A Four Seasons Toronto to Pearson car service covers about 26 km from Yorkville Avenue to Terminal 1 or 3, typically 25 to 45 minutes via Highway 401 and 427 or the Gardiner. Leave about three hours before an international flight and two hours before a domestic or US one. TorontoBlackLimousine.com shows the fixed fare before you confirm and the chauffeur meets you at the hotel entrance.
The Four Seasons Hotel Toronto sits at 60 Yorkville Avenue, a block west of Bay Street. Our Yorkville hotels car service page covers the neighbourhood as a whole; this post is narrower. It walks through the one trip almost every guest takes: the run between the hotel and Toronto Pearson (YYZ), in both directions, with the timings our dispatchers actually use.

How does a Four Seasons Toronto to Pearson car service work?
You book in our reservation engine with "Four Seasons Hotel Toronto" or the street address, the date, the pickup time, your flight number and the number of passengers and bags. The engine shows a fixed, all-in fare for the vehicle you choose before you confirm. The night before, dispatch assigns a chauffeur and a car; on the day, the chauffeur arrives at the hotel's front entrance a few minutes early and messages you the vehicle details. Bags go into the trunk, you go into the back seat, and the next stop is the departures curb of your terminal. There is no meter and no app to download, and you deal with one dispatch desk from booking to drop-off.
How far is the Four Seasons from each Pearson terminal?
Planning figures from Yorkville Avenue on a weekday outside the rush:
| From the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto to | Distance | Typical drive | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pearson Terminal 1 | about 26 km | 25–45 min | Air Canada and most Star Alliance partners use T1 |
| Pearson Terminal 3 | about 26 km | 25–45 min | Check your booking; airlines move |
| Billy Bishop (YTZ), Eireann Quay | about 6 km | 15–25 min | Porter and Air Canada short-haul flights |
| Union Station (UP Express) | about 5 km | 10–20 min | Rail link to Terminal 1 only |
| Hamilton airport (YHM) | about 80 km | 60–85 min | Occasional low-cost departures |
The two terminals are close together, but the drop-off ramps are separate, so always tell us which one your airline uses. Our Pearson terminal pickup guide explains both.
Which route does the chauffeur take out of Yorkville?
There are two sensible routes, and the dispatcher picks one for the hour. The northern route runs up Avenue Road to Highway 401, west along the collector or express lanes and then onto Highway 427 into the airport. The southern route drops down to the Gardiner Expressway and follows it west to the 427. Weekday mornings usually favour the Gardiner because the westbound 401 fills early; Friday afternoons often favour the reverse. Weekend Gardiner maintenance closures, posted ahead of time on Ontario 511 and by the City, push the car onto the 401. You do not need to choose: tell us the flight time and the dispatcher builds the buffer into the pickup.
What time should I leave the Four Seasons for my flight?
Our working rule for Yorkville departures is three hours before an international departure and two hours before a domestic or US flight, then add time for the following:
- Weekday mornings before 9:30 a.m.: add 15 to 20 minutes.
- Friday afternoons and holiday weekends: add 20 minutes.
- Snow or freezing rain: add 20 to 30 minutes; the dispatcher will message you the evening before.
- US flights: US preclearance happens at Pearson before you board, so those passengers need the full two hours or more.
- Checked bags for a family: add 10 minutes for loading at the hotel and unloading at the curb.
If in doubt, leave earlier. A quiet half hour in the lounge is better than a tight bag-drop cut-off.
What does the departure morning look like, hour by hour?
A typical 1:00 p.m. flight to London from Terminal 3 looks like this:
- 8:30 a.m. Breakfast and packing; ask the front desk to prepare the bill.
- 9:30 a.m. The chauffeur's message arrives with the car and plate number.
- 9:40 a.m. Check-out; bell staff bring the bags down.
- 9:45 a.m. The car leaves Yorkville Avenue, routed by the dispatcher.
- 10:20 a.m. Drop-off at the Terminal 3 departures curb; the chauffeur unloads bags onto a cart.
- 10:25 a.m. Check-in, security and plenty of time before boarding.
The same plan works for any international flight; shift every step by your departure time.

What mistakes make Yorkville guests late for Pearson?
Most late arrivals at the airport come from the same handful of errors:
- Booking the wrong terminal. Codeshares can put you on a partner airline in the other terminal.
- Settling the bill at the last minute. A queue at the front desk can eat fifteen minutes.
- Underestimating luggage. Four large cases will not fit a sedan; book an SUV.
- Booking a pickup time equal to the flight time minus the drive. The drive is only part of it; bag drop and security take longer.
- Ignoring a festival week. During TIFF in September, Yorkville streets slow sharply.
A two-minute note in the booking avoids all five.
