Arcadian Court is a restored Art Deco event space on the 8th floor of 401 Bay Street (Simpson Tower) at Queen and Bay, one of the busiest gala venues in Toronto. It is about 1.5 km from Union Station (5–15 minutes) and about 27 km from Pearson (30–45 minutes). TorontoBlackLimousine.com drops at the building entrance and waits by the hour. Arcadian Court Toronto: getting to the gala venue at Queen and Bay
Arcadian Court sits on the eighth floor of the Simpson Tower at 401 Bay Street, on the corner of Queen and Bay, opposite Old City Hall and a short walk from Nathan Phillips Square. The space dates from the department-store era, when it was a grand dining room, and has been restored to its Art Deco styling with chandeliers inspired by the originals. Alongside it is the more contemporary Arcadian Loft, which the venue's website describes with views over Old and New City Hall. Guests come for weddings, charity galas, awards nights and corporate dinners. For a chauffeur, the job is a downtown tower drop-off: a quick stop at street level, a lobby, and elevators up to the event floor, then a well-timed pickup when the evening ends.
How does an Arcadian Court booking work?
Enter the pickup address, date and event time in our reservation engine and choose a vehicle. You see the fixed, all-in fare (chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, any 407 ETR tolls used, airport fees where relevant and gratuity, with HST shown separately) before you confirm, and you receive the chauffeur's details before the trip. On the evening, the chauffeur arrives early, texts on arrival, and drops you as close to the building entrance as Bay Street traffic allows. For the return, text when you are heading down in the elevator and the car will be waiting when you reach the street. Keep the car by the hour and the chauffeur stays nearby the whole evening.

Gala venues in Toronto: how Arcadian Court compares for transport
Toronto's gala venues fall into a few groups, and each has its own transport rhythm. Tower venues such as Arcadian Court and The Carlu put guests on an upper floor, so the elevator is the bottleneck. Hotel ballrooms like those at the Fairmont Royal York have covered front drives and doormen, so arrivals move quickly. Concert halls such as Roy Thomson Hall and Meridian Hall empty all at once when the curtain falls. Exhibition and convention spaces, including the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and the halls at Exhibition Place, handle thousands of guests across large sites. Arcadian Court is compact and central, so short trips from Financial District hotels are typical, but the late-night exit after a wedding still needs planning.
Why book an hourly chauffeur for a night at Arcadian Court?
Gala and wedding schedules slip. The cocktail hour runs over, the speeches start late, and the dancing continues past the planned end. With our hourly chauffeur service, a car and chauffeur stay with you for a minimum of three hours, with extra time in 30-minute blocks. You leave when you choose, not when a pre-booked one-way pickup arrives. Hourly also suits evenings with several legs: a hotel pickup, photos at Nathan Phillips Square or the Distillery District, the event, and drop-offs at two or three homes afterwards. Choose one-way when you know your departure time and only need a single trip.

