A limo to 360 Restaurant at the CN Tower drops you at the tower's Bremner Boulevard entrance, about 1 km from the Financial District and 27 km (25 to 45 minutes) from Pearson. The restaurant sits 351 m up, turns once every 72 minutes, and includes the lift plus the observation levels after your meal. Reserve the table first, then book the car.
The CN Tower car service page covers the routes and the set-down point. This post is about one evening in particular: dinner at the tower's revolving restaurant. It is one of the most booked special-occasion meals in Toronto, and the evenings that go best are the ones planned around three clocks at once: the sunset, the 72-minute rotation and the car.
What is 360 Restaurant at the CN Tower?
According to the CN Tower, 360 is a revolving restaurant 351 m (1,151 ft) above the ground. It completes one full rotation every 72 minutes, so the view changes through the meal: the lake and the Toronto Islands, the airport on the island, the downtown towers, the Rogers Centre roof below you. The tower describes the menu as equal parts steakhouse, seafood restaurant and wine bar, with Canadian ingredients and Ocean Wise seafood, and it promotes a "wine cellar in the sky" with a focus on Ontario wines. It serves lunch and dinner.
Does dinner include the CN Tower observation levels?
Yes, and it changes how you plan the evening. The tower says a meal at 360 includes the lift to the restaurant and access to the Main and Lower Observation Levels after you eat, so restaurant guests do not need a separate admission ticket. A per-person minimum spend on food applies; the tower lists the details on its site and we do not reprint them. In practice, that means dinner can replace the observation ticket entirely: eat, then walk down to the glass floor and the terrace. Allow 30 to 45 minutes for that part and tell your chauffeur.
How do you reserve a table?
The tower takes 360 reservations through OpenTable, linked from its own site. Book as early as you can for Friday and Saturday evenings, long weekends, Valentine's Day, December and anything in TIFF week in September. When you reserve, add a note if it is a birthday, an anniversary or a proposal; the restaurant cannot promise a specific window table, but notes help. Then book the car. Reserving in that order means the pickup time is built around a confirmed table, not the other way round.
How do you time dinner around the sunset?
This is the question that matters most for the view. Because the room takes 72 minutes to turn, a table booked about an hour before sunset gives you daylight over the lake for the first course, the sun going down during the main, and the city lit up by dessert. Toronto's sunset moves a lot through the year, from early evening in December to well after 8:30 p.m. in late June, so check the time for your date rather than guessing. A rough guide:
- Look up sunset for your date.
- Book the table 45 to 60 minutes before it.
- Book the car to arrive 30 minutes before the table, to clear the tower's entrance and the lift.
How long does the evening take?
Plan on about two hours at the table for a relaxed dinner, which is long enough for at least one and a half rotations. Add 30 minutes for arriving, security and the lift, and 30 to 45 minutes on the observation levels afterwards if you use them. That makes three to three and a quarter hours from set-down to pickup. A three-hour hourly chauffeur booking is often too tight once you include the drive; a four-hour block from a downtown hotel, or five from the suburbs, leaves room for dessert without watching the clock.

What is the dress code at 360?
The tower describes the dress code as smart casual to formal. That covers most special-occasion outfits; it rules out beachwear and gym clothes. One practical point for winter: the walk from the car to the entrance is short, but the observation terrace after dinner is outdoors and windy at that height, so bring a coat even if you leave it in the car for the meal and fetch it after. Shoes you can stand in on the glass floor are a good idea too.
One-way or hourly for a 360 dinner?
If you live or stay downtown and are going straight home, two one-way bookings work: one to the tower, one back. The trouble is the return time. Dinners overrun, the lift queue down can be busy after a sunset rush, and a fixed pickup either leaves the car waiting or you waiting. On an hourly booking the chauffeur stays nearby, you text when you leave the table, and the car is on Bremner Boulevard by the time you are out of the building. For anyone coming from Mississauga, Oakville, Vaughan or Markham, about 30 to 38 km away, hourly is almost always simpler.