Which vehicle fits a Four Seasons airport run?
| Traveller | Recommended class | Seats / large bags | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo executive, carry-on | Business sedan | 2 / 2 | Simple and quiet |
| Executive or VIP couple | First-class sedan | 2 / 2 | S-Class comfort for a long-haul day |
| Family of four, two large cases each | Premier luxury SUV | 6 / 4 | Space for strollers and car seats |
| Small team or film crew | Executive Sprinter | 7 seats | Everyone together, kit behind |
| Wedding party or large family | Sprinter luxury van | 12 seats | One vehicle, one arrival |
Electric preference? The Tesla Model Y class covers the same Pearson run for two people and two bags.
What happens when I land at Pearson and head to the Four Seasons?
For arrivals the chauffeur tracks your flight, so delays move the pickup automatically. Included waiting counts from actual landing: 30 minutes for Canadian domestic and US flights and 60 minutes for other international arrivals. Pickup is curbside at the terminal's designated pre-arranged pickup area on the arrivals level, as Toronto Pearson describes; you tell the pickup-area dispatcher you have a pre-arranged ride, and the chauffeur pulls up. If you would rather be met inside arrivals with a name board, add meet and greet at booking. From the curb to Yorkville Avenue is usually 25 to 45 minutes, and the chauffeur hands the bags to the bell staff.
Is the UP Express a sensible alternative from Yorkville?
Sometimes, and we say so. The UP Express runs between Union Station and Terminal 1 in about 28 minutes, with stops at Bloor, Mount Dennis and Weston. For a solo traveller with a carry-on flying from Terminal 1, a short subway or taxi ride to Union or the Bloor station and the train is a perfectly good trip. It stops making sense with checked bags, children, a Terminal 3 flight, an early departure before trains run, or a late arrival when you would rather not change vehicles twice. Our Pearson UP Express vs limo guide sets the trade-offs out in full.
When does an hourly chauffeur beat a one-way transfer?
On a day with several stops. A guest flying out in the evening might want a morning meeting on Bay Street, lunch in Yorkville, a last fitting on Bloor Street and then the airport. Booking four one-way cars means four waits at the curb. Our hourly chauffeur service keeps one car and one chauffeur from a 3-hour minimum, with extra time in 30-minute blocks; the bags stay locked in the trunk all day and the last stop is the departures curb. The same logic applies on arrival days when you land in the morning but cannot check in until the afternoon.
Can the chauffeur hold luggage before an evening flight?
Yes, within an hourly booking. Many hotels will hold bags after check-out, but if you are spending the afternoon away from Yorkville it is easier to keep them with you. The luggage stays in the locked vehicle, the chauffeur stays with the car, and you do not need to come back to the hotel. If you prefer to leave bags with the hotel, the chauffeur can collect them first and then pick you up elsewhere; mention it in the booking notes so the timing is right.
What changes the fare for a Four Seasons to Pearson trip?
This site prints no prices. The reservation engine shows the full fixed fare before you confirm, covering the chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, 407 ETR tolls on the planned route, airport fees and gratuity, with HST shown separately. What moves it is the vehicle class, the distance and time, any extra stops, waiting beyond the included allowance, add-ons such as meet and greet or child seats, and the date and hour. Our page on how our fares work explains each factor, and the engine will show your exact fare in about a minute without committing you.
How does the trip work for families with young children?
Child seats (infant, convertible and booster) are available at booking; give each child's weight and height and dispatch sends the right seat, installed before the car arrives. An SUV is the practical choice for a family: a sedan with two child seats leaves no room for a third adult and little for bags. If your children are travelling with only one parent or with grandparents, carry the documents the airline asks for; airlines check them at the counter, and families are caught out at check-in every summer.
Can the travel desk book the flight and room as well?
Yes. Our travel desk works with BookingWorldwide.net to put flights, a Yorkville hotel and the chauffeured transfers on one itinerary, which suits assistants managing an executive's trip and families who want one file. You can still book the car on its own at any time, and the car booking stays on the same account as any other ride you take with us.
What about the other Yorkville and downtown hotels?
The same timing applies across the neighbourhood, with small differences in the first kilometre. Guests at the Park Hyatt on Avenue Road have their own options, covered in our Park Hyatt Toronto car service post, and guests downtown on Wellington Street can read the Ritz-Carlton Toronto airport transfer post. For the hotel list across the city, see the luxury hotels in Toronto page.
What if my plans change or I need to cancel?
Tell the dispatcher as early as you can; pickup times move easily when we have notice. Cancelling more than 72 hours before the scheduled pickup costs nothing; 72 hours or less is 10 %, 48 hours or less is 50 %, and 24 hours or less or a no-show is 100 %. A delayed flight on arrival is not a no-show: the chauffeur follows the real landing time.
