinator confirm the drop-off and staging area for your date, and the bus usually waits a short walk outside the busiest roads.

What does an Argonauts game day look like for a party bus?

A typical Saturday for 24 friends from Oakville, about 35 km and 30 to 45 minutes from the stadium:

  1. 2:00 p.m. The bus collects everyone at one meeting point, a home or a parking lot, not six separate addresses.
  2. 2:45 p.m. Drop-off at a restaurant or bar near Liberty Village for food and pre-game drinks.
  3. 4:15 p.m. Short ride to the stadium staging area; the group walks in together.
  4. 5:00 p.m. Kick-off; the bus waits at its staging area.
  5. About 8:00 p.m. Final whistle; the group walks to the bus meeting point.
  6. 8:45 p.m. Back in Oakville.

That is close to seven hours, comfortably above the party-bus minimum. CFL start times vary, so check the Toronto Argonauts schedule before you lock in the plan.

When is the CFL season, and when do Argos games get busier?

The CFL regular season usually starts in June and runs into the autumn, with the playoffs and the Grey Cup in November; the CFL publishes the schedule. For party-bus planning, three periods need extra care. Late August, when the CNE takes over Exhibition Place, brings heavy crowds and road restrictions. Long weekends fill partner buses early. Late-season games in October and November are cold and windy by the lake, which makes a warm bus at a nearby meeting point worth a lot. Book as soon as the date is fixed, especially for Saturday afternoons.

How do you keep 25 people together after the final whistle?

Big groups lose time to stragglers. These rules work:

  • Name one group leader who stays in touch with the driver.
  • Agree the bus meeting point before you leave it, and have everyone take a photo of where it is.
  • Ask the group to walk straight to the bus after the game, not to the team shop or a second bar first.
  • Do a headcount before the doors close, using the passenger list you sent the coordinator.

If a few people want to stay out downtown, book a separate sedan or SUV for them in the reservation engine rather than holding the whole bus.

What should a stag or birthday group plan beyond the bus?

A game can be the centre of a stag weekend or a big birthday, with the bus for the game and smaller cars for the rest. Our bachelor party ideas for Toronto post covers the wider weekend, and the bachelor and bachelorette page explains how we handle celebrations, including the no-alcohol rule in every vehicle. Groups coming from out of town can stay at the Entertainment District hotels, a short ride from the stadium, and our travel desk can book flights and rooms for the whole group.

How is a party bus priced, and what changes the fare?

We do not print prices. Partner vehicles such as party buses and coaches are priced in writing by a coordinator, and the main factors are the vehicle size, the number of hours (with the 4–5 hour minimum for party buses), the day and season, the pickup area and any extra stops. Splitting the total across the group is how most stag and birthday buses are paid for; our posts on how much a party bus costs in Toronto and party-bus cost per person explain the factors without figures. For our own sedans, SUVs and Sprinters, the reservation engine shows the fixed fare instantly, with tolls on the planned route included.

Would two Sprinters be better than one party bus?

Sometimes. Two Sprinter vans carry up to 24 people, need less space at Exhibition Place and can split after the game, one going home and one heading downtown. They also run on our own fleet with a 3-hour minimum, so they suit shorter days. A party bus keeps 20 or 30 people in a single space with lighting and sound, which is the point of a celebration. For a minor-football team or a school group, comfort and supervision matter more than lights, and a coach or Sprinters are usually the better fit.

What about the GO train for a big group?

For a group that lives along the Lakeshore GO line, the train is a strong alternative. BMO Field's directions page says Exhibition GO station is just outside the grounds, one stop west of Union Station, and TTC streetcars and buses serve the area too. The catch with a big group is coordination: different start stations, people missing the train and a crowded platform after the game. A single bus or two Sprinters from one meeting point solve that, and nobody has to drive home or find a ride across the 905 late at night.

What happens if it rains or the game is delayed?

BMO Field is open-air, so rain and wind are part of the experience. Check Environment Canada the day before and pack layers; jackets and bags that fail the stadium's clear-bag policy stay on the bus. Weather delays or overtime simply extend the booking on hourly terms, and the coordinator confirms how extra time is charged for partner vehicles. If the game is moved to another date, ask us to move the booking. Our cancellation policy, measured from the scheduled pickup, is: more than 72 hours, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10 %; 48 hours or less, 50 %; 24 hours or less or a no-show, 100 %.

What if the group is coming from Hamilton or flying into Pearson?

Rivalry games bring fans east along the QEW. From Hamilton, BMO Field is about 68 km, typically 50 to 75 minutes, and longer on a Friday evening, so a bus from Hamilton should leave earlier than the Oakville plan above. A group flying in for a game lands at Pearson, about 24 km and 20 to 40 minutes from the stadium; the bus or a pair of Sprinters can meet the group at the airport's pre-arranged pickup area, take everyone to the hotel and return for the game. For a smaller crew from Hamilton, the Toronto to Hamilton route page covers sedans and SUVs in both directions, with the fixed fare shown before you confirm.