How far is the tower from where you are staying?
| From | Distance to the CN Tower | Typical drive | Suggested booking |
|---|---|---|---|
| Financial District hotel | about 1 km | 5 to 10 min | One-way each way or 3 to 4 h hourly |
| Yorkville | about 5 km | 12 to 20 min | 4 h hourly |
| North York | about 15 km | 20 to 35 min | 4 to 5 h hourly |
| Toronto Pearson (YYZ) | about 27 km | 25 to 45 min | One-way from arrivals, hourly for the night |
| Mississauga | about 30 km | 30 to 45 min | 5 h hourly |
| Oakville | about 38 km | 30 to 45 min | 5 h hourly |
The drive times are typical planning figures and stretch on Blue Jays and concert nights at the Rogers Centre next door.
What if there is a game at the Rogers Centre?
Check the Blue Jays schedule and the Rogers Centre concert calendar before booking your table. A dinner that starts as 40,000 fans arrive, or ends as they leave, puts the car into the slowest traffic on Bremner Boulevard and Front Street. If your date is fixed, tell us in the booking notes: the chauffeur plans an approach from the quieter side and may meet you a short walk away, texting the exact spot. If your date is flexible, pick a night with nothing on next door.
How do you plan a proposal at 360?
A lot of proposals happen at this table, and a few things make them easier. Tell the restaurant in the reservation notes. Keep the ring with you, not in a coat that might go back to the car. Decide whether the question comes at the table or later on the observation level, where it is quieter late in the evening. And plan the ride home: a first-class sedan waiting outside makes the end of the night feel deliberate. Our date night and proposal page has more ideas, and the Toronto proposal ideas post lists other settings across the city.
Can you combine dinner with EdgeWalk or a show?
Yes. The bold version is an afternoon EdgeWalk around the outside of the pod followed by dinner inside it; our EdgeWalk planning post explains the timing and what to bring. The gentler version is an early dinner at 360 followed by a show in the theatre district, about 1 to 2 km away, or a concert at Roy Thomson Hall. On an hourly booking the chauffeur covers every hop. Bring a change of clothes in the car if you are walking first.
Can you have lunch at 360 instead of dinner?
Yes, the tower lists lunch as well as dinner. Lunch has advantages: easier tables, daylight views as far across the lake as the weather allows, and a calmer drive at both ends. It suits families, visiting grandparents and anyone combining the meal with the observation levels and Ripley's Aquarium next door in one day. On an hourly booking from a downtown hotel, a lunch, the observation levels and the aquarium fit comfortably inside four to five hours.
What happens after dinner?
When you finish, the restaurant guests go down to the observation level if they want to use the included access, then down to street level. Text the chauffeur when you leave the table; the car moves into position on Bremner Boulevard while you look around. Then the evening can carry on: a nightcap in a hotel bar, a walk along the waterfront or the ride home. If you had wine with dinner, that last ride is the point of the whole plan: nobody in your party needs to drive. Alcohol is not allowed in our vehicles, so the drinking stays at the table.
Which vehicle suits a dinner at the tower?
For two, the first-class sedan is the classic choice: quiet, roomy and polished at the entrance. The business sedan works well for a corporate dinner. Families or two couples sharing the evening fit the premier luxury SUV. For a group celebration, the Sprinter luxury van seats up to twelve. Stretch limousines come from vetted partner operators with a four-hour minimum and are better for a ride around the city after dinner than for the set-down on a busy Bremner evening. Rolls-Royce cars are available on request.
Is 360 good for a client or corporate dinner?
It works well for out-of-town clients who have never been up the tower, because dinner combines the view, the meal and the observation levels in one booking. For hosts, the logistics matter: collect the guests from their hotels, keep the car through the evening, and drop everyone back at the end, so nobody is chasing a ride on a game night. Our corporate car service runs these evenings on account. The steakhouse client dinner plan covers the alternative if the tower is fully booked.
What about visitors flying in for the dinner?
Some couples fly in for an anniversary weekend built around this one meal. The car can meet the flight at Pearson's pre-arranged pickup area, take you to the hotel to change and then on to the tower. Our travel desk can book the flights and a hotel within a few minutes of the tower, so the whole weekend lines up. For other evenings, Destination Toronto lists what is on.
How do you book the car for a 360 dinner?
Reserve the table, check the sunset and the Rogers Centre calendar, then open the reservation engine. Choose hourly for the evening (or one-way for each leg), enter the pickup, the CN Tower as the destination and a time 30 minutes before the table, and add the occasion in the notes. The engine shows the fixed, all-in fare before you confirm. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup.