Weddings at Arcadian Court: transport plan
Weddings at Arcadian Court often start with a ceremony at a church or City Hall, then photos downtown, then the reception upstairs. A typical plan uses one hourly car for the couple, a second car for parents or the wedding party, and a Sprinter shuttle that runs guests between a hotel room block and the venue. Toronto City Hall is across the street, which makes a short hourly booking very efficient for civil ceremonies. Our wedding limo service explains how we book stretch limousines from vetted partners in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network, which a coordinator prices in writing, alongside our own first-class sedans and luxury SUVs.
Which vehicles suit Arcadian Court guests?
A business sedan or first-class sedan suits one or two guests. A family or small group of up to six travels in a Yukon XL or Suburban, or a premier luxury SUV for VIP arrivals. A first-class executive Sprinter with six captain's chairs is a comfortable way to bring a head table together, and a Sprinter luxury van carries twelve. For guest shuttles of 20 or more, party buses and coaches come from vetted partner operators and are managed on the same file. On Bay Street, smaller vehicles load faster, so for big groups we often recommend two SUVs instead of one large vehicle.
Arrival timing for galas at Queen and Bay
Bay Street and Queen Street carry heavy evening traffic, and Queen Street has streetcars that cannot pass a stopped car. Plan to arrive 10 to 20 minutes after the reception opens, unless you are hosting or speaking, in which case come earlier. On nights with a Maple Leafs or Raptors home game, a big concert, or a Nathan Phillips Square event such as a festival or the winter skating season, add time. During December, when every downtown venue hosts holiday parties, book early and allow more margin. Our dispatcher checks Ontario 511 traffic and city closures before every job and texts you if the drop-off point changes.
Arcadian Court parking versus a chauffeur
There are paid underground garages in the surrounding towers and along Bay Street, but they are busy on weekday evenings and costly, and guests who drive must decide who stays sober. A chauffeur removes parking from the equation: you are dropped and collected at the entrance. Queen subway station on Line 1 is close by, which makes the TTC practical for single guests heading somewhere along the subway line. For groups, families with older relatives, guests in formal wear, and anyone travelling late, a car is simpler and safer, especially in winter.
Corporate events and award dinners in the Financial District
Arcadian Court sits on the edge of the Financial District, so many bookings are corporate: client appreciation dinners, award ceremonies, retirements and year-end parties. Our corporate car service handles central billing, manifests and multiple cars for one event. The corporate events and galas page covers staggered departures so senior guests are not left waiting. For companies that host visiting investors the same week, the roadshows and investor meetings page explains how an hourly car runs between Bay Street meetings, a lunch and the evening event.
Arriving from Pearson on the day of the event
Visitors landing at Pearson should book with their flight number so we track the arrival. Included waiting is 30 minutes after actual landing for Canadian domestic and US flights and 60 minutes for other international flights. The fare covers curbside pickup in the pre-arranged pickup area on the arrivals level, as described on the Pearson pre-arranged services page; meet and greet inside the terminal with a name board can be added at booking. Allow 30–45 minutes to the Financial District, more in the weekday afternoon rush. If you need a hotel close to the venue, see our Financial District hotels and Downtown Yonge and Eaton Centre hotels pages, or ask the travel desk to arrange rooms and flights.
Planning a multi-car gala downtown
For a gala with several vehicles, we assign a coordinator who builds the schedule from your guest list: names, pickup addresses, times and special requests. We confirm vehicles, staging and contact numbers in writing. On the night, each chauffeur has a manifest and the coordinator keeps an eye on timings. After the event, cars leave in a planned order: guests of honour first, then others grouped by destination. Multi-vehicle and larger-vehicle programmes are priced in writing. For guests who need discretion or protocol, see VIP event transportation.
Accessibility and comfort for older guests
Many gala and wedding guests are older or use mobility aids. Our chauffeurs open doors, help passengers in and out, and fold and stow wheelchairs and walkers for those who can transfer to a seat. We have a wheelchair-accessible vehicle for anyone who must stay seated in a wheelchair or scooter, available when booked in advance. For guests with young children, booster and convertible seats are available at booking. Cars run winter tires from November to April, and chauffeurs carry umbrellas for the walk between the car and the door.

When should you book cars for Arcadian Court?
Book as soon as you have a date, especially for Saturday weddings from May to October and corporate parties in late November and December. For several cars or a Sprinter, book at least one to two weeks ahead. Cancellation policy for each vehicle: more than 72 hours before pickup is free; 72 hours or less is 10 %; 48 hours or less is 50 %; 24 hours or less or a no-show is 100 %. Pickup time and address changes are handled through dispatch whenever possible.
What is included in the fare?
We do not print prices. The fixed fare shown before you confirm includes the chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, any 407 ETR tolls, airport fees and gratuity; HST is shown separately. It changes with vehicle class, distance and time, waiting beyond the grace period, extra stops, the date and the hourly minimum. Meet and greet and child seats are available at booking. There is no meter and no surge, even on the busiest gala night. Our fare explainer and hourly versus point-to-point guide help you choose.
Extending the evening beyond Arcadian Court
Guests often extend an Arcadian Court evening: dinner beforehand on King West, a late drink in Yorkville, or an early flight home the next day. With an hourly booking, one chauffeur covers every leg. Visiting delegates can book chauffeured cars in more than 70 countries and 500 cities on the same Toronto account through the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network. Other downtown venue pages, including The Carlu and Roy Thomson Hall and Meridian Hall, cover the transport details at nearby gala rooms.