What should the group bring, and what stays on the bus?

Keep it simple. Each person needs a phone with their mobile ticket, a card for the cashless stadium, photo ID if they plan to buy a drink inside, and a bag that meets the clear-bag rule, or no bag at all. Jerseys, scarves, jackets and a change of clothes for a wet game can stay on the bus, which waits at its staging area during the game. Food is best eaten at the pre-game stop rather than on board, which keeps the vehicle clean for the ride home. If anyone needs a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, book it in advance and mention the chair at booking, so a suitable car travels alongside the bus.

What mistakes do party-bus groups make on game day?

  1. Planning drinks on the bus; alcohol is not allowed in our vehicles.
  2. Giving the driver ten pickup addresses instead of one meeting point.
  3. Expecting the bus to wait at the stadium door.
  4. Forgetting the clear-bag rule and arriving with backpacks.
  5. Booking too late for a Saturday in August or a long weekend.
  6. Splitting up after the game without telling the group leader.

Our sibling post on Toronto FC match day covers the smaller-group version of the same stadium.

FAQ

Questions, answered

How many people fit on a party bus to an Argonauts game?

Partner party buses seat 20 or 30, and coaches up to 55. For 12 or fewer, our own Sprinter luxury van is simpler and has a 3-hour minimum, and two Sprinters carry up to 24. Seat counts are maximums, so leave a little room for coats and gear on a cool autumn game day.

Can we drink alcohol on the party bus to BMO Field?

No. Alcohol is not allowed in any of our vehicles, including party buses and stretch limousines from partner operators. Plan drinks at a bar or restaurant before the game. BMO Field also refuses outside alcohol and anyone who arrives intoxicated, and serves alcohol only to guests aged 19 or over with valid photo ID.

Where does a party bus drop off at BMO Field?

Large vehicles cannot stop wherever a car can. Drop-off and waiting areas for buses are set by matchday traffic management at Exhibition Place, so the partner operator and our coordinator confirm them for your date. The bus usually waits a short walk away from the busiest roads, and the group walks to it after the game.

What is the minimum booking for a party bus in Toronto?

Party buses have a 4 to 5 hour minimum, set by the vehicle and the date, and the coordinator confirms it in writing with the price. An Argonauts game with a pre-game meal and travel from the suburbs usually runs six to seven hours, so most game-day bookings are well above the minimum.

How far ahead should we book a party bus for an Argos game?

As soon as the date is fixed. Saturday games, long weekends and the CNE period in late August are the busiest, and partner buses are limited. Booking several weeks ahead gives the coordinator time to confirm the vehicle, the meeting point and the staging plan at Exhibition Place.

Is the GO train a good option for a group going to an Argos game?

It can be, for a group living along the Lakeshore GO line: Exhibition GO station is just outside the grounds, one stop west of Union. The difficulty is coordinating many people from different stations and a crowded platform after the game. One bus or two Sprinters from a single meeting point keep the group together.

Can part of the group stay downtown after the game?

Yes. Rather than holding the whole bus, book a separate sedan, SUV or Sprinter in the reservation engine for the people staying out, with a pickup later in the evening. The bus takes everyone else home on time, and nobody has to find a ride across the city late at night.

Why TorontoBlackLimousine.com

What separates a private chauffeur from a ride with a stranger

The standard our chauffeurs work to is on the chauffeurs page; what each transfer costs, and why, is on the rates page; when an hourly booking beats a one-way trip is in this guide.

01

A private chauffeur, by the hour

Keep one black car and one chauffeur for three hours or the whole day: a Bay Street meeting, lunch in Yorkville, a site visit in Vaughan, a Niagara tasting, the flight home from Pearson. The car waits outside; you never queue for another ride.

02

A fixed fare, booked direct

The engine prices the exact address, date and vehicle before you confirm - 407 ETR tolls when used, airport fees and gratuity included. No surge after a Leafs game, no meter on the Gardiner, and no aggregator taking a cut.

03

Flights and trains, tracked

Pearson Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 and Billy Bishop flights are tracked from take-off; VIA, GO and UP Express arrivals at Union Station from departure. Thirty minutes free on Canadian and US flights, sixty on other international arrivals.

04

Chauffeurs who read Toronto traffic

Licensed for passengers for hire, screened and suited; routes chosen on live traffic across the Gardiner, the DVP, the 401 collectors and express lanes, the 427, the 407 ETR and the QEW - and around the lane closures and game-day crowds downtown.

05

Airports, Union Station, jets and the border

Pearson, Billy Bishop, Hamilton, Waterloo, Buffalo, Niagara Falls NY and Detroit; Union Station and the GO and VIA stations; private aviation; and cross-border trips over the Peace Bridge, Rainbow Bridge, Lewiston-Queenston or into Detroit.

06

A desk that answers

Dispatch staffed around the clock by phone, chat and WhatsApp; a coordinator for weddings, proms, party buses, delegations, trade shows and corporate accounts.
