Canada's Wonderland tickets come as single-day tickets, season passes (including Gold and Prestige tiers), memberships, group tickets and add-ons such as Fast Lane and dining plans, all sold online by the park, which recommends buying in advance. The park is in Vaughan, about 40 km (35 to 55 minutes) from downtown Toronto and 33 km (25 to 40 minutes) from Pearson.
Our Canada's Wonderland car service page covers distances, the drop-off near the entrance and the vehicles that suit a park day. This post is about the two decisions that come before the car: which ticket to buy for your group, and how to shape a twelve-hour day so it does not end with an exhausted parent driving the 400 at midnight.
Which Canada's Wonderland tickets are there?
Canada's Wonderland is operated by Six Flags, and the park's official site lists these ticket and pass types today:
- Single-day tickets for one visit on one date.
- Season passes, including Gold and Prestige tiers with more benefits.
- Memberships that give season-long access on a recurring basis.
- Fast Lane, an add-on that shortens waits for rides.
- Group tickets for schools, camps, companies and large parties.
- Dining deals and packages, plus other add-ons and rentals.
- Pre-K passes for young children.
The park also sells hotel packages and vacation bundles. What each tier includes, and the price, change from season to season, so read the current details on the park's site before you choose. We never print prices on this site, ours or anyone else's.
Which ticket suits which visitor?
| Visitor | Ticket that usually fits | Worth checking on the park site |
|---|---|---|
| Out-of-town family, one visit | Single-day tickets bought online for a set date | Whether a dining plan suits your group |
| GTA family going three or more times | Season pass or membership | Which tier includes parking, events or friend benefits |
| Teen group on a Halloween Haunt night | Event-night ticket or a pass that covers Haunt | Age guidance for the event |
| Coaster fans with one day only | Single-day ticket plus Fast Lane | Fast Lane availability on your date |
| School, camp or company outing | Group tickets | Minimum group sizes and coach drop-off rules |
| Parents of toddlers | Pre-K pass where eligible | Age limits and which rides suit little ones |
If you are arriving by chauffeured car, parking benefits on a pass matter less to you, which can change which tier is best value. Look at what you will actually use.
What is inside the park?
The official site lists more than 200 attractions and 18 roller coasters, among them Leviathan, Behemoth and Yukon Striker. Two children's areas, KidZville and Planet Snoopy, have more than 25 rides between them, and Splash Works is a 20-acre water park with slides, a lazy river, a wave pool and cliff jumping. There is live entertainment, dining and shopping across the site. In practice that means a family with a mix of ages will split up at some point; agree a meeting point and a time before you do, and give the chauffeur the same meeting time at the end of the day.
When should you go?
The park now runs in four seasons. For 2026 the official site lists Halloween Haunt on select nights from September 25 to November 1, a family event called Tricks and Treats on weekends through November 1, and WinterFest for the holidays. Summer is about rides and Splash Works; autumn evenings are about Haunt; winter is lights and seasonal shows. In summer, weekdays in June before school ends and the second half of August are usually calmer than July weekends. Dates and hours change every year, so confirm them on the park's calendar before you set a pickup time.
What does a full day from downtown look like?
A July Tuesday for a family of five staying at a Financial District hotel, with single-day tickets bought online the evening before:
| Time | Step | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 8:45 a.m. | Pickup at the hotel; child seats fitted | About 40 km north via the 401 and the 400 |
| 9:35 a.m. | Set-down near the park entrance | Morning traffic on the 401 decides the exact time |
| 9:45 a.m. | Through the gates as the park opens | Head to the busiest coaster first |
| 12:30 p.m. | Lunch and shade | Dining plans make this quicker |
| 1:30 to 4 p.m. | Splash Works | Lockers and towels are on the park's list |
| 4 to 8 p.m. | Rides, shows, KidZville or Planet Snoopy | Agree one family meeting point |
| 8:15 p.m. | Text the chauffeur; walk to the pickup point | The car arrives as you do |
| 9:10 p.m. | Back at the hotel | Children asleep before the 401 |
That is two one-way bookings: out in the morning, back in the evening at a time you set, or adjust on the day with dispatch.
When does an hourly chauffeur beat two one-way rides?
For a full day at the park, two one-way rides usually make more sense, because nobody needs the car for ten hours in the middle. An hourly chauffeur is better for a short visit of three to five hours, for a Haunt night when you cannot predict the finish, and for days that add other stops in Vaughan. Hourly bookings have a 3-hour minimum, with extra time in 30-minute blocks, and the chauffeur stays nearby. Our hourly versus point-to-point guide has worked examples.
