For a car service to a Scotiabank Arena concert, book an hourly chauffeur, agree a meet point a few minutes' walk from Bay Street and Lake Shore before the show, and message the chauffeur when the encore starts. The arena is about 0.5 km from Union Station and 27 km (25–45 min) from Pearson, and the reservation engine shows the fixed fare first.
Our page on the Scotiabank Arena limo for games and concerts covers the arena itself and our vehicles. Hockey and basketball nights end over a few minutes; a concert does not end until the artist decides, and then almost everyone leaves at once. This post is the exit plan for show nights: what to decide on the way in, where the car should wait, and when transit or a hotel walk is the better choice. The reservation engine shows the fixed fare for your hours before you confirm.
Why does a car service to a Scotiabank Arena concert need an exit plan?
A car service to a Scotiabank Arena concert has to cope with the hardest ten minutes of the night. When the house lights come up, the whole audience walks out onto Bay Street, York Street and Lake Shore Boulevard under the Gardiner, while police hold traffic at the intersections. Thousands of people open ride apps at the same moment, and mobile data slows down. A car that drives to the doors at that point gets stuck in the queue. A car that has been waiting a few streets away, facing your route home, gets you out in minutes. The difference is a plan agreed before the opening act.
What should you agree with the chauffeur on the way in?
Four things, settled in the car before you reach the arena:
- The meet point, chosen by your direction home, a three- to five-minute walk from Bay and Lake Shore.
- The signal: one person in the group messages the chauffeur when the encore begins.
- The fallback: what you will do if phones stop working, such as "wait at the corner by the meet point until the car arrives".
- The next stop: home, a hotel, a late dinner or Pearson, so the car is positioned the right way.
Take a screenshot of the meet point and the plate number. Concert crowds drain phone batteries, and screenshots still open when the network does not.
How does a typical concert night run at the arena?
| Stage of the night | Typical timing | What the chauffeur does | What you do |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pickup in the suburbs | 2 to 2.5 h before the headliner | drives in against the evening rush | charge phones in the car |
| Dinner nearby | 90 min before doors | waits or parks nearby | agree the meet point |
| Doors and opener | as printed on your ticket | moves to a staging spot | enter at any open gate |
| Headliner | often 60 to 120 min | stays staged | enjoy the show |
| Encore begins | unknown in advance | moves to the meet point | send the signal |
| House lights | crowd exits | waiting at the corner | walk out and step away |
The arena's own Know Before You Go page says concert tickets are delivered digitally and scanned from your phone in the Scotiabank Arena app, so make sure every guest has their own ticket before you leave home.
Where should the car wait after a concert?
The arena does not publish a dedicated pickup zone for private cars, so the chauffeur chooses a corner that the evening's road restrictions allow and that suits your route. As a rule of thumb, groups heading west to Mississauga, Oakville or Pearson do best walking west towards York Street and Bremner Boulevard, for the Gardiner westbound. Groups heading north to Yorkville or North York walk north-west, away from the Bay Street queue. Groups heading east to Scarborough, Pickering or the Distillery walk east towards the Esplanade. The walk is short, and it avoids the slowest block in the city at 11 p.m. on a show night.
Should you leave before the encore?
It depends on what matters more: the last song or the first car out. Leaving during the encore means you walk out ahead of the crowd and are usually moving within five minutes. Staying to the end means a slower walk and a longer wait at the meet point, but with an hourly booking nothing goes wrong; the chauffeur is waiting either way. Families with young children and guests with an early flight often leave a song early. Superfans stay for the last note. The plan works in both cases, as long as the signal goes to the chauffeur as soon as you decide.
When is Union Station or a hotel walk the better choice?
Often, and we say so. The arena's getting-here page explains that Union Station links it to the subway and GO Transit, so a fan travelling alone, with only a phone and a jacket, and living near a subway stop or a late GO train will usually get home efficiently by transit. Check GO Transit for the last train on your line before the show, as Union is crowded straight after a concert. Guests staying at the Financial District hotels or near the Union Station concourse can simply walk. A chauffeur wins for groups, families, guests heading to areas without late trains, and anyone who wants to sit down rather than stand on a platform.
