Michelin star restaurants in Toronto are listed in the Michelin Guide's Toronto and Region selection, first published in 2022 and updated yearly. The 2025 selection, released in September 2025, named starred rooms in the city and beyond, including two-star Restaurant Pearl Morissette in Lincoln. Book the table early, plan to arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your seating, and keep a chauffeur by the hour.
Michelin star restaurants in Toronto have become the most sought-after tables in the city, and the most unforgiving: fixed seatings, long menus and strict policies on late arrivals and cancellations. This guide explains how the selection works, how to book and how to plan the evening around it. For the car itself, our date night and dinner chauffeur page explains hourly booking. Distances are typical planning figures from Union Station and from Toronto Pearson (YYZ).
Michelin star restaurants in Toronto: how does the guide work here?
The Michelin Guide arrived in Toronto in 2022 and now publishes a Toronto and Region selection. It awards one, two or three stars for cooking, and it also lists Bib Gourmand restaurants for good value, Green Stars for sustainable practice and a longer list of recommended restaurants. Michelin announced that its 2025 selection totalled 106 restaurants across all categories.
The selection is reviewed each year, usually with an announcement in the autumn, so restaurants gain and lose recognition. Check the guide itself for the current list before you book; anything printed on a blog, including this one, can be out of date by next season.
Which restaurants were starred in the 2025 selection?
In the 2025 selection, Restaurant Pearl Morissette in Lincoln was promoted to two stars, and aKin entered the guide with one star. Other starred names in that year's selection included Alo, Aburi Hana, DaNico, Edulis, Enigma Yorkville, Kaiseki Yuzen Hashimoto, Kappo Sato, Osteria Giulia, Quetzal, Restaurant 20 Victoria, Shoushin and Sushi Masaki Saito in Toronto, Hexagon in Oakville and The Pine in Creemore.
We drive guests to many of these rooms but have no arrangement with any restaurant, and we do not rank them. A newer selection may have been published since; the guide is the authority.

Why are tasting-menu reservations so hard to get?
Small dining rooms, fixed seatings and high demand. Many starred restaurants seat only a few dozen guests a night, or a dozen at a counter, and release tables on a set schedule, often weeks ahead. Popular dates disappear in minutes. Practical habits help: note the restaurant's release day and time, be flexible on weeknights, and join any waitlist the restaurant offers.
Many such restaurants hold the booking with a card or a prepayment and apply their own cancellation terms. Read them before you confirm, and book the car only after the table is secure.
Are Bib Gourmand restaurants a good alternative?
Often, and they are much easier to book. The Bib Gourmand list recognises good cooking at moderate prices, and in Toronto it spans neighbourhood favourites across many cuisines. Michelin named six new Bib Gourmands in the 2025 selection. For a relaxed date night or a group dinner, a Bib Gourmand room gives you a guide-recognised meal without a release-day scramble, and the evening is shorter, so a three-hour chauffeur block usually covers it.
How early should we arrive for a starred dinner?
Aim for 15 to 20 minutes before your seating. Counters and single-seating menus start together; a couple arriving late can miss courses or lose the table. That means the car must leave with a real buffer: planning drive time plus 15 minutes, more on Friday evenings, game nights and in snow.
The chauffeur drops you at the door or the nearest legal stop and confirms the pickup plan before you go in. Restaurants usually tell you the expected finish time; give it to the chauffeur so the car is at the door, not around the block, when you step out.
Why is an hourly chauffeur the right fit?
Because a tasting menu lasts two and a half to four hours, often with a wine pairing, and nobody should be driving afterwards. With an hourly chauffeur the car stays with you from pickup to home: no ride-hail search at 11:30 pm, no parking garage, no designated driver drinking water through the pairing. Sedans and SUVs carry a 3-hour minimum, and four hours is a sensible baseline for a city starred dinner.

How does a starred dinner in Lincoln or Creemore work?
