A Rolls Royce wedding car in Toronto is arranged on request: TorontoBlackLimousine.com sources it from a vetted partner operator in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network, with a chauffeur, and confirms the car, the minimum hours and the fixed fare in writing. Book as soon as the venue is set, keep the car for the ceremony and photographs, and use other vehicles for the long legs.
A Rolls-Royce is the car most couples picture when they imagine the arrival, and it is also the car with the fewest dates available in the city. This post is about the practical side of a Rolls Royce wedding car: when to book, what to confirm in writing, how long to keep it and how to build the day around it. For the car itself and how we source it, see our chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce in Toronto page. Distances below are typical planning figures from downtown Toronto (Union Station) and from Toronto Pearson (YYZ).
Rolls Royce wedding car: what does booking one in Toronto involve?
Three things are different from booking an ordinary wedding car. The car comes from a partner operator, so availability is confirmed by a coordinator rather than instantly. The partner sets its own minimum hours, which may be longer than the 3-hour minimum on our own sedans and SUVs. And the specific model, colour and year are confirmed for your date, not promised from a photo gallery.
None of that is a problem if you plan for it. You start the request in the reservation engine, a coordinator checks the date with partners, and you receive the car, the hours and the fixed fare in writing before you commit. From then on, one Toronto dispatch desk handles the day, whether the car is ours or a partner's.
When should you book the Rolls-Royce for a Toronto wedding?
As soon as the venue and date are confirmed. A realistic timeline:
- Nine to twelve months out: request the car for a Saturday between May and October, the dates that go first.
- Six months out: confirm the hours, the pickup address and whether the ceremony and reception are at different places.
- Two months out: send the draft timeline and the photographer's shot list to dispatch.
- Two weeks out: final timeline, final addresses and the name of the person who will hold the plan on the day.
- 72 hours out: the cancellation window begins, so lock any changes before then.
Weekday and winter weddings can often be arranged with a few weeks' notice, but we never promise a specific car until the partner confirms it in writing.
Which questions should you ask before confirming the car?
Ask these and get the answers in the written confirmation:
- Which model, colour and year will arrive, and is there a photo of that car?
- Who owns the car and who employs the chauffeur?
- What is the minimum number of hours, and when does the clock start?
- What happens if the car breaks down or becomes unavailable?
- Are ribbons or a sign allowed, and who fits them?
- Is waiting during the ceremony included in the hours, and how is extra time added?
A clear answer to each is worth more than a glossy photo. If an offer elsewhere is vague on any of these, treat that as the real price of the cheaper quote.
How many people fit in a Rolls-Royce with a wedding dress?
Most Rolls-Royce saloons seat up to three or four passengers depending on the car, but a wedding gown changes the count. A full skirt and train fill most of the rear bench, so the realistic load is the bride and one companion, usually a parent, in the back. After the ceremony, the couple ride together and nobody else fits comfortably.
That is why the car rarely works alone. The bridal party travels in a stretch limousine or our own luxury SUV, and the parents of the couple often ride in a first-class sedan. Tell the coordinator the dress style and whether there is a long train; the chauffeur plans the door and the seat position around it.
How long should the Rolls-Royce be booked on the day?
Keep it for the hours where it appears in photographs. For most Toronto weddings that is three to five hours: the pickup from home or the hotel, the ceremony, the photo session and the arrival at the reception. The partner's minimum may set the floor, and extra time is added in 30-minute blocks.
Do not keep the car through dinner unless there is a grand exit planned. Many couples release it after the reception arrival and book one of our own first-class sedans for the late ride to the hotel. The photos look the same, and the late leg is easier to schedule.
| Vehicle | Supplied by | Comfortable load on the day | Best role | Hourly minimum |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rolls-Royce | Partner operator, on request | Bride and one companion, or the couple | Arrival, ceremony exit, photographs | Set by the partner, confirmed in writing |
| Mercedes-Maybach | Partner operator, on request | Two or three passengers | Understated arrival, parents of the couple | Set by the partner, confirmed in writing |
| First-class sedan (S-Class) | Our own fleet | Two passengers | Parents, late exit to the hotel | 3 h |
| Premier luxury SUV | Our own fleet | Up to 6 | Bridesmaids or groomsmen, winter arrivals | 3 h |
| Stretch limousine | Partner operator | 8 to 18 | Full bridal party | 4 h |
| Sprinter luxury van | Our own fleet | 12 | Family and guest shuttle | 3 h |
What does a wedding day timeline look like with a Rolls-Royce?
Here is a plan for a 3 pm ceremony at a midtown church with a reception at Casa Loma, about 6 km from downtown and about 25 km from Pearson:
- 1:30 pm: the Rolls-Royce arrives at the bride's home or hotel, 15 minutes early.
- 2:00 pm: first-look photos at the car, 20 minutes.
- 2:35 pm: departure for the church, allowing 25 minutes for a 15-minute drive.
- 3:00 pm: ceremony; the chauffeur waits at the set-down point.
- 3:50 pm: the couple leave the church in the Rolls-Royce.
- 4:10 pm to 5:15 pm: photo session in two locations.
- 5:40 pm: arrival at the reception.
That is about four and a half hours, with a buffer before every leg. Our post on Toronto wedding venues and the transport plan each needs gives the extra time each venue type adds.
How should the arrival at the ceremony be choreographed?