Can you go straight from a concert to a late flight at Pearson?
Yes, and fans travelling for a tour date do it regularly. From the arena, Pearson is about 27 km via the Gardiner and Highway 427, typically 25 to 45 minutes, and less late at night. Keep the luggage locked in the car during the show; the arena's restricted bag policy will not let a suitcase in anyway. If you would rather take the train, the UP Express from Union runs to Terminal 1 in about 28 minutes, according to UP Express; check its last departure before relying on it. For a red-eye after a long show, most people prefer the car: no luggage on the platform, and Terminal 3 is door to door. Our travel desk can book the flight and a hotel if you would rather stay over.
What does the plan look like for a group of friends from the suburbs?
Five friends from Markham, about 35 km and 35 to 55 minutes away, book a premier luxury SUV for a Friday show. The car collects them at 5 p.m., before the worst of the DVP southbound, and drops them for dinner near the St. Lawrence Market. In the car they agree a meet point east of the arena, lined up for the DVP northbound. At the start of the encore one of them messages the chauffeur; ten minutes after the lights come up they are in the car and on the highway. A note for celebrations: alcohol is not allowed in our vehicles, so any toasting happens at dinner or at the venue, not in the back seat.
How do parents plan a concert night for children or teenagers?
Two common versions. In the first, a parent goes with the children, and the plan is a car that collects at home, drops near the arena and is ready at the meet point when the children start to fade, sometimes before the encore. In the second, teenagers go on their own: the chauffeur drops them, stays nearby on an hourly booking, and collects them at the agreed corner. Share the plate and the meet point with every parent, give dispatch one teenager's phone number, and ask the group to walk to the corner together. Booster seats are available at booking for younger children.
What should stay in the car during the show?
The arena runs a restricted bag policy and encourages fans not to bring any bag, allowing only small purse-style bags. Concert merchandise also adds to what people carry out. The car keeps everything else: work bags, shopping, suitcases, heavy winter coats and the gift bag from the merchandise stand if you buy before the show. The arena is cashless, so carry a card. If you leave something in the car by mistake after the final drop-off, dispatch arranges its return.
How do concert nights affect the rest of downtown?
Shows at the arena often overlap with other events in the south core: a game or a concert at Rogers Centre, an event at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, and the evening rush. When two big venues empty within an hour of each other, traffic slows across Front Street, Lake Shore and the Gardiner ramps. Our dispatchers check the City's road notices and Ontario 511 before each pickup and adjust the meet point and the route. If a closure changes the plan during the show, the chauffeur sends the new meet point by text.
Is a concert at the arena different from one at Rogers Centre?
Yes. The arena is indoors and smaller, with one main exit area towards Bay and Lake Shore. Rogers Centre is a stadium with entrances on every side and published vehicle meeting points around the building. Our sibling post on the Rogers Centre concert pickup plan covers the stadium. For hockey nights at the arena, see Leafs tickets and an arena night, and the concert and game-day limo service page lists every venue we drive to.
What mistakes make the post-concert exit slow?
- Asking the chauffeur to "come to the front" when the show ends.
- Waiting for a reply before walking, instead of walking to the meet point.
- Letting phones die before the meet point is confirmed.
- Splitting up to buy merchandise after the show without telling the group.
- Booking a one-way pickup at a fixed time and then watching the encore run long.
Every one of these costs time, and every one is avoided by the four decisions you make on the way in.

Which vehicle suits a concert group, and what does hourly cost you in time?
Sedans and the electric Tesla Model Y carry two passengers, SUVs six, the executive Sprinter seven, and the Sprinter luxury van up to twelve. Stretch limousines and party buses come from vetted partner operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network. On an hourly chauffeur booking, sedans, SUVs and Sprinters have a 3-hour minimum, and a concert night from the suburbs usually runs five to seven hours. Extra time is added in 30-minute blocks. Our cancellation policy is measured from pickup: more than 72 hours, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10 %; 48 hours or less, 50 %; 24 hours or less or a no-show, 100 %.