How do Halloween Haunt nights change the plan?
Haunt nights start late and end late, and they draw teenagers and young adults in groups. That changes three things. The finish time is uncertain, so hourly works better than a fixed pickup. The group wants to arrive and leave together, so one Sprinter or a party vehicle beats four ride-hails. And parents want an adult they trust driving home on the 400 after dark. For teen groups we ask for one named adult contact and a pickup list, and the chauffeur sticks to both. Alcohol is not allowed in our vehicles, on any booking, including party buses and stretch limousines. Check the park's age guidance for Haunt before you buy tickets. For bigger celebrations, see birthday ideas in Toronto with a limo.
Which vehicle fits which group?
| Group | Vehicle | Seats |
|---|---|---|
| Family with young children | SUV | 6, child seats at booking |
| Two families or a friend group | Sprinter luxury van | 12 |
| Birthday party in style | Stretch limousine, partner operator | 8, 10, 14 or 18 |
| Big teen or office group | Party bus, partner operator | 20 or 30 |
| School or camp trip | Coach | 55 |
Stretch limousines and party buses come from vetted partner operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network and have hourly minimums of 4 hours and 4 to 5 hours respectively; a coordinator confirms them in writing.
What do families forget on a Wonderland day?
- Buying tickets at the gate on a busy Saturday instead of online in advance.
- Leaving swimwear, towels and a change of clothes at home on a Splash Works day.
- Setting a fixed 6 p.m. pickup, then staying for the evening shows.
- Not agreeing a family meeting point before splitting up.
- Forgetting sunscreen and water bottles in July heat.
- Driving themselves, then facing the 400 and the 401 at night after twelve hours on their feet.
Can you fly in and go straight to the park?
Yes. The park is about 33 km from Toronto Pearson, typically 25 to 40 minutes via Highway 427 and the 407 ETR, or the 401 and the 400. The chauffeur tracks your flight and meets you at Pearson's pre-arranged pickup area on the arrivals curb; meet and greet inside arrivals is available at booking. Most visiting families stay in Vaughan near Highway 400; our Vaughan and Wonderland hotels page lists the area. For the trip back to the airport, see Canada's Wonderland to Pearson car service. Our travel desk books flights and hotels on the same plan as the car.
What else is close to the park?
Vaughan Mills is about 5 km away, 8 to 12 minutes, and its LEGOLAND Discovery Centre and shopping suit a rainy morning or a short second day. Our Vaughan shopping by private car post covers that trip. The McMichael gallery in Kleinburg is closed for redevelopment until 2029, so do not plan it into a 2026 or 2027 trip.
What if the weather turns?
Summer in the GTA brings heat waves and sudden thunderstorms. The park closes rides when there is lightning nearby, and outdoor coasters may pause in high wind, so a stormy afternoon can mean a long wait under cover. Check the Environment Canada forecast the night before and again in the morning. On a doubtful day, a single-day ticket for a better date, or a short hourly visit, may be wiser than a full day you cannot use. If a storm arrives mid-afternoon, text dispatch: on an hourly booking the chauffeur can be at the pickup point quickly, and on a one-way booking we can move the return earlier when a car is free. In autumn, Haunt evenings get cold quickly after sunset, so pack warm layers for the walk back to the car.
Is the drive home really the hardest part?
For most families, yes. The park closes when everyone is tired, the 400 south and the 401 are busy in both directions, and the person driving has been walking for twelve hours. A chauffeur turns that last hour into the quiet part of the day: the children sleep, the adults rest, and nobody has to find the car in a huge lot in the dark. Our chauffeurs check Ontario 511 before leaving and choose the clearest route home.
How is the fare worked out?
The reservation engine shows a fixed fare before you confirm, with HST shown separately, and 407 ETR tolls on the planned route are included, so taking the 407 from Pearson costs you nothing extra. It depends on the vehicle class, the distance and time, waiting, extra stops, the hours on an hourly booking and the date; summer Saturdays and Haunt weekends are in demand. Read how our fares work for the full list. Park tickets, passes and Fast Lane are separate and are bought from the park. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup, then 10 %, 50 % and 100 % at 72, 48 and 24 hours or less.
How do you book the ride?
- Buy your park tickets or pass online for the date.
- Open the reservation engine and choose one-way, round trip or hourly.
- Enter the pickup and Canada's Wonderland, Vaughan, as the destination, plus a return time.
- Choose the vehicle and add child seats.
- See the fixed fare and confirm.