Treat it as a day out. Restaurant Pearl Morissette sits in the countryside near Jordan Station in the Town of Lincoln, about 85 km and 60 to 75 minutes from downtown on the QEW. The Pine in Creemore is about 115 km north-west, roughly 90 to 110 minutes, the last stretch on country roads. Rural roads are dark, unlit and sometimes snowy, which is exactly where you want a professional at the wheel after a long meal.
Book a seven-to-eight-hour block, or drive out, stay overnight and return the next day. The Twenty Valley tourism site lists wineries and inns around Lincoln; our Niagara wine country page covers the drive. The travel desk can hold a room nearby.
And Oakville?
Hexagon in Oakville is the closest out-of-town starred room: 38 km and 30 to 45 minutes from downtown, and only about 25 km from Pearson, which makes it a good first-night dinner for a visitor landing in the afternoon. Visit Oakville covers the town's lakeside downtown. A five-hour hourly block covers the drive both ways and a long dinner.
What should we wear and bring?
Most starred rooms in Toronto are smart rather than formal, but check the restaurant's own guidance. Bring the reservation confirmation and the name it is under. Tell the restaurant about allergies when you book, not at the table; tasting menus are prepared in advance. Leave coats, shopping and luggage in the car's locked trunk. If the dinner is a gift, the chauffeur can hold flowers or a present in the car until the end of the meal.
How do we handle a dinner on the day we land at Pearson?
Carefully. Pearson is about 27 km and 25 to 45 minutes from downtown, but customs and bags are unpredictable. Leave at least two hours between an international landing and a starred seating, and 90 minutes after a domestic one. The chauffeur tracks the flight and meets you at Pearson's pre-arranged pickup area; meet and greet inside arrivals is an optional add-on at booking. Luggage stays in the trunk until the hotel.
What are the mistakes that cost people the table?
- Booking the car for the reservation time instead of 15 to 20 minutes before it.
- Forgetting the Gardiner's weekend closures or a Leafs game on Bay Street.
- Planning a one-way ride home and waiting outside at midnight.
- Driving yourselves to Lincoln and skipping the wine pairing.
- Not reading the restaurant's cancellation terms before booking flights or cars around it.
Can we combine a starred dinner with an overnight stay?
Yes, and for the countryside rooms it is the most relaxed choice. The chauffeur drives you out in the afternoon, you check in, dine, and the car returns the next day at an agreed time, perhaps via a winery. Overnight trips with the chauffeur staying nearby are also available, arranged at booking. In the city, a Yorkville or Financial District hotel near the restaurant turns the evening into a short break.
How do we plan a starred dinner for clients?
A tasting menu is a strong way to thank a client, and it needs the same planning as a board meeting. Confirm dietary needs with every guest before booking, since some kitchens cannot change a set menu on the night. Collect guests from their hotels or offices in one Executive Sprinter or two sedans so everyone arrives together, and arrange the return to each hotel in reverse order. Dinners often run past 11 pm, so a five-hour block is safer than four. For billing on a company account, see corporate car service.
What if a guest uses a wheelchair?
Tell us at booking. We have a wheelchair-accessible vehicle for guests who need to remain in their chair; book it well ahead and describe the wheelchair or scooter. For guests who can transfer to a seat, the chauffeur folds and stows the chair. Check the restaurant's entrance and washroom access too, since several small dining rooms are in older buildings with steps.
Which vehicle suits a Michelin dinner?
For two, a first-class sedan: quiet, discreet and easy at a narrow curb. For four to six, a premier luxury SUV, which is also the best car on dark country roads in winter. Our cars run winter tires from November to April. Alcohol is not allowed in our vehicles, so the pairing stays at the table.
What does the fare include, and how do we book?
The reservation engine shows a fixed, all-in fare before you confirm: chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, 407 ETR tolls on the planned route and gratuity, with HST separately. Secure the table, then open the reservation engine, choose hourly, enter the pickup and put the restaurant and seating time in the notes.