Plan the last 50 metres, not just the drive. Agree with the photographer which side of the car faces the camera, and tell the chauffeur. Most current Rolls-Royce saloons have rear-hinged rear doors, which open towards the front of the car and frame the bride as she steps out; the chauffeur opens the door, helps with the train and steps back out of the shot.
Ask the venue where the car may stop and for how long. Some churches have a short drive; downtown venues may only allow a brief set-down at the curb. The chauffeur will follow the venue's rules, so build the arrival photos into the time you are allowed to stop, and do the long portraits elsewhere.
Where do Toronto couples take Rolls-Royce wedding photos?
Popular spots, with planning distances from downtown:
- Casa Loma, about 6 km and 15 to 25 minutes: the estate manages photography on its grounds, so check the Casa Loma site for permits. Our Casa Loma page covers the approach.
- The Distillery District, about 2.5 km: brick lanes and Victorian buildings; the car sets down at the perimeter because the lanes are pedestrian-only. See the Distillery District.
- Evergreen Brick Works, about 6 km in the Don Valley: industrial textures and gardens, managed by Evergreen.
- The waterfront along Queens Quay: open sky and the lake, two minutes from most downtown hotels.
Group two locations that are close together. Three locations across the city usually means an hour of the Rolls-Royce in traffic rather than in photos.

What happens if it rains, snows or blows on the day?
Rain is the most common surprise on a June Saturday. Many Rolls-Royce models carry an umbrella in the door, and the chauffeur will also bring one; ask the coordinator to confirm. Choose a covered set-down point at each venue in advance and a backup indoor photo location, such as a hotel lobby or a covered colonnade.
Wind on the waterfront lifts veils and trains, so plan lakeside photos for a calm hour. In winter, partner operators decide whether a particular car runs in snow and salt, so for a December wedding ask the question early and keep one of our own SUVs, which run winter tires from November to April, as the backup. Dispatch checks Environment Canada forecasts in the days before.
Can the Rolls-Royce go to a venue outside the city?
It can, but distance eats the hours you are paying the car to be seen in. King City estates are about 45 km and 40 to 55 minutes from downtown, Caledon about 55 km and 45 to 60 minutes, and Niagara-on-the-Lake about 125 km and 85 to 105 minutes. Some partners also limit how far a particular car will travel.
Two patterns work better. For a country wedding, book the Rolls-Royce from a partner close to the venue for the ceremony and photos, and move the wedding party from Toronto in an SUV or Sprinter. Or hold the city ceremony and photos in the Rolls-Royce and send the couple to the country reception in a first-class sedan booked by the hour.
How does the Rolls-Royce fit with the rest of the wedding fleet?
Treat it as the centrepiece and plan the supporting cars around it. A common combination is the Rolls-Royce for the couple, a stretch limousine or SUV for the bridal party, a sedan for the parents and a Sprinter running guests between the hotel and the reception. One coordinator holds all of them on one booking, and the chauffeurs work from the same timeline.
For the guest side, our post on the wedding shuttle for guests shows how to size the loops. If family is flying in, the travel desk can help book flights and hotel rooms, and dispatch adds the Pearson pickups to the same file.
What about ribbons, signs and decorations?
Ribbons are traditional and usually welcome, but they must be agreed with the partner operator in advance, because the car's paint and trim are the partner's responsibility. Do not tape anything to the bodywork or hang anything from the mirrors. If you want a "just married" sign for the exit, ask the coordinator how it can be fixed, and who will remove it.
Flowers and gifts inside the car are fine if they do not shed petals or water on the upholstery. Confetti, glitter and rice are not allowed in the car. Tell the coordinator in the booking notes so the chauffeur arrives expecting it.
What does the fare include, and what changes it?
We do not publish prices. For a Rolls-Royce, a coordinator prices the booking in writing once the partner confirms the car. The fixed fare includes the car, the chauffeur, fuel, 407 ETR tolls on the planned route and the gratuity, with HST shown separately.
What changes it: the specific car and the partner's minimum hours, the total hours including waiting during the ceremony, the distance to venues outside the city, and the date, since Saturdays in June, August and September book first. Decorations are agreed with the partner. If you are comparing offers, the wedding limo cost guide lists what to compare line by line.
What are the most common Rolls-Royce wedding car mistakes?
- Booking the car for the whole day when it only appears in photos for three or four hours.
- Squeezing three bridesmaids into the back with a full gown.
- Planning photo locations on opposite sides of the city.
- No covered set-down point and no indoor backup if it rains.
- Agreeing on decorations by text message instead of in the confirmation.
- Accepting a "similar luxury car" substitution without seeing the alternative first.
Each one costs time, photos or comfort on the one day you cannot repeat.
Is a Rolls-Royce right for a small or civil ceremony?
Often it is even better. A small wedding with twenty guests, a civil ceremony or an elopement leaves the car as the main event rather than one item among many. The day is shorter, so the hours are easier to fill, and the photos with the car become the centrepiece of the album.
Ontario's rules on licences, banns and officiants are on the province's getting married page; whatever the ceremony, someone must bring the licence. For a micro-wedding, a typical plan is pickup, ceremony, a 45-minute photo drive and dinner, all inside a short booking.

How do I request a Rolls-Royce wedding car?
Open the reservation engine, choose hourly service, enter the date, the first pickup and the venues, and write "Rolls-Royce" and the colour preference in the notes. A coordinator confirms the partner's car, the minimum hours and the fixed fare in writing. Add the rest of the wedding cars to the same request, and read how to book a wedding limo for the questions dispatch will ask. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup, then 10 %, 50 % and 100 % as the day approaches.
